  1. I have heard that you can no longer order fresh coffee to be delivered to your cabin early am.  I am one of those people who do not leave the cabin before coffee in the mornings and absolutely hate instant coffee. I wonder if the cabin steward would give me a small coffee pot so that I can at least make my own with supplies which I will take with me.

  2. As a VERY seasoned cruiser, I used to love cruising, but have not been since the beginning of Covid.  £9,000.00 balance due for a 35 night cruise at the beginning of March, (payment due at the beginning of December).  So many cutbacks, I am considering whether I go or not.   Trouble is, I don’t want to fly anymore.

  3. Going on the 35 night cruise at the beginning of March 2023.    Thought I would see what the excursions but am amazed to see that a number of them are all ready fully booked and we are only Mod-October 2022.   Very disappointing.  Anyone have any thoughts?

  4. I am returning to cruising on a 35 night cruise in March 2023.  Very nervous now about the embarkation procedure.  I am Baltic but have not cruised since the onset of Covid.  Have already noticed various negative changes and am now wondering whether to pay my balance of £9,000 and what other negative changes I may expect.  I do not have the skills necessary to upload photos which is normally done at the embarkation desk.  Any advice/help would be much appreciated.

  5. I have just received some up to date protocols.  It would appear that should you test positive during a cruise, some countries insist that you be disembarked and spend time in a quarantine hotel.   A little harsh on a 35 night cruise.  Has nooner heard about this?

  6. To PaulatSea,

You are going to have a wonderful time. I think you will find that a lot of the negative comments are coming from the seasoned cruisers, of which I am one. who are thinking back to ‘How things used to be’.

  7. Selbourne,

you could be writing for me.  So much of what you say relates to my feelings, especially the wine as I am now on my own.  I still have the old fashioned idea that a lady does not walk around with an opened bottle of wine!    Before we actually took our first cruise, the thickness of the cruise brochure’s pages told us we wouldn’t be able to afford it!   Sadly, now P & O have opened up to the mass market things ‘and behaviours’  have gone downhill.
