We have done a similar trip in the past and found the weather to be quite benign. I know nothing of South Carolina weather but here on Guernsey late September and early October are a fantastic time of year. It’s never too hot and frequently warm well into late evening. Having recently disembarked Splendor I can confirm that the pool grill has radiant heaters which seem to be always on. Enjoy your trip.

Liptastic, all our bags are packed and we’re ready to go and REALLY looking forward to this cruise. I’m so pleased that you loved our little island. John

I have had three birthdays on Regent and each time our suite has been decorated and birthday cake provided as well as champagne. As always a Regent surprise. They already have your details.

We have sailed five times on Mariner and five times on Voyager. They are both very comfortable ships and we would always go back to them. We have a cruise booked on Splendor towards the end of this month and are looking forward to seeing what she is like. It will be interesting to see how much extra space there is.

We like the Voyager, she is a beautiful ship that looks right and sails very well. We have had aft(ish) suites and not noticed much vibration. Virtually all ships must vibrate at some time with bow thrusters and pods on the stern. We have not sailed since Covid began but will be in a couple of weeks or so on Splendor, always happy to fail on Voyager.

wcsdkqh - not even humans? That’ll lead to an empty ship.

Just Received Our Cruise Documents
Guerncruising replied to WLVTRVLR's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Just heard a thump from the letter box. Envelope from Regent containing luggage tags and a letter of explanation on how to proceed to get the rest of the documents for our “Royal Lands” cruise at the end of May on Splendor. A shame about the wallet but got enough of them from past cruises so not too fussed. Just looking forward to the cruise. -
St Peter Port (Guernsey) - Pepper Port Ramble ??
Guerncruising replied to pappy1022's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Having carried out a bit of research it is the Cows Horn steps near St Peter Port that are out of use. Google it and there is an article in the Guernsey Press but it does not look like good news I’m afraid. Having said that I believe that there will be a workaround which may involve a little bit of back tracking but not insurmountable. Enjoy the trip. -
St Peter Port (Guernsey) - Pepper Port Ramble ??
Guerncruising replied to pappy1022's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
I think that the section of steps you are talking about are the ones going down to Soldiers Bay. They have been out of use some while now due to land slip and I’m not sure when they will reopen. As far as the cliff walk from the Pepperpot at Fermain to St Peter Port I believe that’s still open, even if not plenty of detours are available. A great walk looking out to Sark and Herm and on my birthday too! -
For half a day I agree with the Got2Cruise. It will be the best way to get a true feel and the street artists in Las Ramblas are brilliant.

Motion sickness medications thoughts and insights

Stugeron is often supplied in the life rafts used by yachtsmen and I guess must be effective but never had to use it in extremis. -
What Currencies are Needed on a British Isle Cruise
Guerncruising replied to pappy1022's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
As mrlevin has said, we accept GBP but change is likely to be given in Guernsey notes and coins. It is perfectly acceptable to ask for your change to be given in GBP but that depends on the establishment that you are at having any. The odd Guernsey pound note can obviously be taken home as a souvenir. -
Navigator 2022-23 Holiday Cruise Round Trip Miami
Guerncruising replied to cwn's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Lobster, sea bass. Chacun à son goût. Quite simply. Can’t wait to try both again in May. -
I would concur with GOARMY. We visited Casablanca and Hassan II Mosque several years ago, did not feel in the least bit harassed but did stay with the guide. The bus drove through the “poor” district and through the “wealthy” district, as well as past Rick’s Place (allegedly). All in all an excellent trip. The port was very industrial though.

Monte Carlo - Nice Question
Guerncruising replied to howiefrommd's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
To be honest you could spend time in Monte Carlo in the Japanese gardens and just seeing all that there is to do there. Walk up to the old town for lunch rather than eat too close to the marina where it can be very expensive. Catch the train or bus from Nice to Monte Carlo because it’s a reasonable price. -
Only ever done it by cab or minibus but there is a bus stop right outside the airport and a bus which takes you to Monte Carlo. I believe that it stops along the harbour front and from there it’s just a short stroll along the quay to the ship (if it’s docked!). You can pat Fangio on the head as you walk by.

@Gilly It’s always a good idea to try another one to see if it’s as good as the first one.

But don’t they look wonderful? They say “eat me”.

Isn’t it Greenland in the fog at night? I’ve seen similar. -
How to Opt Out of Regent Brochures/Mailings?...
Guerncruising replied to rkaratsu's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Same for us and I have wondered if it’s because we moved but now you’ve confirmed it. I suppose with restricted numbers there is no need to advertise or promote. Oh, and yes I’ve requested too. -

I’m glad the weather improved quickly in the morning and that you enjoyed Guernsey. There’s so much to see on such a small place. Enjoy the last few days of your cruise. John
