Has anyone been successful recently applying for obc via Hargreaves Landsdowne recently. I emailed them as usual and had confirmation on the 8th January that they were applying to P and O but haven’t heard any more.

Are they still offering extra obc as well as 10% discount? That’s what they were offering in September so just wondering 🤔

Thanks - it seems that the Caribbean has experienced more rain than usual this season too. In fact I spoke with a friend this morning just back from a round Australia cruise and stay and she said the weather there had not always been what is expected either.

Selbourne - thoroughly enjoying this thread but am becoming a bit apprehensive about the Iona 35 nighter I’ve booked on for next January as you seem to have now had a fortnight without any really hot and sunny weather. 🤔

Thanks everybody. I must confess it is a bit of a trial run as I have already booked the 35 nighter on Iona next January so if Arvia is a disaster I can cancel Iona. Well, that’s my excuse 😀

Another “what have I done” post. Yesterday I put on my big girl pants and booked 14 days on Arvia solo! Am I crazy 🤪

I have been solo on Azura 3 times in the past couple of years and am back again in February. There are solo meetings at 9.30am on sea days in the Glasshouse and every day at around 6 and 7.30pm before dinner in one of the bars (it was Sindhu last time) if you want a table companion. if you are on a fixed dining table I think you are usually seated with other solo passengers. There have always been quite a number of solos on the cruises I’ve been on and it is very easy to meet people if you want to. I’m not quite sure what the previous post is referring to but ear plugs were not required any time I’ve sailed.

Just looked at this for the first time today. I cannot believe you are on page 3 already and haven’t even boarded yet! This just goes to show how eager we are to hear of your adventures and how much we value your honest and balanced reporting. Look forward to reading all about it.
