  1. Chill Island, by the rocks on the way out to the shipwreck is where my wife saw the shark last month. Then continue out to the shipwreck if you want. She saw stingrays and fish there. There are lifeguards and staff members to ask who will be happy to direct you.
  2. Go to your set sail pass in the app and you should see "add to your apple wallet." You can actually then just hit preview to see the numbers if you don't want to actually add it.
  3. And of course factor in the enjoyment of the short cruise itself. You're not just buying points when you do this; you do get to go on an extra cruise. 😁
  4. Correct. Go for the shorty to get to Diamond!
  5. We did the same thing while sitting on 76 points. Took the cheapest 4-nighter we could find. Now we're 25 points away from D+ and have 14 pts coming next June so we've been trying to find a way to get 11 nights in between now and then even though we generally can only cruise in the summers. It's not as big of a jump as Emerald to Diamond, of course, but it has perks we're looking forward to and who doesn't get impatient when you're close to the next level?
  6. I've booked many GTY's. It can be any time, but there's a trick to finding out your assignment early that usually works. Method 1. If you have an apple device, add your set sail pass to your apple wallet. Numbers will now appear under your bar code. The numbers after the dash represent your cabin. Method 2. Scan the bar code with a QR scanner from another device and that should also show you the numbers. Hope this helps.
  7. When she goes snorkeling I'm usually under an umbrella having my first frozen drink of the day, lol, so I can't vouch for either shark. She said they looked very different from each other and googled what sharks can be found in the Bahamas. And on that note, I'll go back to trying to convince her to take a few days off work next month so we can hop back on Indy for my birthday! 🤣
  8. Yeah, seems to be a pretty common siting. My wife concluded it was a nurse shark. We were also there in late May in an OTW cabana and our attendant told us in advance that lemon sharks are often in that area... sure enough my wife saw one of those that day.
  9. There's a map in the app and I have no idea how you didn't find the pool there... it's the largest pool in the Caribbean! Sorry you had a bad time. We went on an Indy B2B just before your cruise and getting to go to Cococay twice was one of the reasons. We absolutely love it there! Wife goes snorkeling on Chill Island 1st thing and has never complained about the beach. She even saw a shark and a mommy/baby sting ray last month. Then we spend the rest of the day by the pool using our diamond vouchers for drinks and making numerous food runs as we absolutely love the included food there.
  10. Ours were expired based on the date in the box but not when the 3 months were added. No issues.
  11. 1. You can definitely use hers. 2. She can get unlimited free lattes in the DL unless the machine there isn’t to her liking.
  12. Just did my 1st B2B a couple weeks ago (also a 3 & 4-nighter) out of PC. 1) You will not have to test. 2) You can check with guest services to make sure but the system should automatically know you are consecutive cruisers. You will receive instructions in your cabin as far as what to do on TAD. 3) No need to pack. Just make sure your cabin attendant knows you’re on a B2B. You may or may not need to briefly disembark; it varies by port. FWIW, we met in a lounge at 8:45am, hung out for a bit, a crew member went around to check everyone in for the 2nd leg & give out new sea passes, we disembarked for maybe 15 mins, then returned to the ship & were free to roam. 24 people on a Freedom class ship was somewhere between cool & spooky, lol.
  13. Yes, those will cost significantly more unless you fudge with your insurance or RC changes their current requirements.
  14. And you can hear from hundreds of people here that you can use a free government test and get it proctored for $15-20 online.
  15. You only get 4 drinks per day as Diamond. That said, I can't imagine buying a drink package with the D vouchers plus 3-hour open bar happy hour in the suite lounge (plus 11-11 beer, wine, hard seltzer, soda, bottled water if Oasis-class).
  16. No, the swab barely enters your nostril, 5 seconds each one, done.
  17. The most recent one because my generous in-laws got us all suites and an OTW cabana on Cococay. 🤣 Joking aside, I think this will be hard to answer not knowing more details. How big is big? Will you all actually do an excursion together making the ports matter? Is one port more convenient than another?
  18. Had it for the first time last month and loved it as well. I usually ask if they can make me the fried calamari app from the lunch menu (sometimes yes, sometimes no). Blessing in disguise that they said no this time.
  19. Yes, they are accepted. They are a rapid form of PCR test. It says so on the RC website, no need to call. Walgreens offers them and they have been used thousands of times.
  20. Giovanni's Table has always been our favorite although we don't do much specialty dining. Just had dinner there on Indy recently and it was excellent as always. Wife and I both love their filet and I'm a big fan of the carbonara. Yes, generally cheaper to book ahead of time.
  21. This is exactly how we treat our GTY's. I was recently fine with my assignment but one in a location I really liked was available so we switched.
  22. Immediately. I don't mind helping, but you can contact them via live chat and they will answer all your questions. I had a very good experience with their customer service that way.
  23. Not that I've seen. Someone may have compiled their own list though.
