  1. Keep in mind all the rooms can be setup as Singles or "King". Actually the bed is a "European King" measures to that of a U.S. Queen. Upper suites have actual U.S. Kings. When you arrive - don't despair as rooms are usually set up with the beds together but your room attendant will split them during turn down service.
  2. You should get 1 internet Premium Wifi Account for each passenger. Each passengers creates a unique Logon and Password and an use unlimited devices but only 1 at a time. If you log on a second you are aked if you wish to bump the other off the air. With Starlink you should get in the range of 2.5-5 mps. Not as fast as land but I regularly stream content and have done many internet calls as well as Zoom meeting. Reliability at sea is often better than in port where I sometimes have problems and shift to Fee TMobile Data Roaming.
  3. Respectfully disagree. With a Suite Guarantee you get all the perks as do other suite guests. Possibly you are thinking about being upgraded on a Bid - in that case you are correct. The only difference of a suite guarantee is you can not pick a room and one will be assigned to you prior to or at boarding.
  4. We hand an interesting B2B in Reykjavik. It was a total mess for both departing and arriving passengers as they just didn't have the infrastructure of busses and taxi's to handle the passenger load. The night before we were told that Iceland authorities considered us in-transit since we had stops before and after in Iceland. They gave us our new sea passes and asked for our old ones to scan us off the fist cruise. We got them back later. We had to change rooms but our room attendant got our room ready while we were at breakfast and and we had full access of the ship until General Boarding began. Downside it was such a mess at the port with some waiting 2 hours for cabs that we didn't even get off the ship and didn't see Reykjavik.
  5. Unfortunately no. Even when traveling in a Penthouse you have to go through it. We were given a Golden Glove treatment on a recent cruise as a Zenith and top Cruiser on the next. They had us wait in the retreat while others met in a lounge and then when ready the Documentation Officer came into Retreat and asked us to follow him and he escorted us off so would be first to clear immigration. LOL.... Then we waited in a gang area with everyone else before allowed back on the ship. It was a nice gesture
  6. If it was yours --- credits due to you. I just googled on it and foudn a copy. Couldn't find mine - too many pictures.
  7. Glad to hear of the small bar. Can you actually sit at the bar or is it just a serving bar? I'm not into laying in the sun so never have even had "snacks" up there.
  8. Probably - first try to buy 2 and if it doesn't work. Buy one under your name and one under your Spouses account.
  9. Generally when the status changes as you indicated it means you won the upgrade and will be notified within 48 hours. Saying that on one of my recent cruises it did the same and two days later they both reverted back to pending . Finally I then got notified I had been upgraded.
  10. Since it will be after final payment date he will loose his entire deposit and final payment. Your daughter will enjoy the room to herself and continue with him either being a cancellation or no-show. If he were to have gotten any cause for cancellation insurance and you cancel him before the cruise he might be able to get 80-100% of his payment back. Your daughter would not be impacted. I know someone that this happened to.
  11. Are you referring to the site that starts with a T or F
  12. That means you are too far out for your cruise and are only seeing the first 7 day stock menus. You should be able to view them by selecting a current sailing with the same number of days. Your will be loaded and probably correct about a week prior to your cruise.
  13. You will have a letter delivered to your room as well as a meeting to give full details. The protocol is usually the same but sometime you are processed aboard other times (most common) in the Terminal. The letter pretty much tells you everything you will need to know .
  14. I had the same happen. Usually the new luggage tag shows up about 24 hours after upgrade. You can either reprint it or one last minute after the ship manifest closed, I just scratched out the old number and wrote the new one with a sharpie. I also already had name and address on the tag. Luggage arrived correctly.
  15. A good resource will be to download the Celebrity App. In additions to all bars, shops and coffee they show the opening and closing times. The Retreat Sundeck is open 8Am - 8PM Snacks 11:20-2:30 If I recall correctly (sure someone will correct me if wrong) There is no Bar up there but they have a bar setup in the backroom. You just order your drink and they deliver it. Light Lunch and snacks available. They do also have a Hot Tub and showers as well as loungers with some having protection from the sun. They do charge to use the Cabanas but they are located on the Lawn Club. The charge includes a Liter Bottle of Premium Booze or Champagne, Beer and food.
  16. We sail Europe often and you will see many dress a bit better than on a Caribbean Cruise but the dress code is the same. You will probably see more dinner jackets, Tux and Fancy gowns on European Cruises. If you enjoy dressing up you will not feel out of place and I'm sure you will both look wonderful. Chic dress code was designed to allow guest to dress within limits as they choose
  17. Not possible. The seating is limited in Blu which is the reason they also don't allow to book more than 2 PAX per room in Aqua. They do allow guests from Suites at no cost on a space available basis.
  18. I wouldn't schedule anything before noon. Not sure of mode of transportation but would run about 1 1/2 hour by car (without traffic) to 2 1/2 hour by train and you have to get from the port to train station
  19. I really have not seemed much difference at all. Having said that on Summit in October there were some crew shortages but they worked well around them Because of crew going home they got down to only having 2 butlers to handle all the suites on the ship. They really worked their tails off and didn't see any drop in service. We had one waiter in Luminae that they pulled from MDR. He was only an Assistant waiter and was terrified and shaking the first night as he knew we were Zenith's. He turned out to be one of the best waiter's we have ever had and we chat often. First night we encouraged him to calm down and we would give him pointers. By our third cruise we were playing with him and would swap the knife and fork and would chuckle with him when he realized. We would learn a little Indonesian phrase each night and he was good about teaching us and correcting Google with small meanings.
  20. You could check a current cruise. Generally they can be relied on about 7-10 days prior to sailing. If it is a 7 night cruise they may be already loaded as a place holder under Loyalty and Suites the last one far right - on some ships they stick along with the other restaurants. Of course they are subject to change but they usually use the same stock menus on all ships starting with Day 1 Menu.
  21. Room Service and OVC use lavazza. I personally find it very acidic and can only drink it with milk or cream. I usually drink Black Coffee. They have Whole Milk, Cream, 1/2 and Skim Milk in OVC They may not have all of the choices next to the coffee but near the cereal they hae individual boxes of Whole, Skim and Almond Milk. At al Bacio Espresso $4.00 Cappuccino, Late and Americano $5.00 Americano is 2 shots espresso with hot water added
  22. You should have no problems with a 12:30 flight out of EWR. I've previously been able to make an 11:30 without even rushing.
  23. They have Virtual Safety Drills -- either direct on the App or TV. When you complete you stop by your muster station and get a short briefing or not - they scan your seapass and your done. Less than 1-2 minutes If using the App - Click the Ship Icon - Swipe Right - Choose Safety - It will show you your Assembly Station and if you click Find on Deck they show you a map of where it is. mine is A4. theater
  24. We were on a B2B on Solstice in December. We had Premium. Our first cruise was the first cruise they turned on the Starlink connection and it was a bit touch and go an lost it for a day. I think it was part of the tuning it for the passenger load. By the second cruise it was operating really well and I was getting up to 25 Meg up and down but latency was sometimes delayed. My understanding is that on cruise ships the routers take all the signals and sequence them so no one connection can hog all the bandwidth. I was good enough that I could stream YouTueTV without any buffering.
  25. While the ship arrives at 6:00 AM disembarkation usually doesn't start until 7:00 for walkoffs and then general disembarkation by luggage tags. All Tags are usually called by 8:45 with last call to get off around 9:00 Even as a Suite guest that disembark first at about 7:15 wouldn't book a flight earlier than 11:30 AM. It is possible you could get an earlier tag and might make at 10:40 flight but your nerves may be on edge and would have a blackup plan if you miss your flight with most flights going out full.
