As will be boarding next week, curious if anyone recently/currently on can share who the butler(s) are? Just wondering if it will be anyone we have had before. Thanks.
Thank you for this website. Very helpful information and photos. As soon to be first time O cruisers in 2025 on Vista this has us anticipating the experience.
We noticed that when we were on last Dec but our Sky Suite was in the worse state of condition than any that we have experienced over the years of cruising, so I trust that was addressed with the recent refurb.
Agree, and some Pinnacles as we've cruised with them a number of times. I guess it comes down to people are people, some friendly and some not so much.
Our experience here in SE Texas has been that they mostly serve it deconstructed. I'm not sure why, and I should ask at our regular places, unless it's so you can see the actual ingredients and let the customer choose how to cut it how they like it (just speculation).
From reports on CC, appears they handled up to 22 suites. Not sure if that is across all butlers regardless of suite category. We're on in 2 weeks so will try to find out...unless we're having way too much fun which will probably be the case!
We're the same, Elite plus. Certainly not bailing on X but curious about other lines such as Oceania. Have checked Regent Seven Seas and Silver seas but not finding the price comparisons to meet our needs, yet.
Agree so our expectation was tempered but it wasn't much above Lumaine on the night we went. I will say the wine pairing was good as was the sommelier.
One cruiser opinion but.....have only done Chefs Table once and having dined at a number of Daniel Boulud's restaurants in the past (loved them all) we were disappointed. We did not find it to the level we've previously experienced in food, ambience, or service. At this point, we would not do again.
Thanks for this. I was trying to place exactly where the suite is located below OVC in that area. We actually just put in a move up bid to a Celebrity suite but I'm not holding out much hope.
Thanks for all the experiences. We are in 2129 and DW thinks we are under a carpeted area of OVC, anyone with experience with that specific cabin or can confirm if above that area is carpeted?
24 nights on a southern Caribbean and TA to Spain B2B. Loved it and didn't think it was to long for us. We are contemplating 31 nights on Oceania but holding booking until we experience that line for the first time in Jan/Feb 2025.
Appreciate the balanced review as were on a Scandinavia/Norwegian fjords B2B next May/June for the first time so this is helpful. Have been on Apex before and, so far, is one of our favorite X E-ships and find the lack of effort for trivia disappointing to hear as we, too, enjoy that activity. Hopefully, the entertainment director will fix that going forward.
