  1. I just Googled it and their page says there is not a current offer available. Apparently you can verify your status and be notified of future offers. When I booked a cruise earlier this year I was also told there was not one available at that time. https://www.princess.com/cruise-deals-promotions/first-responder-medical-offer/
  2. Many people in an uproar on the Princess board too, due to recent changes.
  3. The music walk is our favorite for sure. Also, we always seem to find a favorite bar and bartender that provides exceptional service. The last was April 2022 on Rotterdam at the RS Rock Room. His name was Justin and he took very good care of me during my birthday cruise! 🥃 Our next itinerary is on Princess, so it will be interesting to see how it compares.
  4. I sent an email on May 8 seeking help accessing my booking on the website. I received a reply last Tuesday, August 1st saying they have passed my info on to their "team" who will take a closer look at the issue. So almost 3 months later they are looking into a problem that no longer exists. This problem was resolved via Captains Circle telephone support back in May, after a week or so of not getting any sort of email reply. 🙄
  5. I did this recently. I simply went in to change the booking and selected the same flights. I don't remember if it kept the same seat assignments though.
  6. Our LAX arrival is at 6:45 PM on a Friday. Based on your comments and others I've read, we would be better off staying that night near LAX instead of trying to get to San Pedro, correct? We have the option of earlier arrival at 11:15 AM, but the Crown Plaza check-in isn't until 4:00 PM, and that also means a very early departure from our home airport. This is our first trip to LA so I am trying to figure out what the best option is.
  7. I did find a few extra cabins by changing to 3 people, but these are regular balconies. Do some of them actually accommodate a third person with a bunk? I ended up booking a Deck 8 cabin through another site - as I mentioned previously, Princess is showing Deck 8 as Sold Out.
  8. Sorry I should have clarified. I was only looking at Mid- and Mid-Forward. The only cabins shown on Princess.com in these sections is a few on each deck (looking at 10-12) around the Panoramic lifts, which might make sense in that area, but all three decks are showing guarantee only for Mid-Forward. Do you show any Mid-Forward (10-12)?
  9. If you're willing to check another, yesterday I was looking at Discovery for January 13, 2024. For a regular balcony: Deck 8: Sold out Deck 9: A few available around elevators Decks 10-12: All guarantee, at the 'Select your own' price.
  10. The phone number in this post got me directly to a CC rep who solved my problem:
  11. Here's a comparison - the Time Bandit docked in Ketchikan next to the Eurodam in 2018. 😲
  12. Thank you so much for posting this phone number. My issue was resolved in a matter of 15 minutes (including post-call survey) after all my other attempts failed. It was nice to talk to someone knowledgeable who apparently was not located in an offshore call center. Tip for others who do not book through Princess and then register for a Captains Circle account: make sure your information is exactly as it appears on your booking, and do not use Auto-fill for any of the entries.
  13. So far I've spent a couple hours between a phone call and a chat session w/Princess with no resolution. I found an IT support email in a similar thread and tried that yesterday. Hopefully this works, otherwise I am going to see if they can delete my account so I can start over.
  14. I am going through the same problem. I used my short first name instead of my full first name when I registered on Princess. Can you see your booking if you use the 'Access Your Booking Without Registering' screen at the link below (using your full name)? https://book.princess.com/cruisepersonalizer/login.page This is the only way I can access mine until they fix the problem with my account.
  15. Another comment I had was in regard to Billboard. They have all those video screens hanging on the walls, and it would be nice if it was used more as sports bar during the day. They could play various sporting events on all the screens. I wound up at the casino bar on a sea day to watch a golf tournament, which was not an ideal place for that.
  16. I agree, this was also the case on our Rotterdam trip and I noted that in my post-cruise comments. The Sun Bar was never open either.
  17. The Ocean Bar was our go-to spot on the Signature ships.
  18. Correct, we ended up booking the kayak excursion at the last minute through the staff at the check-in/excursion area on shore. The only reason we did this is that the weather was a bit unsettled that morning and we weren't sure we really wanted to go. This was April 2022.
  19. In my experience, yes it's the same. This was on the Rotterdam in April. I thought it was very good - I had it in both venues. And I'm a picky lasagna aficionado! With that being said, had I known it would also be offered in the MDR, I would've ordered something else at Canaletto.
  20. We elected the refund option and received our deposit of $216.00 back on June 28. Yesterday I received an email from Virgin reminding me, that because we took the 200% FVC option (we didn't), to book a 2022 sailing by July 31 in order to receive an Access Key. So I log into my account this morning and we have FVC of $300 x 2 plus a third credit of $27, so $627 total FVC to use by October 2023. Apparently the $300 x 2 might be the 'My Next Virgin Voyage Program' as a result of booking prior to November 12, 2021 (I was not aware of that program), and I have no idea what the $27 is from.
  21. I couldn't have said it better. After sailing on the Rotterdam in April, the Pinnacle class ships are our new favorite.
  22. Good luck, let us know how it works out. St. Croix is not an often-visited port so I'm sure there are others who would like to hear more, especially about the Big Beards tour.
  23. I'm sure they've accomodated a lot of cruisers on their tours, but it would be a good idea to make sure they are aware of your schedule. All-aboard will be at least 1:30.
  24. I don't know about European sailings, but cigarettes were available during our April Caribbean sailing.
