  1. That seems SO early. Waiting for them to update it and say 'oops, we meant November 19th!' @Ourusualbeach let us know if you get any updates, lol.
  2. It does help if you're able to book them when they open up on the website (30 to about 60 days in advance). But if you miss out, then yes, the suite concierge will be able to help. You will get an email from them a few days before sailing, so have your 'wish list' of preferred times ready so you can reply with those.
  3. Maybe you'll get to watch them install the casitas on your first sailing--offer to test them out for free. 😛
  4. If you are on Mariner, then there isn't a Coastal Kitchen, which is where JS are allowed to have dinner. They do not have full access to the suite lounge/happy hour. Just dinner, if space allows in Coastal Kitchen. So it only applies to Oasis and Quantum class ships because they have Coastal Kitchen. Jr. Suites on other ships cannot go in the suite lounge.
  5. but I think that went away post Covid. So now it's back, sort of? But mostly you get your drinks at various bars during 'happy hour' and it hasn't been in a specific location.
  6. The only thing new about this is they are now inviting us to a lounge they have created for Elites. Everything else was already in place. No transfer of points.
  7. I got the email too--and it's only 10% off both lunch and dinner. So not really any different than any other time.
  8. just a few questions, same ones you answer on the app. No temp check.
  9. I'll bet after noon-ish will be fine! 🙂 I'm getting on Allure in 6 weeks, don't trash the place, lol.
  10. I sailed out out PC two weeks ago. C&A level doesn't matter unless you're Pinnacle, at least not on the day I boarded. I was in a Jr Suite and had a 10:30 arrival time. They did have separate lines by boarding time and were funneling people into those lines and checking the time on your seapass. Once inside they had a line for those in suites. It went pretty smoothly. I'd stick pretty close to your arrival time on your seapass unless you got something really late.
  11. You should try and book them in the cruise planner as soon as they open up. The concierge can help, but if shows are totally full, they can't do too much other than try to fit you in at some point.
  12. There will be a section for guests in full suites, but you still need reservations. And as mentioned, they release those seats about 10 minutes before show time so that people in the standby line can find a seat.
  13. I posted this reply while you were updating your post and I didn't see if until after this one posted--if you go back, you will see that I then saw your update and 'liked' it. Now you go have an umbrella drink.
  14. I'm a long time member of cruise deck plans and I've also stayed in aft cabins on Voyager class a few times. So I know what I'm talking about when I say that on deck six, there's a railing that separates the rooms 'balcony' from the deck. Not really a balcony, it's flat/flush with the entended deck area that is only accessbile by crew. The OP knew the risks, and that they might get an obstructed view. But I have to agree that it's not really a balcony if its not elevated over something, which it is not. That's the point I was trying to make.
  15. That's a aft on deck 8. There's a huge difference compared to deck six when it comes to aft 'balcony' rooms. Deck 6 is really a railing that separates the rooms patio area from a very large open, flat deck area. I'm not sure how they get away with calling them a balcony, to be honest.
  16. agree. Why go to the trouble to change the name and signage if they don't have an underlying plan? There's a reason, we just don't know what that is yet.
  17. Allure hasn't been updated--so there are not any slides like on the other Oasis class ships. If that is important to you and your kids. I just got off Independence and it's a great ship. Take a look at port stops and decide, since those are young kids and some stops might be more fun for them (and easier on you) than others. Factor in flights as well as pre-cruise hotel stays, if you're managing a budget. Both Southampton and Civitavecchia require quite a drive to get to the port, which adds to the cost of course.
  18. I think this is true--I'm over 65, but my friends in the stateroom next to me are 59 and 60--and aren't able to get this deal.
  19. I logged out and back in (had logged in early this morning) and now it's there! I see on 'the Blog' that now there's the option to add beverage packages when you book the cruise. @Ourusualbeach are you seeing that option for your customers? ETA: I only see this for my sailings through the end of this year. It's not showing up for my Feb on Harmony or April on Anthem sailings.
  20. hmmmm, I'm definitely a senior and I'm not seeing that sale for any of my upcoming bookings (Oct/Dec/Feb/Apr).
  21. I book mine as soon as they are available on the Cruise Planner or App. Concierge has been helpful for changes (like when Aqua shows get canceled due to weather), but I like having the shows in place well in advance and then can give the Concierge (when they email me) my preferred times for Coastal Kitchen based on what I know my entertainment and activities will be on each day.
  22. We'll try and leave the ship in decent shape for you. 😂
