  1. You will definitely be stopped by security if you have your luggage with you when you try to leave the ship. Not a good recommendation at all. Let alone the potential of the whole ship being delayed in departure as they wait for a missing passenger.
  2. This is the link to the U.S. Travel Requirements. You have to drill down a couple levels https://www.celebritycruises.com/healthy-at-sea/us-travel-requirements
  3. My locked record is now accessible. Maybe they are making progress.
  4. You may want to read a couple of the recent threads. There's a really good one on Solstice with many people on or just off the ship. The OP was a bit critical but most of the reviews were very detailed on little areas they noticed wear and tear but had to look to really notice them. I would say it would be the same things we might all experience when we look at our car - She's not new and has some wear and tear but she's not a klunker. If your really want bright and shinny book Apex. Reality is all ships even that are 2-3 year will show signs of rust and they touch it up daily. I'm booked on Solstice in 6 weeks and have no qualms at all about sailing her. Recent reports have been very positive.
  5. Yes you need to get permission preferably before the cruise. They charge a fee of about $60 to process your application. The ability may be limited to which port and both U.S. and other country regulations. The PSVA Passenger Vessel Service Act have specific restriction and the cruise ship could be fined for violation. I used it to take a side trip to the Taj Majal between two ports - They process the application quickly and then send you a letter granting approval. I would suspect you would get the full CC points - at least I did while off the ship for 3 days.
  6. We have always had a bottle of Champagne in our room. Isn't that normal for a CS? We even always get a bottle in a SS (cheap bubbly)
  7. Yes.. We always ask them to swap the Bubbly for Chardonnay.
  8. I did it within the last 3 months. I explained in my previous message.
  9. Personally I don't see any advantage to making final payment early. You are just basically giving Celebrity your cash to hold onto. I would have to disagree with some comment that it restricts you on making changes. I have made a payment a week prior to final payment. The next day they dropped prices and I applied for and got a refund of the difference back to my credit card. I thought I had blown the ability to get the price match but applied for it anyway. They told me since final payment date had not yet passed I had to have my agent process the price change. I received the credit back on my CC in less than a week. I have also upgrade a cabin once final payment.
  10. Thanks... Sure sounds like Edge may be doing a Partial like your experience. When I did it they didn't enter the locks at all that's why they called it a Touch.
  11. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but I would believe that you booked an All Inclusive Package when you booked and are now after final payment date. In this scenario you can not go back and cancel the All Inclusive after final payment. If you had made this decision prior to final payment they would be willing to re-book without penalty unless you had a non-refundable fare. If they refused you could cancel for a full refund if refundable fare and possibly pay the $100 pp non-refundable deposit for making a change.
  12. How many times have we heard this before. Think how luck we are that they spend millions to develop the current "State of the Art Awarding Winning Web Site" You can only imagine the old site.
  13. The Promo Chips are different than normal chips - I know that it is at least color and possible other markings. I believe if you buy a PROMO Chip Package they deliver to you all at once when you redeem. You can play your promo chips throughout the complete cruise and do not have to use on one day or one table. If you play a Prom Chip and win the payout is made in NON-Promo Chips which are able to be cashed in for cash or gamble it away. The objective for many is to convert all their Promo Chips into Non-Promo chips first.
  14. If you are taking a Celebrity Transfer from the airport to the terminal the process is pretty much the same regardless of airport. You pick up your luggage at destination and clear customs. You walk out of the customs area. You will then see an agent holding a Celebrity Sign. You approach them and they will direct your to the porter where you surrender your bags. You should put your Celebrity Luggage Tags onto your bags before giving to porter (he will also have blank luggage Celebrity Tags). Your transfer Voucher will be included in your Travel Document but all you need to do is give your name and they will check you off and give you a sticker like an excursions. Dependent on flight arrival times they will either direct you to a bus or wait for additional arriving passengers and will call you by group numbers. I've never found it to be immediate but anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour wait. Once you drop off your bag with the porter you will not see them again until they show up at your room door. Make sure to carry prescriptions and valuables with you.
  15. I'm curious about your topic. Are you on a Canal Crossing or a Panama Canal Touch as you didn't indicate ship and date- My understanding is that a Touch does not actually enter nor traverse the canal. The Panama Canal Touch cruise I was on we ported at Calon and you could take various tours to see the canal and locks. The Panama Traverse cruises you do the the full crossing between Panama City to Calon . As for your question about timing. It is impossible to get an exact time as there are so many variables. On my crossings we were given an approximate time that we should be entering the canal but the exact time wasn't known until the Captain was given permission to enter. Even after you are in the lakes many things can happen. We were directed to sit in one area for about 2 1/2 hours because of congestion and then resumed our crossing.
  16. Usually that pops up when someone is in your reservation or you have accessed your booking used Manage Reservation. You access your reservation you are locked out for 20 minutes. I've never been locked out for multiple days. It does sound like a problem with your reservation, especially if the Celebrity Support can't assist. Curious if you have tried using the Celebrity App and can get into your reservation from there? That may be a short time work around. Sorry for your problem as I know it is frustrating. Celebrity is known to have a really bad IT team. I can't acccess their search function for a new cruise today using Firefox but working on other browsers.
  17. If you are a CC member the prices for the upgrade are discounted. You can call to have it upgraded or simply wait until you are aboard and when your create your Wifi Account one of the options is the upgrade and is already discounted. Usually the CC discount is better than any sales price they have for the internet.
  18. I will definitely second your opinion of the Pastel de Nata - Everytime I now see them it brings back memories of Lisbon.
  19. Yes... Case was a type.... I guess I left a case of wine - LOL
  20. The glass ceiling has definitely been shattered. For so many of these jobs their is absolutely no reason that a woman can not and does a better or worse jobs than a male. I was on a United Airline flight two years ago and the Captain announced that this was a unique flight for her. The entire flight crew was 100% female. The whole plane erupted in applause.
  21. You have to go to https://www.gov.bm/cruise-travel-authorisation start 30 days prior to departure and obtain a BERMUDA TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION. UnVaxed non-bermuda passengers must still upload a copy of their Medical Insurance. I've not done is since they dropped testing but would believe they ask you about Vax status and possibly copy of your Vax Certificate.
  22. I also read recently that recently have also discontinued afternoon tea in OVC with the finger sandwiches, scones and sweets. I however can not personally confirm as we went to Retreat instead.
  23. This brochure (pdf) may help set your expectations. - https://www.celebritycruises.com/content/dam/celebrity/pdf/Celebrity-Cruises-Beverage-Packages.pdf
  24. Yes you can quickly cancel it by going into CruisePlanner and Click Top Right Initial's and look Select Order History. From the list find you Drink Package Order an select - Details. From there just choose Cancel. It will be refunded to your Original form of payment (or credit) if before about 5 days prior to cruise. If you cancel after the deadline or the on the ship it will be refunded to either you NR OBC or as a Refundable if charged to a credit card.
  25. In addition to the perks you listed plus the OBC there are perks that come with the room. Bar setup with 2 Premium Liters of Booze you choose, Unlimited Specialty (which includes gratuities) and Free laundry and dry cleaning. I know for a fact about the tipping in specialty as I asked for a blank bill so I could leave a tip and the Matre' d let me know that tips were included, but if I left additional on the room key it goes to the complete ships dining room pool. Additional tips left in case are added to the Specialty Pool only.
