  1. We've brought the blow up doodles as well, we usually just toss them in the rubbish bin on way back to the ship. Have several pkgs waiting to be packed for upcoming cruises. Will use them in Lagoon Pool at the Cay in December! Perfect!
  2. Ditto, I rarely even finish my morning Latte after I've reheated it 10 times! Ouch. Once in a blue moon I will order one after dinner, but not much. I'm also mostly a winter drinker...summer is either tea or iced coffee. My cocktail of choice last month was certainly espresso martini! Love those! Mojito is my absolute go to though! MMMMMM
  3. Got the email last WEdnesday for Dec . 11 sail. Doesn't cost anything to try so I bid on Grand and Jr just a little over minimum. Happy with my current cabin, so no disappointment. Maybe we'll get lucky this time!
  4. Our cruise buds always choose around 1:00 to arrive and board, it always takes them longer than us and we are already toasted and delightful by the time they get to Boleros or the Pub.😜 And often times she is complaining about the slowness and the crowds...I always urge them to come earlier but no go. In Galveston last month, we were literally the first peeps at the check in desk getting all our papers checked (or I should say our phones since we use the app for everything), it was lovely!
  5. We will never veer from our current strategy which is to sign up for the first entry time slot: 10:30-11:00 and show up before that time. Even sitting in line outside the terminal on benches for 20 minutes or so, we were able to board within 10 minutes of our assigned 10:30 all 3 times this year. Then we relax with a Mojito and view the safety app, check in at our boat station and the rest of the day enjoy life! This was both in Port Canaveral and Galveston.
  6. There are no other choices now. No tote bags, photo frame...nada! We got strawberries too.
  7. My Diamond Plus Ste. Michele Champagne was great but the bottle of red the ambassador comped us was putrid! If they tell you they are sending you a comped bottle, it will be this brand: Beach Kite...caution!!!!! Don't open it!. These are of course totally separate from the Welcome back C&A perc which in our case was a can of warm beer...we changed that ASAP at the Ambassador's desk.
  8. WE got our denial from the loyalty ambassador well after we set sail 2 weeks ago on Grandeur.
  9. Just back last Friday from Grandeur, and we were emailed that it would be up to the ship to determine, after sailaway I finally got a message from the Ambassador that the ship was full and we did not win our bid. Exactly as I thought it would turn out.
  10. Todd and I have talked about this for years, we may plan to do it for either or when the time comes. He is much younger than I. I have printed out some of your info for him. It was very helpful. So sorry for your loss, and hope all your wonderful cruise memories sustain you in future. God bless.
  11. Hopefully we'll hear something this next mid week, we sail Monday next. But we'll be out of pocket until then, doing business along our route. Our bids have all been weak. But we won the first one we did. Seems like we found out the week before then too.
  12. We've only done 1 B2B both short cruises, but we were all herded into the hallway adjacent to the boarding ramp, nobody came to even look at us and then after about 10 minutes told we could return to ship. Course that was way pre-covid.
  13. I count on Hubs as he knows every time our CC gets charged automatically...no joy yet! But he's caught me a couple times....LOL
  14. Someone said incessantly checking the app for your room # is easier so that's what I've been doing.
  15. Heck I'll wait until after dinner to unpack. I have already bid and canceled on this cabin 3 times already, so when we were still eligible to bid today, I entered another bid. So this is as hopeful as I can get since we leave on Wednesday to go down to Galveston. Fingers crossed.
  16. Been waiting for 2 months now ever since I bid. But no joy! Yet! But there are tell tale signs. For instance on my upcoming Grandeur, there are only 7 inside cabins left at all. All categories sold out. I bid on a Spacious Ocean View cabin and those haven't been available since before I bid...so obviously all 16 of these rooms in the center of deck 7 & 8 Port and Starboard were given to the Royal Up program unless some were previously booked. That leads me to believe I have a chance of getting one since my bid is still in the cancel/modify status. But it's next week. Hope I find out soon. We leave for southern climes on Wednesday.
  17. These are usually posted at the very top of their main web page with an Exclamation point. Of course your family will receive an email if changes are made prior to boarding. You can also go here:https://www.cruisetimetables.com/ to see if the ship is listed as being in port the day of. Or just follow the ship here: https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/home/centerx:-12.0/centery:25.0/zoom:4
  18. I highly doubt any lard is used, I would bet on vegetable oils or nut oils.
  19. You won't believe it , but my favorite is/was the Coconut Creme Brulee and the sugar free Coconut Cake, neither of which they serve any more 😭I guess the regular Creme Brulee is now my favorite. And of course I can't resist any of the Chocolate Strawberries!!!
  20. I actually have a Royal Up offer submitted for one of these, but we'll be happy with the deck 4 as well. Only bid up $30pp. Our only other experience with Royal up was bidding the minimum and we did win the bid, however, didn't like the location of the new cabin. We'll see how this one goes.
  21. At $58.99 pp for the Beach Club day pass, which is what I paid for our 2021 Allure cruise, we could afford that and it was almost the cheapest thing going on CoCo Cay, now nothing is so cheap. We will just enjoy the Lagoon pool and the ocean thank you. At my age, (72) who needs climbing up 10 stories to take a 30 second slide, or a drones eye view of ....nothing but water on a balloon? If people would just stop paying these prices, they would have to be reduced. If we could get the same price we might consider the beach club again.
