  1. The honey stung chicken was the way I would start every cruise. It was so good.
  2. Thank you for your review, I enjoyed reading your comments coming from a first-time cruiser. Each line has its pros and cons, but I do enjoy the Celebrity ships. Definitely try other lines to see which one fits best. I have sailed Royal Caribbean, NCL, and Carnival. FYI, if you have a concierge class cabin again, you can request a fruit or cheese plate instead of the daily canapés.
  3. I found out about 48 hours before sail date.
  4. This is on the Edge, but the set up will be the same. The first one is the 1/2 cabana, the second one if the full cabana. On the Beyond, the cabanas face the pool, on the Edge, they face away from the pool.
  5. You choose one item from each course. The crab cake was the best I have ever had. There are seven courses and dinner takes about 2.5 hours. So much food...
  6. For Eden definitely do the tasting menu. It is the same price as long as you do not do the wine paring. The food was outstanding. I was not fond of the choices on the second section so they allowed me one substitution. I thought they would be smaller portions but they were not. For the Rooftop Grill, the steak was fantastic.
  7. Pizza on the Edge last month was outstanding. Probably the best on any ship so far.
  8. Left side= port It doesn't matter which side of the ship you're on when it goes up to the glacier. It does a 360 so everyone gets to see it.
  9. I have gone on the 4- and 5-day cruises. Charleston is my home port. I have not had a bad cruise on the Sunshine. I am a mega ship fan, but there are times when you need a quick getaway. I like the Sunshine and will be sad when they close the port.
  10. I was in 5208 and it was the best cabin. I loved the layout, and it was so close to everything. I never heard a peep from the Havana bar.
  11. Please don't book a solo and try to add another person later. If the lifeboat is at capacity, you may not be able to add another person to the room, even if it is a two-person room. If you book the second person TBD, you can always remove them. When I book a TBD, I do not prepay gratuities until I know if a second person is cruising or not because you will pay for two.
  12. Lol, now I like that name 🙂
  13. Absolutely, I had the tasting menu without the wine pairing earlier this month. There is no additional charge for the tasting menu, but there is if you add the wine pairing. I would have thought that the portions would be smaller too, but they were not. I had to roll myself up the stairs and flop into a chair for a bit. That was a lot of food. I also was not fond of the choices on course #2, my waiter allowed me to substitute something from course #4. The whole meal was just outstanding. I asked for a table facing the kitchen, and it was fascinating to watch. The entire tasting meal took about 2.5 hours.
  14. Let's be clear - it is called an Infinite Veranda. You can call it an infinite balcony if you want to. As with almost everything else, book one if you want to or book another type of cabin if you want to. Some people like them while others do not. There is no right answer, just personal preference.
  15. I love the infinite veranda. I use it way more than a traditional balcony and I like the floor to ceiling view in the room. My last one was locked once while during washing. That was the only time. Some people chime in with rumors and saying they hate them but have never sailed in one. Unfortunately, others looking for opinions listen to them and have false information. Try one for yourself. Some people like them while others do not. You have to decide for yourself.
  16. That sounds like your stateroom attendent. The concierge is an officer level with an office on the 3rd floor ( on the Edge) and also available by phone. They do not wait in the hallways or open doors. There are also not a lot of them on each ship. They are very helpful though.
  17. Today was the first time I could get in and find the item. I had been kicked out repeatedly. Hopefully, the glitches are fixed.
  18. Definitely do the tasting menu, it was outstanding. Took about 2 1/2 hours and I can't say enough about it. I did not have the wine paring.
  19. Unfortunately, prices on all cruise lines have increased. I usually have about two years booked, but I am struggling to find prices that I am comfortable with. Hopefully, prices will settle down soon.
  20. You should have definitely checked her in to get the arrival time you wanted. I won a move up bid after check in and had new edocs and luggage tags in about two weeks.
  21. It is better than not getting anything, I'll happily take minimal over nothing any day. We all started at classic and worked our way up.
  22. Thank you for your review. I am a mega ship fan, but they are not everyone's cup of tea. People really like the Constellation and I think I might have to give it a try.
  23. Thank you so much for taking all of along with you. I loved your review, and cannot wait to board the Edge next week.
  24. If they booked all included and changed cabins and booked cruise only that is a big chunk of the price difference.
