MTD is no longer in different dining rooms hence the ridiculously late start times for earliest seatings ( usually 6:45). If you go to the dining room immediately when you board and wait in line with the hundreds of other disgruntled diners ... they MAY be able to accommodate you with a traditional early spot... I have witnessed tears and tantrums often help the outcome # OhSoSad Gl

I’m responding to you quoting me twice. I don’t dislike nor distrust RC. It’s just easy to be cynical by some of their actions. It’s not the people, it’s their practices at times for me. And I think you have the same feels about RC as I do. I’m long past the 2 increases but some, like you, don’t like it and it still resonates. Ya it did seem this was a bit "Pot calling Kettle black"

WJ open past 9pm - Would this be a draw for you?
LobsterStalker replied to Toddcan's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Although it's not to some who have responded to this thread , (to remain nameless as they know who they are ) , It should be common sense that EVERY factor could influence someones decision on where to spend their hard earned dollars . Though this issue is certainly not a dealbreaker either way for me , It can and has sparked an interesting discussion . Why some on a cruise (DISCUSSION forum) feel the need to over criticize blows my mind a bit ! Cheers ...and happy cruising ! -
To me the writing on the wall could not be any clearer on this one . It will start with revamping 1 level of the MDR into possibly several new venues , citing of course "Due to the overwhelming demand from cruisers to have more (specialty) offerings we are pleased to announce ...." Note : I have been wrong before ! Cheers

If you are on the 12th highest rated ship in royals line up , and didn't know it from reading the reviews , you'd still be on an amazing ship and have a great time .If you are looking to pinpoint problems based on others observations , you will find them , and it will influence your end result . We have had minor problems/inconveniences , and observations of imperfection on every cruise we have taken , and every trip has been an awesome experience. It's all in how you approach it Cheers

First Time Cruise with a Group - Help me pick
LobsterStalker replied to DCruisinlife's topic in Royal Caribbean International
To me , especially as first time cruisers I would not put any weight to the fact that Wonder might be a better ship. Liberty , though it will show a bit of age , is a well sized and outfitted ship . My opinion would be if you are looking for the "biggest and best"on your first cruise , that certainly limits where you want to go from there . Also , Though Oasis class are certainly going to give you the absolute most in bells and whistles , MANY cruisers prefer the slightly smaller . Personally , the only thing I feel I will miss when I board Liberty in a month is the Aqua show . But I'll catch it on the next go round ! Cheers -
These cruise prices are insanely high!!
LobsterStalker replied to P.A.'s topic in Royal Caribbean International
Did it really take you 34 years to figure that out? That was obvious on my first cruise 23 years ago. But that's not why we cruise. FWIW, you can do South America a whole lot better not on a cruise- it's a huge continent. Let alone Iceland. The only "destination" that is really unique to cruising is the canal and the various fjords that are only accessible from sea. That was my thought exactly when reading this . Sad actually , when someone decides to make a change and then suddenly wants to make others feel " less than ". Especially when they spent a good portion of life doing the same thing they are now disparaging . JMHO -
But ... best BANG for your buck ! Cheers

I'm gonna be the first to answer this differently. To me , not a chance ! However , the fact that OP is asking is reason to believe they can afford the extra if they choose to , so why not follow your heart . That said , in any case , doing it for the faster climb to Diamond would be silly... Clearly not "WORTH" that ! Cheers !

Denied Boarding at Port, with PITIFUL Compensation
LobsterStalker replied to SG65CB's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I disagree totally. (Most cruisers and the general public) as you state are upset , yes , at Royal's shortage of rooms . However the true outrage is and should be at the paltry attempt at compensation to those affected for such devastating news. I don't know what would constitute Proper compensation ,but I do feel they haven't even scratched the surface !! Billion dollar profits and treating your customers like that is Disgraceful ! -
Diamond (Crown Lounge) Access
LobsterStalker replied to Slidell_Cruiser's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I hear ya. With retirement closing in on us , I can see the opportunity for more frequent bookings , but not sure if it will ever lead to those kinda numbers . The only way I could realistically see a major increase in days at sea would be if moving were on the taqble Cheers .... enjoy every minute of it! -

Recommendations for Basseterre, st kittys & nevis
LobsterStalker replied to Drucruiser's topic in St. Kitts & Nevis
By your thread title this is helpful... By your post content this is not. Most memorable excursion we have ever taken was Mad max dune buggy tour in St. Kitts. Travelled On road/Off road , 1 end of the island to the other with excellent stops for viewing along the way Cheers -
Hideaway beach impact on Coco Cay
LobsterStalker replied to edrussell's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Have you ever spent anytime after lunch near the main bar at Oasis lagoon ? I don't think you could create more of a loud party atmosphere than is already available there ! Because of this , I'm surprised they are implying the adult only will be made to be a party area of any kind . Cheers -

OP asked about spot most suitable for motion sickness as well. Outside balconies are not the best option for this . The closer to the center of the ship and lower the deck the better . I personally would go with CP deck 9 , that way if there were times when this became an issue , at least you can come out for air , but still not be facing ocean . The other option as I think Biker stated is a very low inside cabin . Definitely the least movement you can possibly find , but , If you ever were to find yourself not feeling so great , you are confined to a very small space with no open air . Most likely either way you would be fine as these Megaships are extremely stable on the water Cheers
