  1. It's funny to me too. We started on Rhapsody back in 2004, never felt crowded then, never felt crowded and even less so now, after 4 of the O sisters and now booked for ICON don't expect to. The only time I encounter a crush is when a show lets out....isn't it the same for any show anywhere...land or sea? We've learned to just wait and discuss the show until the elevators are less crowded. Waiting to board our first ever Q class, Odyssey! So excited I can barely breath!
  2. If one is accepted the others will no longer be valid as they will charge your card. I believe that is how it works, but maybe others will say different. I have two on my next cruise for Jr suite and Grand, we'll see.....🤞
  3. Cannot say, you would need to do a mock booking on your cruise to come up with that amount to compare. But I would never consider the maximum bid they offer...and we won our first attempt with a few $$ higher than minimum, ship was sold out on second attempt. BeckyBoo? LOL you mean there are 2?
  4. I bring the battery tea lights and also have a snail: Its magnetic, I put it on the wall beside my bed so I can navigate the cabin easily. The tea light stays in the bathroom.
  5. They are usually gone early after schedule is announced, in both our cases on Radiance and on Celebrity Solstice, I called at midnight on opening day of schedule, but a couple times it was still available on Caribbean cruises. Sometimes they become available nearer to cruise, we did that once too, Just dumb luck! If you ever get the chance get at least one cabin back there so everyone can enjoy it.
  6. We were in interior on Liberty and it was right under the ladies room in Centrum deck 4. Couldn't sleep at all because the cleaning crew came in every night around 3:00am! We were polite and friendly at Guest Services, and after the HOtel Director came into our cabin during the middle of the night to assess, they heard all the commotion. Upshot....they moved us into one of the brand new balcony cabins forward they added to Liberty during her refurb. Big surprise! I would've politely pressed for a move. Oh I forgot our family reunion cruise as well, my son/DIL in an interior way at aft of ship and she couldn't sleep because of the vibration of the rotors, we went and again politely asked if they could move us to a more central interior...lo and behold, they assigned them a balcony..another terrific surprise. RCCL has never failed to provide service above and beyond for us.
  7. Neither, hands down the aft! The views are unequaled there, but I see it's too late.
  8. The thing is, there is still the solarium vibe with the new Aqua Dome along with the adults area of Cloud 17...ya gotta love that.
  9. Awesome....really getting interesting now! With a year to go, looks like she will be right on time!
  10. OK I did find some youtubes. Looks interesting! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUsKD2usRm0
  11. She was quite plastered many times, reeling in fact. The next day we heard she'd been cut off completely. Sadly because of all these brawls maybe that is the proper response. We hardly ever exceed our 5 drinks per day and by the last couple days, I'm not even using it at all...just sick of booz by then.
  12. And that is not entirely true. We once knew of a woman who was a Cruise Critic member we had been talking to for months on the roll call, cut off by ship's security because she was abusing her package. And I can assure you, she was no longer able to use it. And it was warranted! Everybody was talking about that incident.
  13. Perhaps the poster eludes to the many altercations/brawls that have been happening onboard Carni cruises lately, even Navigator I think had one. Several bystanders got drinks, etc spilled or thrown at them as a result. I have seen several videos and I would say, I would've vacated the promenade immediately in such a situation. I have never witnessed one, but it might frighten someone if they were caught in the middle. Just sayin....
  14. Has anyone done this on Odyssey? Was it worth the coin?
  15. The outcome doesn't look good..........of course he can get a BC but at this point only his congressman can help. I'd get in touch with him/her immediately. In Texas one is able to go to an outstation or courthouse for the county in which you are born and obtain a stamped copy within a couple hours. Used to cost $12. But time is not on your side.
  16. Both our Alaska cruises were the very last cruise of the season in September. Clear skies almost everywhere but Skagway, fog was a problem on our train ride. But the natives were out in shorts the entire time. We saw plenty of whales, eagles, even a bear in the bear walk at the glacier in Juneau. I even caught a whale breaching on film! So any booking we do will repeat it. Glacier calving was terrific at Hubbard, but Tracy Arm wasn't very impressive. Will only do the Hubbard route. And my number one tip, if you book on the day itinerary is announced (used to be in March) book an aft. DSC_0023.NEF
  17. Hey no worries, nobody has all the answers, it is all speculation at this point. BTW has anyone heard Bayley give another "exciting announcement"....I keep waiting for it!
  18. I think you are pretty defensive yourself, you were negating my experience not the other way around. And Diamonds in December was a special sailing. Is it a game, what do you mean "does it count". I will not respond to any more of your posts in any event, I don't want to risk being suspended.
  19. I didn't say that either. I AM a little thin skinned, it happens on this blog. After being attacked by some posters you tend to get defensive. Sorry if you had no intention of being that.
  20. Oh a lot of people didnt but I do what I'm told....most of the time! 😉
  21. There are some at South Beach over by Beach club as well. I'd get there early though, there are not just lots of them.
