  4. Bit of a rick and roll trip to madeira yesterday. Sunny here but a lot of cloud around 22c. Ran out of draught peroni last night only fosters or bottles. Not impressed.
  5. The shipis 9 hours late getting away from tenerife due to waitung for flights delayed from manchestet because of snow. Great atmosphere in the bar last night until england lost. Weather a bit mixed. Food and service has been nice. Its 8am and im on a sunbed in 18c of cloudy sky. Still pleasant.
  6. Good to know its not just me that feels let down by these so called leading insurers.
  7. I have a real issue with Staysure at the moment and their stance on ALL IN or ALL Out if you are waiting for tests to be done on some inocuous issue they will NOT cover any existing medical conditions. You cannot even agree to opt out of cover for your awaited tests its all in or all out if you are awaiting tests. The current insurance underwriting system stinks and smacks of we will find a way to trip you up and not pay out on a claim. Totally ridiculous, they just want to take your money and not accept any risk.
  8. This is what you need some selling for 99p https://*****.com/5fkjrcn9

  12. They are lucky the post got here before 29th November the way things are going with postal strikes. I could not see any FROM date on the flyer so not sure why you would think Tues or Weds.
  13. To me it looks like they have increaded the prices when you compare to balcony cabin cost. I think it is a bit of a con and the QR code just comes back with page not available. Seems like a waste of postage cost and everbodys time.
  14. Hi Guys, i got a flyer through the door this morning from P&O saying save upto 30% with our Black Friday offers . Then in the small print it says it applies to the lowest grade of inside cabin on selected departures between 3rd March and 23rd Nov 23 . Book by 29th November 22. Then it states 30% discount based on the following cruises J303,N326,G306 and B309. Am i missing something here because i cannot see any price reductions or do you think P&O have not got their act together and adjusted the prices yet. Even the QR code on the flyer did not work. Any thoughts or ideas.
  15. This is a long shot but have you got legal cover on your house insurance. If so you can ring them for free legal advice and they may take your case up if your travel insurance company wont help. Also i wonder if the credit card company would have any liability under the section 75 regs. Might be worth exploring these routes or the media option as mentioned above. You have tried to do the right thing by not passing on a pandemic infection and it seems very unfair you are penalised this way. At the end of the day any contract has to be seen as fair and something has gone seriously wrong here. It is just a case of finding the correct route for a suitable remedy.
  16. If you are flying out to Azura from Gatwick we may be on your flight going back. Fingers crossed for both of us.
  17. Good luck Watson hope you get the right level of cover. My son had a house policy with hastings direct and had to put in a claim for water damage due to a broken plumbing pipe in the wall . The claim was for around 12k the company would only pay 4k when he tried to look at suing the underwriters they were based in Malta and would have to be processed through a maltese court. Then at renewal time they refused to insure his property which then means when you move insurance companies you have to declare you have been refused insurance and his policy increased 3 fold even though he had protected no claims. you can make your own judgement on that scenario.
  18. With the PCS union balloting members and them being in favour of strike action this could cause travel chaos over christmas and the new year particularly for fly cruises . With border force being involved the already long queues at airports will be rediculous and may even mean holidays may be cancelled or in my case i might be able to get to the ship on 9th December but not back on the 23rd. Oh well lets hope P&O will let us stay on the ship if this does occur or take us back tou southampton by ship. Hey Ho if the covid doesnt screw things up then politics and strikes will. https://www.thenationalnews.com/world/uk-news/2022/11/18/strike-at-uk-airports-and-borders-threatens-christmas-travel/
  19. My understanding is that you still have to notify your insurance company even if it is after you have paid your premium of any changes or additions to your medical conditions. If you see the response from Staysure above they may still decide to give you cover OR they may adopt the ALL OUT policy meaning that you will be covered but not for any existing conditions or tests awaited. You will need to read your policy carefully and contact the relevant insurance company. This is just my interpretation based on my recent experience but it is a bloody nightmare.
  20. I think more people may be taking cruises next year if the cost of land based hols dont come down. For example we went to Zante for 10 days beginning of october with tui and it was £375 each half board. Next year it is £800 plus and they say inflation is at 11% yeah right and that is if you can negotiate through the insurance minefield.
  21. Staysure response to our complaint. There are times when a traveller is awaiting a procedure, no matter how minor, where our underwriters have taken the decision to exclude all pre-existing medical conditions. This is due to the fact that they are unable to determine how the current medical circumstance with your condition is, or will be, affecting your other declared pre-existing conditions. It also means they are unable to determine the level of cover that would be required on your travel insurance policy in relation to this condition.Another reason is that when a traveller is awaiting a procedure, wait times can increase or decrease and our travel insurance policies are unable to cover for potential cancellation due the procedure date being moved forward and overlapping with your holiday plans. As all of these medical circumstances can affect the cover on your policy, our underwriters take an 'all in' or 'all out' approach in order to ensure that our customers fully understand what is and is not covered on their travel insurance. We do understand it is frustrating, especially if you feel that the procedure you are awaiting is a minor one. We will ensure that your feedback is passed onto the relevant team to review for future improvements. We also hope that you will consider us for your travel insurance in the future once your medical circumstances have changed.Kind Regards,
