I'm in a wheelchair so I don't believe that. There has to be accomodation made for ADA, that's the law. Maybe they meant you couldn't ENTER into Zero that way, but exiting should be open. Now I know there is an ADA elevator, I'm not concerned about it.

There are 2 doorways leading to the outdoor promenade or running track that we plan on using out of the ice rink. I couldn't go down or back up those stairs anyway with my wheelchair so we'll exclusively use those doors to get in and out. Then back into the indoor promenade. I also think they will eventually have to remove the sports bar, don't know where they'll move it but it probably has to go. Hope the designers are seriously studying this problem whilst Star is being built!!!!!

We are transplanted Arkansans now, but we've done Voyager many times after she arrived in Galveston, lately we are able to do a couple cruises a year but mostly flying to Florida for O class these days, we sometimes drive down to Galveston and do shorties, last Sept. we did Allure for the 3rd time, but I'm really excited for Icon in September...

I always thought it was OK, but I base my burger desires on San Antonio's local popular burger joints, Chester's and the Longhorn Cafe. It's really odd how different burgers come out when they are all about the same ingredients. For me, they gotta have toasted buns, Chester's paint them with some sort of butter/garlic spread and slap 'em on a spittin hot grill while they're cooking the patties and those patties are GOOD meat not a bunch of cardboard tasting ground. But lots of flavor, they come out with a crunchy edge to the buns but very moist and meaty, a fair amount of grease but oh so scrumptious. It may be the Guys' burgers are somewhat like that. We may just do Jubilee soon and I'll find out!

Oh wow, we cruise Voyager again next month, first cruise back on her in many years.

Maybe that's why it's not on Icon class any more. After a couple times for the songs, shake and burger, we didn't bother going any more, then when O class came out, we have done breakfast a lot, but haven't spent any $$ there in at least 15 years. Being from Texas I had never even known about JRs until we cruised Voyager. It was a novelty with the singing waiters, I suspected it would eventually be phased out.

Can't wait to try them on Icon. We're headed straight for that area the minute we board.

The more relevant question in my case is can I afford it. We could afford the price we paid in Oct. '22 but not the current pricing. Whether it's worth it is relative. I know we'll want to cruise her again just by the reviews, but we'll need to plan better and save a lot of money if we do. There are plenty of places still on CoCoCay where you can be almost the only peeps around, you can take the tram to all of them now. I've been searching for the perfect ship for our 30th in 2026 but Xcell, Celebrity's newest Edge class ship is a fraction of the new Star of the Seas or Icon. So it'll probably have to be her.

I just watched a video that interviewed a couple who stayed in the Surfside balconies and they said there was no significant noise associated with kids as everyone is afraid of there. That sounds really helpful. In 31 cruises there have been many time I've walked up to where my cabin was and realized, wrong end or side, etc. Usually do my baby flip flop magnet but its getting old 🤪

We're looking at it for our Jan.1, 30th anniversary but also looking at the inaugural, ain't scared o'no Hurricane! Excited to see the next one and whatever sculpture they're gonna put on the Lido!

We've done GS on the small ships twice on shorties, never the big ships or longer cruises....looks like we've already waited way too late! 😥 Our cruise buds did the loft this summer and she's already said, nothing but the lofts for us from now on....I just said, good we can live on your balcony when we cruise!

That's what I'm thinkin....but we need to save more pennies. LOL
