  1. I'm with you for sure. So far I have only cancelled one cruise (as oppose to moving it) that was due to a mistake and booking the wrong week. Celebrity waived the cancellation fee on that one. Paying $100 pp to change a reservation with a NR is a bargin to me compared to the additional $1,800-UP for a Refundable - May be cheaper to buy cancellation insurance. Example of the RF fee for our 2025 cruise in a RS -
  2. Ahh. .can see what your are saying. So if you cancel 6 months out there is no cancellation fee but there is if cancelled between say 90 and 180 days. Better than Ponant, Silver Seas seems to be similar
  3. Understand you point but I've been seeing different on many of the Premium line. From my research I have not found any with 100% refund. On most they have a requirement of 20-25% Deposit and on many this is non-refundable. When looking at Oceania I was advised they have an administrative fees of $250 pp for cancellations for 90-180 days of cruise and 151-180 days for longer cruises. For their upper suites the cancellation fee jumps to $500 pp for shorter cruises and 10% of fare for longer cruises. On my upcoming Ponant Cruise there is a 25% deposit which is totally non-refundable.
  4. I'm also curious also. Normally we could buy a photo package for about $129. On our upcoming cruises in April this is listed. Even this option disappears on the April 22 Apex TA
  5. Thanks... I was pretty sure I had done that before but couldn't remember.
  6. I'm a computer nerd so find it actually easy to use the Query Function - First don't use the search and use the Query function from first line. The trick is you have to put in the ships name like below and Search then select the resulting response. Under Query Option choose show all and then enter Date Range - It will show all the schedules over multiple months but limited to 100
  7. I believe the "Enhanced Room Service Menu" was done away with in Early January. Currently except for Suites there is a $9.95 Service fee per room for Premium Breakfast items. Complimentary Continental Breakfast items are still included in your room rate.
  8. Same here. Recently on B2B's I've received both the final invoice and survey when they zeroed out the ship while we were being processed for b2B
  9. From personal experience, since I checked in last evening - Yes. I live in California and was able to be able to select my arrival chek-in time at 9:00:15 PM Pacific (Just after midnight Eastern). I went back in today and completed the Check-In scanning Passports and entering Credit Card Details.
  10. I can understand the concern. Last time we arrived in the U.K. the agent asked if I were traveling with anyone and I responded yes... my husband. He then said where is he? I simply replied he went through the UK lane and left me to wait in this long ALL OTHER. He chuckled and said welcome to the UK. Iain travels with both his EU (pre-Brexit) and U.S. Passport and just uses the EU one in Europe and U.S. one when entering the U.S.
  11. If you have a booking directly with Celebrity you should be able to cancel on-line, unless they have changed. If I recall you can select the cruise and then go to change and I believe there use to be an option to change. If not call in and wait 30 minutes. If you booked with a Travel Agent they you will have to call them to cancel.
  12. ON the website you can go to Plan My cruise and select any category e.g. drinks and it will show in top right corner next to you your initials. Under your initials you can also choose view purchase history. Refundable OBC will not show until on the ship.
  13. The slider bar gives you the option to fine tune the amount you may wish to bid on each category. The reason someone may bid for each will depend on what the bidder considers value. Bidding on multiple categories gives you a better opportunity to win one of the categories. For example you may bid the same amount for a SS as a Aqua but the odds winning the SS are probably thinner. If you would be comfortable with the price you could bid the same for both or increase the bid for the SS as you see more value to it.
  14. It is the same. They $100 pp fee was always applied to both cancellations as well as changes to the reservation. At least I was charged that for a change I made. When I changed they just applied the remainder of the deposit and I had to again pay an additional $100 pp
  15. It might be important for those booking that starting tomorrow and the the Non-Refundable terms have changed to NO FCC for a cancelled cruise. Evidently if you change ships or date you will only be penalized $100 per person but if you cancel you loose the complete deposit .
  16. Will be interesting to see if they are now using a different Room Service Menu for CS and above. I'll let you know 45 days from now. Yea. Check-In opened this morning.
  17. I definitely don't have any insider information I could hazard a guess. 1. The farther out the more people book to hold the cabin and then closer to sailing cancel or move the reservation. I know this is true of our April 22, Apex TA. For a long time it was totally sold out but the closer to final payment cabins started opening up. I haven't counted but lots of cabins are now available. 2. With the new ships, Celebrity has more E-Class ships than ever before, which might equate to more inventory.
  18. Before disparaging the OP it would be helpful to check out Apex menus on sailings more than two weeks in the future. I checked all my cruises April 15, 22 and May 14. On all these cruises for all main restaurants all that is currently posting are Kid's Menus and Vegiterian
  19. I know that they have had Heineken Draft in Luminae. I asked the bartender about it and he indicated it was a small 5 L draft canned beer with carbonation.
  20. If you look at your booking on line it will let you know when it will open for CheckIn The App will also show the checkin date. My April 15 opens for CheckIn tomorrow - Exactly 45 days out. I have seen it open a day or two earlier and a couple days later.
  21. I've always had a Premium Package. I believe you pay the full amount like bottled water. All are under the $ limits of the Classic Package but just not covered. I hope others with experience can let us all know how they handle the cost. Personally I don't care for them but others say they have them put ice in the mixer to make it more like a Iced Smoothies If you are Elite or above they also had a couple different smoothies that are included in the Free Continental Breakfast.
  22. No. The menus are usually not finalized until about 7 days to 10 days prior to your sailing. They will be updated at least by the time you set sail. Often if you select a current cruise you can get a preview of the menus.
  23. Jeannette - Enjoy reading your Live post. I was catching up and you had my adrenaline running as I read of you new adventures of driving to Detroit. Was so happy to see your posts of arrival into Florida and the pictures of your hotel room.
  24. Interesting to read your opinions. We are long term Celebrity Cruiser and will be trying Ponant for the first time on a "teaser" cruise in September. Many of the things @Host Jazzbeau brought up are the reason to test the waters and see if Ponant is for us. I'm sure the Great Lakes cruise will not be the "full" experience of some of the expedition cruises but should help us determine if it is a fit. We have really good friends who only sail Poanant and have been urging us to try them.
