Aqua class cruise only fares - estimated prices for drinks and wifi?
marieps replied to zitsky's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We booked AQ on Eclipse just before the Ala Carte fare was available. Even though we are Elite Plus and will rely on free premium wifi minutes, the gratis and the drink pkg make the AI a better deal for us. We also get the E+ discount on the premium drink upgrade should we choose to go that route. -
That certainly happened to us on our Riviera cruise in February.

We were on Connie in 2012. I saw one lady (Canadian) partake. Fast forward to Oceania 2023... it's little known fact that topless is allowed on the forward sundeck outside the spa. You need a suite card key to get in. This was on Riviera.

There are those whose strategies do not involve the pass line. Don't like the odds, don't play. Getting rid of a standard casino offering because you don't like the payout is silly. The slots are tight, so should they be eliminated too?

I'm hoping we hear from CC's expert on all things federal @markeb on this. His experience in these matters is very valuable, IMHO.

I notice no one thanked you for YOUR service!😁

This has been a very balanced and industrious review. The pictures are great and we all appreciate, I'm sure, the effort you've put in to sharing your voyage. Many thanks.

One of the reasons I dislike the E Class layout, with Blu and Luminae so far from the main gallies. Choices must be limited to those menus only.

Here's our rollcall. I didn't see you on it. Just in case you're interested. -

Will I see you on Silhouette? Sounds like you're describing its itinerary. -

Not sure which type of cabin you're in, but be advised neither Eclipse nor Connie is Revolutionized, so no Retreat sundeck and no revamped cabins, should that be on interest to you. Glad you enjoyed your first =X= experience. -
Welcome aboard letter for Elite passengers
marieps replied to mike60707's topic in Celebrity Cruises
There is no bogo, but there is often a discount offered on the first night of your cruise. Check your cruise planner in your on line account. If you have no TA, you can call =X= directly for the drink upgrade. Otherwise, let your TA handle it if you desire it. -
For those interested, we have a Prestige suite on Le Lyrial, which is basically two of Jim & Iain's rooms joined as one. The bed in one is converted to a sofa, so one cabin becomes a living room. It gives us two bathrooms and two closets, but the suite is bisected by the middle wall with a TV on each side. The plus is a super large balcony, which we hope to use extensively in Antarctica.

Jim, as you know, your post on the Ponant board about its status match policy saved me $3,550 on my upcoming Antarctic voyage in February. =X= cruisers take note that Ponant matches Elite + with its Admiral tier, which offers a nice discount, free laundry and $100 OBC. Jim, May I please have the name of the Buenos Aires restaurant? Thanks again for all you do.

Congrats and have a great trip.

Future booked cruises with All Included? Tips no longer included.

A thoughtful post from a thoughtful loyalist. I hope =X= spends at least a fraction of the time considering your comment cards as you do writing them. -
Celebrity used to be a step above the rest....Not anymore

You've made my point for me. =X= and DW and I are no longer a fit. If you expand my signature, you'll see I've been a loyalist for 13 years. Sillie's October TA will be our 19th =X= cruise. Things change. -

I was about to explain the reasons I just booked 61 days in Asia with Regent. I believe my fellow posters leave nothing for me to add. -
This is strange. My TA asked me to send snap shots of the =X= website listing my status. Within an hour I got a new invoice reflecting a $3,550 reduction in fare for my Antarctic expedition on Le Lyrial in February. I have admiral status with Ponant. Jim and Iain, thanks again for just another very helpful post. I think you ought to speak to another rep.

Celebrity Silhouette Main Dining Room Experience an Embarrassment
marieps replied to Rustyman's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We too are on Silhouette's TA in October. We're to dine in Luminae. Let's hope the food does not show the same cutbacks that other suite amenities have seen (no more SS butlers). -
Ama Magna is a fantastic voyage We did Budapest to Vilshofen, with stays in Budapest at the front and Prague at the end. It was out first river cruise and we've already booked another, as you can see from the first post. Enjoy.

I have an aft corner Sunset Sky Suite on Sillie's TA in October. There's one SS left just below the Sunset Bar for $1700 more. I'll be happy on Deck 8.
