  1. That's weird!! I was on the Royal Princess 4/16/23-4/23/23 and swapped the entire mini bar for a bottle of wine
  2. Ive often wondered about those cruisers who are dissatisfied with what they get from their travel €,£,¥, or $s and keep coming back. Haven't they heard the Einstein quote "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results." If I was dissatisfied I wouldn't return. But they do? (Or are they secretly satisfied but just like to complain)
  3. Is this the 1st time you've seen drop & go fares for cruises departing soon?? Those are often 50% off out of SF.
  4. If you board and noon and sail at 5 or so and it takes a few hours to get to international waters you have wasted most of one full day And?? You can't catch up? Plus the program covers non-alcoholic beverages, gratuities, and wfi
  5. We upgraded our drink package, if we had known this we would not have upgraded it. But other writes that they enforces this "Wine and Beer only" hours after they left ports. I think they should have told us when we purchased the upgrade of the drink package. But thats my opinion I think the assumption is that you can avoid alcohol until in international waters. Then drink up. That's just a very small portion of 1 day.
  6. Well Princess is just trying to make sure passengers can survive if they run out of food https://weather.com/news/video/australian-woman-survives-off-wine-and-candy-during-5-day-ordeal?par=samsung_widget
  7. After I starting inquiring someone on the roll call stated Princess does a shuttle but its not open ended. More like a DIY excursion. So I'm taking that. Just posted this this afternoon
  8. Don't you have gourmet Cali-Mex, Greek, French, Middle Eastern food trucks around you?
  9. Is that why I saw a really REALLY large Expedia group with preferential boarding in SF 4/16/23?? And another large group (50+) escorted about in Ensenada??
  10. Apparently I traded Loyalty OBC, coffee card, and internet minutes for the vegan menu and some of the absolute best quesadillas I've had ANYWHERE!! And Cali-Mex food is all over the place here. Seems like they got some of the best food trucks to share that recipe plus some other vegetarian Mexican food recipes with them. NOT SPICY (i requested not spicy) but chocked full of flavor. Off menu food variety (for those who have to preorder due to allergy) is SO much better Handing out OBC more freely now I get tokens to do my own laundry -- no more broiled / bleached disasters
  11. How can I get to Southbank from the International Cruise Terminal. https://eatdrinkandbekerry.net/index.php/2022/11/28/brisbane-international-cruise-terminal/
  12. I do it on ever cruise but tell them to not deliver sandwiches & sweets, just tea & scones. But sometimes it comes anyway. I just want a lite bite. This one was a perfect size
  13. Your right ... I book the one with the sofa mid ship
  14. Bottom line: you can control the speed of service.
  15. I've sailed on three cruises on Princess in Europe in the last year, and no show started before 20:00. When was the last time you sailed in Europe? I haven't sailed there since 2-September-2022 so things may have indeed changed.
  16. Yeah .... 1st show is at 7:30 but you're still at dinner which is why you didn't know 😂 (7:30 shows in UK, Europe, Caribbean, Asia, Japan, Aus<->NZ, and of course USA) 2nd show is significantly later ... I think 9:30 but I'm already listening to music somewhere.
  17. Which is why I prefer the premium balconies. I like the sofa especially when having tea service in front of the game. Royal Princess has a larger sports bar, Deck 6 Double Down Bar, but most cram it into smoky Churchills
  18. I preorder and sometimes request that the appetizer (if asparagus) and main (when fettuccine) come together. Then I mixed the 2. And yes, I eat at 6pm and don't want to spend 2 hrs eating as I want to get to the shows or musicians.
  19. Tea was still $2 a pot 4/16/23-4/23/23. Has that also gone up to Peets land prices ($2.50-3.95)? It's their branded tea bags. Even Starbucks is $2.95-$3.25 and you don't get the actual pot for it to steep in there
  20. Interesting because when I booked there was not mentioning of an OBC - even on its website. Did your CVP have 'extra OBC' she could share? Mine does sometimes depending on the booking
  21. Hey no foul here!! I'm an ovo-lacto vegetarian and love cream in coffee & that ice cream. Yum!! Will ask for berries with it from now on. Cheese is trickier. I make cheese without rennet & some commercial cheese has no animal rennet. Strict ovo-lacto vegetarians do not eat cheese they do not buy without checking it online first (yes, that's a thing)
  22. Look at your Travel Summary to see if its refundable or nonrefundable. That's the only way to know for sure Sometimes I get refundable from my CVP but strings attached to getting one. Like when I got 100 obc for my cruise 2 weeks ago because it took so long to refund $35 for missing Boston
  23. Just as long as i can still trade the minibar. Now to see if I can trade it for obc in 3 weeks It took me 2 weeks to drop my cruise weight and I'm on in 3 weeks. So I really don't need these. Will stick to 2 scoups gelato / ice cream / sorbet and a (1) chocolate chip / oatmeal raisin / pb cookie after lunch or dinner.
