Its all about the "Grounds Coffee Package" -- think someone should've clued them in that it's NOT WORKING!! So glad I don't board until 4/16/23
Assune you mean the one with good wines. Post pandemic it was / is / as of December 2022 $25, not the Grapevine Wine Tasting which is $10 (waived for Elites).
Oh I'm so sorry to hear that. I've got CFAR insurance so I'm protected. As someone addicted to caffeine I'm not 100% happy with this week's changes but not unhappy enough to let it spoil my voyages. Hopefully you can find something enjoyable on your voyage as well
The 1st menu has orange sorbet. 2nd menu just lists it as 'daily sorbet.'
😅🤣😂
IMHO Its a good move to have SD main dish options available in MDR. Would you prefer to pay $40 in SD instead @BamaVol? Or maybe just not have the option?
It's not too late to cancel. I would never throw thousands of dollars at something that I expected to disappoint me.
Who was it who used to say a bad day at sea is better than a good day at home? That's still true for me
He boards the Regal today. Apparently flew out the day before. I will take a screenshot of his response
He just called. (Wifi calling). A few things about the Regal:
1. No coffee pkg
2. Can trade for wine / champagne / wide selection
3. Crown Grill apparently only pre-booked maybe 1/2 time slots ... he could have any night he wanted at 5:30
4. Can prebook Sanctuary if on a back-to-back and even if on a previous voyage a few months earlier (totally unfair)!! He was the 2nd one in line waiting for the door to open and got the last lounge
Just wondering what “free” perk you traded for an alcohol package or are you talking about a coffee package
Absolutely 💯% correct!! I primarily drink coffee, tea, and water. I will bring on 1 bottle wine but often don't finish it.
"Followed by...less drinks over the entire cruise SHOULD equal a lower price point. "
For those who buy the drinks / drink pkg but higher for those who do not. In other words: yes your price goes down but mine goes up as I don't 'buy' a drink pkg historically!! I've traded a free perk for it
Went into SF to get a certified birth cert & was handed back exactly what I showed them (old one was copied microfiche with a validated for id on the back / new one is the standard 8×11 multi-colored sheet). So the karma is:
1/11/23 - submitted
1/23/23 - flipped to received so earliest I can change to expedite (didn’t)
2/8/23 - added expedite & express mailing
2/24/23 - called & confirmed expected completion date week of 4/16/23 (embarkation 4/16/23)
2/25/23 - flipped to printed
I chalk that up to a useless Bart trip into SF City Hall. But I did have coffee at my favorite place there
All mine said was "don't worry, you can still have coffee. I know how important it is to you" and then I got 65 OBC. Not sure if its related but timing weird .... or maybe its that Princess had me go to SF for an updated birth cert (my passport is stuck in processing) thats exactly like what I had .... or just bc
Thanks Ginny!
I'm just cracking up over here because on another thread @Shelly97060 states they are actively selling & trading minibar for the 'new' coffee pkg.
Maybe Princess does pay some attention to social media
@spyro1952 can you post a link to the vlogg??
Just to clarify: I thought I could still buy / pay for a cup of coffee at IC. I did not see or hear where it was a closed venue only accepting Plus, Premier, or the new $47 pkg.
Not on the ships I've been on and IC's large cups are the perfect size. Now that I've settled down I'll probably still buy one of those to avoid carrying my Starbucks travel cup around.
I used be so accepting of change but covid shutdown was apparently a jolt to my sensibilities. It's just $6 + 18% tax a day. I can easily afford that
THANK YOU!! not carrying on then. So I won't need to check luggage.
FWIW I looked at what I paid per week ÷ 7 and that was 256 day in outside room. I'm now paying less than that for a balcony. So I guess CCL has to get it somewhere .... if not in room charge then amenities.
I think terrine has gelatin in it (at least the one I tried once did.)
Still beats a fruit plate, cheese plate, baked potato with steamed veggies. I'll take that menu all cruise long if I can't have the vegan menu options with cheese added.
