  1. These are missed by so many, but were one of my favorite things on Allure along with the stream in Solarium There's a Finch stowaway in the second pic
  2. I am anal about charges, sorry just OCD, so I check frequently on our account. I've remarked before to the barkeep that it doesn't show a drink charge but it's just too much trouble to track it for them so they shrug it off. Now I'll have the app to try to get it straight. BTW, does anybody still just push currency at them so it's easier to tip? I think I'd like to just hand them a tip to make sure the right server gets their due. Ez Pz
  3. RCLDINING@RCCL.COM <RCLDining@rccl.com> Yep that's correct, they emailed me right away, that's unusual....are you sure you asked for traditional seating? They won't assign a table if you're listed as MTD...as Biker said you must do that when boarding.
  4. There's always fog around this time of year in Galveston. Once coming back on Navi in February, they held us out in the channel until 3:00 pm in the afternoon before we could come in and disembark, don't you know the folks were chomping at the bit that day? Then on February 2010 we were supposed to board Voyager and she was late because of fog. They offered us all $30 a piece for lunch in Galveston, I kid you not. We thought that was awfully nice, but we didn't board until 6 PM and the fog came back in so we left at 2:00 AM.
  5. I would bet a fortune the beef purveyor has changed....several times!
  6. O wow, looks like they are doing away with the awful maroon and gold balls...love the crystal and snowflake motif! Lovely, can't wait to see....
  7. Now I have a question, can't find the answer to. In Diamond lounge, each drink counts toward your voucher, right? But in Suite Lounge, are you limited? Or could you have 2 or three drinks before dinner and then later on use the drinks on your Diamond Plus voucher elsewhere? Trying specifically to decide if Royal Up is really worth the bid up to Grand Suite. All I figure you get is Suite Lounge access and Coastal Kitchen, right??
  8. They just emailed us with our 2 top location for next week! I have the table #. They aim to please!
  9. That looked so good We just booked lunch at Gio's boarding day also.
  10. We're sailing next week with Bette and Bill...glad they are breaking her in for us, we'll get tips when we meet up! I am soooo excited! Thx for the recommendations, I hate wasting time doing the stuff we do not like.
  11. "OFTEN" This has not happened in over 25 years and 28 cruises with RCL we have done, every one of them booked by me, some transferred to an agent for perks. Not until I go to book ICON did it change for us. I have booked multiple cabins with 3 to 4 capacity for just the two of us, not until recently have I not been able to book any cabin I wanted with one exception, the Presidential Suite on Liberty, they specified we needed 5 to book it. This was extremely frustrating as I was not allowed to book the cabin I really wanted! That peeved me, but no amount of calling nor whom I called was going to secure me that cabin, so I took what I could. But I made sure they knew how stupid this was and how many customers would be removing 3rd or 4th person ASAP. If and when this happens, I will surely move to the cabin I really wanted....IF AVAILABLE! Which will probably not happen.
  12. Ya'll just glided by on Port Everglades cam. Bon Voyage ya'll!
  13. Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!
  14. Watching Odyssey now waiting for sailaway...so there, but really there next Sunday! Woohoo. Following along this week will almost feel like a B2B.....nahhhhhhhh! But still exciting! Thanks for the Compass'
  15. My hubs says the worst one in the history of Christmas is "All I want for Christmas is You" Ha ha I just saw Mikew's post HA HA. I just think they overplay it so much and everyone gets tired of it...although it's the main song from one of my all time favorite Christmas Movies...Love Actually!
  16. I've spent hours out there looking with binoculars, with no luck, only in port do we ever see them (yep in Galveston), Oh maybe one other time we saw some out in the gulf but years ago! You lucky dog! Of course we see them many times in Alaska. I even caught a whale breaching on the Gopro. Lots of jumping porpoi up there as well, but bottle nose are hard to see except at port.
  17. Exactly. But, If you take the 360* tour and stop it right when they are panning that area, you can see space between the window and the X panels, also on some of the actual photos on the ICON thread, you can see a bulkhead between the Aqua Dome inside that separates that space from the cabins. So I suspect your view will be looking through both glasses, the window itself and the X panels of the extended wings of the dome. But the only way to tell will be to get one or tour one, hoping to do that in 2024. I have been able to see a few cabins on Disembark day after people have left their cabins and the stewards were cleaning.
  18. Yeah, I at first thought you were talking about inside balconies on Central Park, so I was referencing Oasis class...later I reread it...I corrected that in subsequent post.
  19. Most of those heading into the Aqua Dome and behind the glass windscreen are not balconies but fixed window walls. The Panoramic Interior Cabins.Cat.N cabins. That is the category we were hoping to book, but it was just too confusing with all the triple passie requirements and I finally got impatient with the agent who just couldn't get it together, so we just booked an interior. Although it looks like they will get sufficient ventilation between the screen...looks like there is several feet of space between your window and it. We'll just have to wait and see, I am certainly going to try and take a look at one when we board if possible.
  20. As someone who had one, I can tell you it was quite cool on deck 10, we had the port side on Central Park and again we had the last one on deck 11 starboard on the Aqua Theater and the breeze was quite brisk there as well. We had no complaints whatsoever except that you had to be discreet when dressing, but if you kept the sheer curtains closed during the day, no one could see you in there unless you were well backlit from the mirror or bathroom. Had to close the blackouts during the nights though to limit noise from Boardwalk and the Aqua shows, but Central Park was lovely, cricket and bird sounds and string ensembles at night. We'd book one again without question. For people who say they want to just chill out and watch the sea, deck 16 is predominately just that, places everywhere on that deck to just watch the ocean. People really need to explore the deck plans.
  21. Adults don't like slides? Well, I'm 72 and I still love 'em. I consider the smaller kiddies will be down on deck 7 in the family area (Surf Side and Splashaway Bay) not topside. Only the older teens etc will be up on the slides (Thrill Island)and Flowrider. If people would really explore the ship online they would see the only thing topside for the smaller kids is the little play area to the port side of the waterpark and a small kiddie pool under all the slides, that's all, the rest are adult./older teens areas, most of the kiddie things are on Boardwalk and the gaming areas. Those little kiddie splash zones are really just holding areas for kids whose parents may be in the main pools or sliding. I won't be down there, even if I am on the slides, the point is the rest of the whole top side is mostly older kids/adult areas with bars. And even the rides have height restrictions. Not a problem for me...I don't mind teens at all. The mini golf maybe, but once and done IMHO. Overall, yes, they're trying to lure more family style cruising, but that is not a concern for me. We will do our thing regardless and have plenty of chill time with cocktails in hand. And the solarium is just being replaced by the Cove and Cloud 17...only thing you lose is the glass roof. If it's raining go to the Aqua Dome area
  22. We've done carni and Celebrity 🥰, and we may venture out to NCL and maybe Mardi Gras or the newer Jubilee when she debutes, but we are just happy with RCL, why even go there.
  23. It occurs to me that some people just can't stand it that others are enjoying themselves and having fun....pity! People putting stuff on their cabin door is the last thing I would ever be annoyed by. Not even on my radar.....
  24. Avert your eyes....it'll all be better in the morning...........
