  1. @Georgia_Peaches so excited to join along with your adventure. First of all a big Happy Anniversary to you and Mr Georgia Peaches. How exciting to string together so many bucket list and first time experiences. I was chuckling about the Pre-Pre-Pre Inaugural Cruises --- Sounds like a born again Virgin. oops I didn't say that. We will be leaving on our next adventure on Monday but may hold off beginning my live to give me something to do on my 18 hours flight to Singapore. If you can - book Eden for your Anniversary - It is absolutely incredible and in my opinion better food than Murano but not as special of an ambiance.
  2. First Welcome - As far as workouts go I don't think you will be disappointed with any class of ships. Much depends on what you like for exercise. All ships have about a dozen treadmills and elliptical. They also have free weights, exercise machines, pelaton bikes, Regular bikes, rowing machines etc. As for Tracks for jogging or walking definitely one of the E-Class. They have a long track that traverses two decks and provides a little cardio and also much more change on scenery. If you let me know what you like in a gym will see if I can pull up a picture or two.
  3. Reading from the West Coast, so just now hearing of the delay. It is like reading an exciting suspense novel . Hope all aboard are able to make their flights and have safe travel home. Having been on delayed on both Flights and Cruises arrivals the delays can really raise the emotions when you have tight connections. Good luck to all.
  4. Good posts. Everything in Eden is fantastic. Not to miss in my opinion is the Nova Scotia Live Lobster dish (actually 1/2 of a lobster - tail and claw. Incredible.
  5. I did one today and the refund from OBC goes back within seconds. Also one of my excursions was sold out and came back in inventory within a minute and then was able to re-book it at the sale price. I only saved $10 pp but rather in my pocket. I checked my other tours and most I had repriced during a 45% flash sale and are much cheaper than this sale.
  6. Alexandra Noticing a couple changes to the Luminae Menu - Curious about the Carrot Desert on Day one. Did Jarle enjoy it. I just told Iain I may order that but order something else as a backup. I noticed they have been serving a lot of carrots.
  7. I recently did a paid upgrade on a booking the the Gratuities included. They gratuities stayed after the upgrade.
  8. You do not have to pay premium. All is included with your suite. If you want something not on the Menu just write it in. I like a Dry Cappuccino so just write in Double Cappuccino Extra Dry. Unless you ask otherwise they will call you when they are on the way from the kitchen to give you a chance to be decent. Only quirky thine is that if you want toast, butter and jam you need to specify how many of each So 1 White Toast, 2 butter 2 Jam They now have a Butler team instead of of a dedicated butler.
  9. We often do multi segments B2B2B's. We no longer go to the shows so not important to us. You will find it very comfortable to do a B4B as you get to know the staff and instead of trying to do everything you will find you meld into Life at sea and just enjoy things at a leisurely pace. Earlier this year we did a B2B Caribbean, Trans Atlantic and then took a one week break in Amsterdam and then rejoined the ship for the British Isle Cruise. As you said you will see the same menus. They have a 15 day rotation and usually begin with day one on each cruise but sometimes they mix them up if they have a lot of B2B's - They also do shift them a bit to accommodate the Chic nights.
  10. Generally if you book on Celebrity you will begin by booking with no perks but possibly a promotion during certain sales. As you proceed through the booking process you will be requested if you wish to included You will then be asked if Then you will be asked if you would like to prepay Gratuities - In October of this year they eliminated gratuities as part of the all included. If I'm not mistaken the drink package is the Classic but you can later upgrade it if you choose. And finally you can choose to add insurance or to book a Fully Refundable fare. To get comfortable on Celebrity I would recommend you do a mock booking. Just go to the cruise and pretend like you will book .... On the final page it will show you your fare and what is included.
  11. If you miss the current cruise - They will repeat it in about 2 weeks. They are doing a Singapore to Hong Kong and then Hong Kong to Singapore until March 15
  12. For that special 40th Birthday you might consider booking Tuscan. You then wouldn't have to worry about being allowed or not allowed to dine because of capacity. If you are flexible about your timing I'm sure Luminae Maitre D' will work with you if you choose to eat in Luminae.
  13. Check the CURRENT cruise - Click Head Icon - Choose Select a Different Cruise Go to Bottom - Don't See Your Cruise Let's add it now Just above the Color advertisement Select Browse our Ships Select Solstice Select November 3 -16th Click Daily Planner By Default filtered on ALL -- but you can filter by day and type activity Not real intuitive
  14. I hate to say we once had a line like that at Heathrow. They only had two immigration officers on and took us 2 1/2 hours to clear. We had a Limo Driver waiting and we stayed in touch with his office - He didn't even want to charge us extra but we gave him a HUGE tip.
  15. If more than one guest Uber is a usually a better choice as you are paying for the car as oppose to per person. The shuttle can also be slower as you have to wait for the bus to fill up.
  16. You should be able to see it in the App for the current sailing. Click the Activities. You can also filter by which type activity and then at bottom select each day. Once on the ship you can select activity and it will remind you.
  17. Alexandra and Jarle I wanted also express my sorry that your first day was a bit of a disaster. The first night in Luminae (as well as many other dining rooms) is usually a train wreck). It is one reason we often eat in Specialty Dining on the first night. Luminae on the first day - especially they type turn around you have is also usually out of control. I'm only pointing this out in hope that you will find it totally different today. I think the main problem is the staff and passengers are settling in and getting to know each other and all kinds are problems are being attended to. I am cautiously optimistic that you will find Luminae much different tonight. Ask the receptionist to be seated in a quieter area tonight and politely say we don't mind having to wait. Last cruise there was this lady that was very drunk on the first night and overly loud. The next night I asked the Maitre d' to be seated as far as possible from that loud lady - He first said which one then smiled and said..... ahhh.. I know who you are speaking of. We both laughed.
  18. Thanks Gerry - Incredible to hear how much of a mess it was. At time things just spiral out of control. We were on a cruise on Summit and due to a screw up 80% of the sea passes didn't have the drink packages printed on them. You can imagine Customer Service with 1,600 on line. The line went up the stairs and thru the Casino. The Hotel Director wasn't aware of it and it was brought up at the Zenith Lunch - The Captain looked at him like -- we will be discussing this as he also was not aware. How they didn't notice the lines is beyond me.
  19. If you haven't read it - @GenerationX just posted a review of Le Voyager - She has done it a couple times in the past. Also has some nice pictures -
  20. We had a stop in Noumea once and NOTHING was open. They did have a little cho-cho train to drive around the small town and Fee Wifi in the parks but that was about it. We were off an back on the ship in 45 minutes.
  21. Are there any estimates yet on how many B2B's in Singapore? The Retreat Hosts can usually pull it up.
  22. I guess you could always book and put a phantom passenger and later remove the second passenger.
