  1. On my last cruise on the sign up screen it lists the Price of the one full day of Internet at $24.95. I believe this may be the discounted Zenith rate probably 35% Elite Plus as the benefits only list Free Premium for Zenith. Back in 2019 they had an undiscounted price listed at 67.00 for 24 hours continuous. Maybe others have a better idea of the current price.
  2. That is what we are accustomed to. Often we just have cheese and crusty french for lunch. Not sure if it was a supply issue on Summit. I've been reading the same on other ships. When on Silhouette TA in March-April there was a wonderful selection.
  3. On both M and S class sips the kitchens are adjacent to each other and easy for the serer to pick up items from either menu. I've never had a problem ordering off both menus. On E Class the kitchens are separated by different floors and location and thus not available.
  4. We use to go for cheese and crackers also but last month on Summit the cheese was limited to American, Cheddar, Swish and Provolone. Luckily in Retreat Lounge they had the regular selection including soft cheeses and Blue
  5. If you are interested in bidding. Just go to the link and put in reservation number and last name. If eligible you will be able to bid. Bookings via BigBox store not a participant. https://www.celebritycruises.com/bid-on-cruise-room-upgrade
  6. I just looked again and their main site is still down.
  7. I would have to agree with most of the other comments. We have traveled with friends in that were not in a Suite. We both agreed after discussion that we don't need to be joined at the hip as we both like our personal space and tastes on excursions, restaurants etc are different. We invited them to dine with us one evening in Luminae, ate dinner with them in Blu and had specialty dining together at Murano. The other nights we would agree to meet up at a certain time for a drink. To be honest I think it makes for better friends if we don't need to be doing everything together that one of us wasn't into. Example - they love the evening theater shows and we no longer go to the shows. They like to eat at 6:00 PM we don't dine until 9:00. We always have a great vacation when we travel together. Remember that if they hadn't decided to join the cruise at the last minute you would have been been dining alone.
  8. I've found the same in trying to link reservations. The only work around we found was that one of the agents were able to link my reservation to someone in a group reservation but I couldn't with a direct reservation with Celebrity. Also ran into a problem recently with two reservations I made with the same agent but one is for my SIL from the UK. I tried to make a dinner reservation and it rejected saying they were in different currencies even though I'm paying for both on the same credit card. My agent was able to get Celebrity to resolve.
  9. I can't speak to the basic internet but have used it as we;; as facetime many times using the Premium. Connectivity has generally been good if the internet was functioning. I have done the Infinity around the horn from BA to Valparaiso. Internet was pretty solid until we got near the Horn and then lost it for 12 hours. A couple other times it was spotty for periods of 30 minutes to an hour. Not sure of the causes but often while in ports - even areas with good cell service there is no internet. In some of the ports I've had to use by free T-Moible International roaming instead of the ships WiFi while in port.
  10. Been on 7 cruises since resumption of sailing and all had a magnet on the door asking you to drop your luggage and allow them to complete freshening your room. Since we always board at about 11-11:30 the rooms are usually not completed and sometimes they beds have been stripped and not made yet. I don't recall every seeing it written on the pre-cruise documents but personally choose to respect or room staff and let them get their job done without having to work around us. I do the same at home when our housekeeper comes. When we have been on B2B's they try to get our room ready while we are at the B2B processing and are invited to use our room once completed. As a courtesy we usually grab a coffee and go to Lunch at Luminae and stay out of the way of the Room attendant and Butler.
  11. I would agree that for some alcoholics especially in early sobriety that a non-alcoholic drink can be a tease. It can also help make one not feel detached from having a Sober good time. I have worked with addicts for 40 years and know 100's that choose to have something in front of them other than water and celebrate sobriety for 30+ years. I also know 100's that have relapsed never having had a non-alcholic beverage in front of them. I think it is unfair group all alcoholics into a single bucket. Their are as many types of alcoholics as their are drinkers. Literature suggest that the key to maintaining of life in recovery is self awareness and self-care. This includes recognizing signs that may lead to relapse. One tool is the use of the acronym HALT and avoid Hunger, Anger, Loneliness and Tiredness.
  12. On M-Class ships you can order off either MDR, Luminae or Children's Menu. On our last cruise on Summit they would give us both menu's each evening and we would mix and match dependent on what was on the menu and our mood. You can also order deserts off of the MDR menu as well.
  13. Yes. The free minutes are the Premium Wifi and often the free AIC the minutes are the basic wifi. Maybe One spouse could initially sign up for the Elite Plus minutes and the other the unlimited or some combination of that.
  14. Surprised to hear that which ship were you on. I've never been on a cruise that they didn't have them in the afternoon at Al Bacio. Once in awhile the also have Chocolate (ok) and Honey (which to me were yuck.
  15. Looking forward to you cruise and comparison. I understand there is quite a difference in things like dress code and enforcement of it. Will be interesting to hear about the food, service and not even going to ask about drinks as you may be doing seminars for the staff.
  16. This may help --- This is the email I was sent to to request emergencyteam@celebritycruises.com
  17. You are correct and you can use both - They will give you the option in the App when you create your Wifi LogIn. They will also have someone in the Internet shop to help but usually on the first day there are huge lines.
  18. I just checked their URL and just showing a hand with a LOVE sign. Appears the website it down.
  19. Sorry to hear. Last time I had a terrible time getting them applied this time the online form worked for me. Good luck -
  20. I used the same link as you. I found it much easier than all the printing and emailing (which I have resorted to in the past. Fax is out for me as I no longer have a land line nor a fax machine.
  21. Same for me. All of mine are booked with a TA and I received all the revised invoices direct from Celebrity. I checked a 1/2 hours later and they all had been applied and visible in my OBC on cruise planner.
  22. You have be spewing coffee over my computer screen. At least if you tested positive you wouldn't care.
  23. They do have designated Suite Checkin. I don't believe they have a separate security line but I could be wrong on that on. As a Suite or Zenith guest you can arrive anytime. I would suspect they start allowing you into the terminal at 10:45 ish but boarding will probably not begin until 11 - 11:15. Suite guests will be invited to board with the first group.
  24. As others have said it is not uncommon. I"m sure it's a combination of Port Fees and fuel efficiencies. With the fuel prices being one of their major cost components and the current prices of fuel they will do what they can to maximize profitability.
  25. I don't believe it does but you an always try a mock booking and see. Saying that they do have the logic built in for excursions that you can't book two excursions that overlap. Another option is to call in and ask or see if they can make the reservation for you without loosing your existing one.
