  1. in 2025? Nobody can tell this far in advance, but we always sail the Caribbean itineraries the first week of April (school holiday), and we've never had bad weather. With the climate changes - who knows what it's going to be like in 2 years.
  2. Liberty Passenger Capacity 3,634 Freedom Passenger Capacity 4,375 Perhaps, not quite 9K people. we were there with Indy and Harmony - we found a nice spot for 5 people, and we didn't even get off the ship anywhere near "right away", and we first went to chill island for a bit, and then moved to breezy bay.
  3. I eat at least 2 goat cheese souffle appetizers as appetizers. No waste here. I even lick the plate. Oh, and I always regret ordering only two. Since we sail on Princess once a year at the most, and they don't even have this souffle on all of their sailings, I just don't get enough of this dish!
  4. well, yeah, if you order 2 drinks for the same person on the same medallion....
  5. sometimes this strategy doesn't work with 3 yo kids. heck, mine is 12 and is still not adventurous with food, so the adult menu is mostly wasted on him. does she drink milk? I believe the buffets have Minute Maid drink machines with "orange juice" and some other fruit flavored stuff.
  6. and this one was simply epic! watch the video. It'll speak for itself. 🙂
  7. Caribbean Princess was old back in 2016 when we sailed on her. We wouldn't be sailing on an old ship ever again. But if you choose to sail on an old ship, you should be prepared for her age to show in unfavorable way. We just had the most wonderful cruise on Enchanted 3 months ago. The medallion worked, ordering worked, food was great, MDR service was slow, shows were new and good, etc.
  8. it was a glitch, not a subsidy. Our non-glitchy prices are just as high.
  9. are you sure? I didn't even receive an email for my April 2 oasis cruise when they opened for booking, but most shows kept flickering in and out of existence for 2 days. I finally made all the reservations 2 days after they opened 29 days out. None of them were sold out "hours after they opened".
  10. plated. I believe on the Allure Solarium Bistro turns into Samba Grill ($$) for dinner. Solarium Bistro dinner menu: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/resources/menus/solarium-bistro-menu-sample.pdf
  11. they now provide free umbrellas - look at the photo link I posted
  12. I think the menu is self explanatory.... plain vs. fancy.
  13. it does NOT include bottled or canned water.
  14. we wipe the cabin down after boarding with lysol wipes, but we are fine with using the same towels all day and then some.
  15. I doubt they have an Aqua show, because they don't have an aqua theater. Yes, there will be kids. Other states' schools go back in September. only some ships (Oasis and newer) allow advance show reservations. Navigator will definitely be even older than Oasis. Heck, even Allure was kind of showing her age last year. You may want to bring some dramamine with you, since it appears you do have seasickness worse than an average person.
  16. you can always tell the cabin attendant that when you board
  17. Freebies on Nellie's beach were great: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2857694-a-few-post-cruise-thoughts-about-may-2022-allure-southern-caribbean-sailing/#comment-63351693
  18. not that I know of. We liked the Breezy bay part a lot more than Chill Island (not the bed, mind you, just the beach area). Chill island part is where most people head first off of the ship and it's very crowded. Breezy Bay part of the Chill Island: The beach beds were from this point and to the right. I don't even remember seeing beach beds in the Chill Island part: here is the view to the right: could the beach beds be over there in the background? you can see something in front of the ship. middle and left part of the Chill island:
  19. pretty nice glitch then. OP is on Harmony, we are on the Oasis. Neither can access the entertainment bookings.
  20. it really depends on the cruise. We are 30 days away, and no - they are not open on our cruise yet.
  21. we happen to be middle aged with an 11 yo child... We are not going to leave him behind and we enjoy cruising with him. He's been cruising on Princess since he was 4 and will continue cruising...
