  1. Summit with have an aft elevator which Is exclusive to M class ships with =X=. A big plus when booking a cabin near the rear.
  2. As for the original question, I think we will book pretty early since we'd be interested in the repositioning of whatever ship does Bermuda, than a B2B on the 1st Bermuda sailing. It won't be Eclipse or Summit. Their schedules are set elsewhere already.
  3. Eclipse appears to be in Europe for the Spring/Summer of 2025. Summit is in Alaska. Wonder which ship will do Bermuda.
  4. Corner Sky Suites are redone. We were in one on Deck 8 for 2022/2023 Christmas/NYE cruise. Sadly, there're not nearly enough power outlets. Room is lovely but for that, and the long walk which can't be helped w/o an aft elevator.
  5. I guess I consider a counter top for storage first and display platform second. Totally a personal thing. If Millie looks anything like Summit you'll love the SS. The deck furniture is very uncomfortable and dysfunctional, however. Again, IMO. Enjoy your cruise.
  6. Your Kelly SS will be full of dead coral and other brick a brack that you may want to stash is any cupboard you're not using. The stuff clogs the counter space, IMO.
  7. We went back to AQ for the Eclipse holiday cruise next year after being in sky suites on Summit, Equinox and Sillie. The first two had butlers. The Sillie TA last month did not and it was a difference. We also enjoyed one meal in Blu and the food was outstanding. We've done ten AQ cruises and trading the Retreat for unlimited PG is a trade off we're happy with, especially on non-Revolutionized vessels. When Bermuda opens next week we'll try to snag the same room. For what =X= wants for a suite, we've already sought other lines and booked Oceania, Ponant and Regent on future suite voyages.
  8. That's very interesting. We find the tables so close it's easy to strike up a conversation with those next to us if they are of a mind to engage. Enjoy your next voyage.
  9. I certainly didn't mean to sound like a room snob! In fact we're in AQ on the Eclipse holiday cruise next year. FWIW we dined in Blu during Sillie's TA last month and it was every bit as good as Luminae.
  10. Oh Geoff, you're right. AQ has a single column of shelves beside the sink. Mixed up AQ and SS!
  11. I assume it will be Eclipse again in 2025. Looking to B2B with her repositioning to NJ and her first Bermuda cruise. Just visited Bermuda on Sillie's TA and it's a fantastic island.
  12. There are his/her cabinets on either side of the sink with lots of shelving. I choose to unload my hanging bag and just use that storage. Easier than having to take a step to the back of the door, but certainly up to you and your preferred routine.
  13. Careful...mentioning the big box TA is frowned upon here. Not that I care, but the site does. Once can always book direct with X and transfer to the TA of choice.
  14. Put you phone in airplane mode while on board. Without an international plan from your carrier you will be charged mightily for calls but from St. Thomas and Puerto Rico, as they are US territories.
  15. We did Regatta's Transpacific in early November in 2019 and the weather was great. Seas were not nearly as rough as I expected. We went on from Tahiti to Bora Bora for 5 nights with perfect weather.
  16. We love 1540, but 1552 isn't bad if you don't mind the window washer. It really only blocks the horizon. You can still look down and see the water and forward to the bridge.
  17. I just played on Sillie. It was okay but you only win Casino Credit if your not picked for the actual game. My traveling friend was picked for the bonus round and got $250 Casino $$.
  18. Total agreement. Thanks for great advice.
  19. We are river cruising 8/8/24 on the Saone south of Dijon. We're flying to CDG on 8/5 and immediately getting on a train out of town. Hopefully we'll avoid any hassles.
  20. Thanks to all for your replies. Safe travels.
  21. DW and I will have two bags each (1 LG, 1 carry on) for the bus trip from Victoria to Southampton on NE. Hers is a bit over the 20kg weight limit. How strict are they on the number of bags and weight. Thanks to those in the know.
  22. The forecast isn't great, but hey it's England.
  23. Are you on the TA to Ft. Lauderdale? If so, you are invited to join the roll call. There is a sail away party at the Sunset Bar, although the weather will not be accommodating to seeing the sunset.
  24. At least they're emails. Oceania, Regent and Viking combine for 15-20 flyers per week via snail mail.
