  1. I've never used them but from what they say it would be acceptable. To my knowledge celebrity's only requirement is it must be from a certified lab which they claim to be. Looking at their site it shows they also do on-site testing. The requirements of the airlines and cruise line are require a proctored test which they seem to provide. Would be good to call them and ask.
  2. Jelayne has great suggestions. I did a Navica test aboard using my cell phone data on T-Mobile from Southampton and had no problems at all. I also did one using the Premium Internet and had good connectivity. I was able to complete both tests and there really wasn't much technology involved. The challenge is that you have to be able to place your test in a place after your swab that is visible on the camera for 15 minutes. I used a laptop so was pretty easy to adjust the cover of the laptop down to a place on the table in front of the keyboard. If you let others know where you will be flying home with you they could give you advise on local testing if you choose to go that route.
  3. Not sure if they have changed the requirements that a ship has to be revolutionized to be on the app, but Yes it is on the App not sure how functional it is as it doesn't show any activities for the 5/22 cruise nor are the menu's loaded. Maybe they just have it open for check-in
  4. Not sure if you received but they usually lave a long narrow paper in your room that explains all the Elite and above benefits and time of special elite and above events. It is easy to miss as many just think it's another advertisement.
  5. Curious - are you saying your were tested for a B2B or they did not require it?
  6. The surcharge is if you want same day service. I personally don't think it's sneaky, it clearly says same day service. Then normal service is Next Day or Second Day return when they are busy.
  7. You can come back and upload later or just show up at the port and present her Vax Card.
  8. Curious??? When was you cruise. I was tested on B2B on Silhouette on 4/29 and tested positive thus tossed off the ship in Southampton.
  9. The schedule prior to Covid was in November but last year they released them in October. They usually don't announce them very far in advance of release.
  10. Blush --- we have 15 booked currently. Albeit some are far out into the future. Furthest out is Hawaii Cruise for April 2024. Sometimes you have to book far out to get the room you want on a popular cruise.
  11. Good advise with the exception that they have 15 menus and usually start with day 1 regardless of length of cruise. If interested you can download the full stock menus at: https://www.celebritycruisespresscenter.com/download-press-kit-item/63/
  12. I tested positive on Celebrity on April 29th and Celebrity didn't notify anyone and told me that since were in UK where they have all been eliminated all covid restrictions I didn't need to do anything except isolate at my discretion. We also tested with Navica and both failed. Within minutes we received a text and e-mail from our home health department in California asking us to isolate and fill out a close contact questionnaire. Thought it was rather stupid as we weren't even in the United States but complied.
  13. Just checked and everything is working for me. All of my cruises are listed but on first attempt would only show the first 5 until I did a refresh. As other's suggested it has been a common issue on weekends when they are doing web maintenance.
  14. To be honest I never even noticed that they had gone away. I'm sure many enjoyed them but I felt they were just a vehicle to steer passengers to stores that had paid a fee to be listed.
  15. Jeanne, So sorry to hear of Don's passing. He has been a very active member of CC for many years and and his absence will be missed. He was always so upbeat and knowledgeable. Condolences to you and your family.
  16. I guess it would have to do with the drinks on the the CC Happy Hour are a small list of NON-Premium drinks. Supposition is that if it is on a Premium Package it would not be included
  17. It is listed as a zero proof drink on both the Premium Non-Alcoholic and Premium Packages.
  18. Not sure when you changed cabins but it usually takes a day or two for the tags to be updated. Regardless - I got a Comped upgrade the night before a cruise and the ship was already closed I just Scratched out the number and wrote the new one on it. The agent said no problem and my bag arrived like normal. The baggage handlers also have blank tags and will put your cabin number on one.
  19. If you upgrade your cabin without bidding you will only pay the diffrence. They just tack it on to the top
  20. I had the same issue. I was changed to a different flight with a long lay over. AA kept the same flight time as my original booking but gave it a different flight number. (shell game). I called and they rebootedsf me on my original flight time with no additional costs.
  21. While not CWC - Celebrity did update their policy on sailing from Europe until November 30 to allow you to stay aboard instead of having to quarantine in a port. Personally I preferred quarantining in a nice AirBnB in UK instead of isolation on the ship.
  22. Have to agree. We recently (past 2 years) began arriving a day early and have really enjoyed the extension to our vacation. FBC does guarantee to get you to the port but don't tell you they may not be able to get you to the port on time. I had that problem on a missed flight and my ticked was restricted on AA only . I had to eventually buy a new ticket.
  23. Curious as to which Medial/Evacuation coverage you have. My policies are up for renewal. I've been using MediJet and GeoBlue for Medical. By the way -- make sure you get Global Entry which they pay for. When we arrived San Francisco the had a lane for Diplomats and Global Entry took less than 5 minutes to clear.
  24. I have to say it is nice being home but always up for an adventure. We have friends coming from Australia for a visit next week so guess we have to stick around. Incredible how fast the new cruises are coming on. I've made final payment on two of them and just got a good reduction on the third before final payment Only 76 days before we fly to the East Coast -
  25. If Elite or above you will also get 1-2 bags each wash and fold for free. Additionally they usually offer a bag at $49 (20 items) around mid cruise. Laundry Prices
