  1. Yes choice for me is the key, which by the sounds of it is a good thing. Having had a chat with the on board sales staff they tell me a change to benefits in general is imminent. (That probably means this decade!). So the guest will get to choose the benefit they receive rather than being told what they are getting. I’m guessing you’d choose between wifi or soft drinks package or discounts maybe? Doesn’t sound like the complete overhaul I was hoping for but can’t be any worse.
  2. https://www.cunard.com/content/dam/cunard/marketing-assets/pdf/booking-condition-pdf/cunard-booking-conditions-december-2023.pdf Terms here, may differ by country, page 10 is what you’re looking for.
  3. Really enjoyed my evening pizza on QE last week. Only downside was the amount of ingredients crossed out on the order slips.
  4. Strange way of referring to that benefit! To be honest think I’d rather have the on board spend anyway!
  5. What is the diamond lunch? Is this the lunch at verandah/alternative dining or something different?
  6. Much better than when we were on board from Barcelona to Singapore at the end of last year.
  7. Completely agree with @sfred. The team in PG were superb. Stanley, I think has to take a lot of credit for this, I’m sure not long before he dons the grey tie of senior maitre D’. You must have been very close to us as we had Nell and Alma occasionally serve us but Alvin and Khosi were our main ones, also brilliant. The only con I found was the housekeeping team that seem obsessed with keeping hold of “their” glasses from the room and were desperate not to replace them if we dared to take them out for a drink and leave them in a different location!
  8. Her arrival this morning..

    3 Queens

So probably one for @bluemarble or another aficionado. Is this the closest the 3 Queens have been to each other in sometime?? All in the same country’s water’s albeit a very big country!
  10. They are offered on QE too BUT top tip from receptionist, book on the first as they often get cancelled. I can attest to this as mine has now been cancelled three times and now won’t happen at all! Have no idea whether they just didn’t get enough interest but getting vague “operational reasons” and “unforeseen circumstances” as reasons is a bit pathetic. Just be honest!
  11. Am I looking at this wrong or is it another Cunard IT problem? QM2 world cruise in PG on Cunard £53,999pp Introductory offer £6,000pp saving applied Then on all the TA websites it’s massively cheaper. I know they are often a bit cheaper but this much…. £32,849.10 pp£31,209 pp What am I doing wrong?!
  12. Lovely thank you, so nice we’re staying on for another 2 weeks! See you at the shuffleboard court😊
  13. According to staff on board it’s the 19th.
  14. Well you may face the wrath of housekeeping! We always do this but for some reason on this cruise it has become a problem when we take “housekeeping” room glasses out into the “F&B” areas!
  15. Can anyone guess where she is today?! Hopefully these will be of assistance to Cunard as the boarding passes currently say TBC for embarkation terminal!
  16. Boarding tomorrow and had email today stating that it was on board and they are stepping up their “already robust disinfection measures”.
  17. Has anyone been on board QE recently? We were on in November and there were quite a few machines out of service which meant it was quite tough to get a machine. Possibly exacerbated by the length of the voyage.
  18. I know it is (sort of) discretionary but surprised they can change this after you’ve made a booking in anticipation of the previous level of charges?
  19. Cunard are obviously looking after our US friends. If that’s US dollars? That equates to roughly £9000 for P1 where as it’s £11000 on the UK site!
  20. I would say probably not unless you get very lucky with the weather. There are some sheltered spots but nothing inside. Drinks wise there are only water and juices but the staff up there will get you drinks from the bar (at your expense!). It is quite open so even if it’s sunny if there is any wind it can rip through. Maybe wait until on board and check it out?
  21. Unfortunately the Houthi pirates are using air and sea based drones, missiles and helicopters so not much chance of outrunning those!
  22. Can’t say I’ve ever noticed them🤣
  23. Often on Azura canaries cruises the security is carried out by the port authority so they won’t stop you taking alcohol on board. Enjoy the sun!
  24. Disagree with you here, if there are restrictions on all the “extra” venues then this of course puts more pressure on the included venues. The buffet is absolutely rammed.
