  1. This is absolutely the obvious and sensible thing to do so therefore no chance!
  2. I’m sure it’s been said before but the most annoying thing we find about the drinks packages (soft drinks included) is that both guests have to have it. Mrs Wonky will drink a maximum of one glass a day whereas, although not a big drinker, when totting up all the soft drinks during the day plus alcohol in the evening, I would get decent value.
  3. In my experience it’s not been HL that have been the problem. When one wasn’t applied I spent a few days and quite a few emails. Ended up getting HL to forward me the email they had sent to Carnival. Then showed this to Cunard and suddenly they “found it”.
  4. Last year we did a back to back PG then QG and the thing we were most disappointed about was the space between quite a few of the 2 tables in QG. Bizarrely, much closer than in PG (about 6inches!) so not really a table for 2. We asked the maitre D for a more private table and were fortunate enough to get one.

  9. That appears to be the new post covid rule. All out of rooms by 0800. Main restaurant finish brekky at 0830.
  10. Not directly but most of the protocols would have come from the parent company (US) and the CLIA (US).
  11. 2 days before disembarking from Ventura there was a note in Horizon that you could request a specific time. Not noticed that before, thought it was a good improvement. For information the last time was 0915-0930.
  12. And yes thank you we were incredibly lucky with the weather, no covid and no red dots observed either!
  13. I guess we are now in a position where the customers have to take their own responsibility. There are no rules that you cannot wear a mask. In fact I’m surprised mask wearing carried on for this long (although I suspect the CDC had a great deal to do with it). Buses and trains haven’t required them for some time and they are much more confined spaces.
  14. True, but they will not know when you leave the EU. I wonder how many days they will have you down as? More importantly how do you prove it!
  15. Booked on this cruise next year and wondering if anyone is on it this year? I’m interested to know what happens with passports. Assuming there are no passport checks after arriving in Barcelona how do you prove you have left the EU? Asking as concerned about the 90 in 180 day rule.
  16. I’m on the Barcelona to Singapore QE next October so will have to ask or beg for a stamp before I leave the EU I guess otherwise they will think I’ve stayed??

  18. I possibly missed this elsewhere but a couple of days ago protocol changed for staff on board. No longer mandatory but still can if they want to. Don’t know if this is worldwide but we are on Ventura. Always a surprise when someone you see everyday has a moustache that you weren’t expecting 🤣
  19. Yep, we got one too for Ventura in October, only £100 though, maybe because we’ve already paid up or maybe because it’s only 10 days. I was thinking the same, probably to stop cancellations. It mentions if you cancel or change you lose it at least 3 times in the email.

  22. Hello all, considering taking a wine package on Ventura this autumn. How does it work, do you have to have the wine in the dining room, they deliver it and you take to where you want to drink it or does someone look after it and deliver it where you want it? Many thanks in advance.
