  1. Hotel kettle and coffee machines, one of the examples was guests boiling undies in the kettles 😂
  2. On my last THREE cruises (Star, Spirit & Breakaway) over a period of five months they have only had Decaf (gold pack) on each ship, no regular coffee available so I'm not sure what problems NCL has with it's supply chain but its affecting multiple ships.
  3. They also supply Lipton Tea bags (you can just make out the yellow packets in Birds second picture). You just remove the coffee bag holder so you don't get any residual coffee taste, then you get untainted hot water..
  4. We had exactly the same but in reverse, when we arrived at port there was no ship, we found an NCL bus service in operation to take everyone to the commercial port. On our return we arrived back in the regular city port.
  5. When I asked this question a few months ago the consensus was that it was one bag... with any extra bags being at the discretion of the Cruise Next manager. Maybe one to raise at the Cruise Critic Meet and Mingle.
  6. I used to save the PDFs but on my last cruise, a few weeks ago, they appeared to have changed the app. In the past when I clicked the daily it would download and open a PDF I could then save, now the daily opens in the app with no PDF download taking place. I could find no way the save a PDF any longer.
  7. It can be done on the underground (Metro) but it can be tricky with luggage & being a Newbie. I would take the Heathrow Express, it quick easy and direct, it's about £25 where the underground is about £13 but it's well worth the extra money. https://www.heathrow.com/transport-and-directions/by-rail-or-train/heathrow-express
  8. I assume its NCL as that is what you mention. 1, 21 days out check-in opens at midnight Florida time. So don't stay up late UK time, just get up early. 2, Yes, take adaptors, they normally have both EU and US plugs, some (Newer & refurbished) ships also have USB outlets in the bedside lights.
  9. It is true, the rooms vary a lot, our friends could hardly get past the corner of the bed in their OV, we had an inside and had bags of room there.
  10. Same mix as always on the Star two weeks ago, lots of very good Filipino & Filipina staff.
  11. NCL shore excursions trump everyone, they get you off as a group. No need for a number, they handle it all.
  12. If you have unlimited wifi I would use WhatsApp, you will be able to text and make calls over wifi and it won't matter if you have Apple or Android. $10pp is for the entire cruise.
  13. The imessage loophole is very hit and miss sometimes working, sometimes not and sometimes partial messages getting through.
  14. Phone number is 0333 2412319 Or the link here and they will call you. https://www.ncl.com/uk/en/about-ncl/contact-us
  15. Encore is my favourite ship, an incredible ship with a huge viewing lounge front and down both sides. The public viewing is so good we did not even use our balcony in Alaska.
  16. I think it would be difficult once on the ship but I don't see a problem getting your card then leaving the terminal building before getting on the ship. But you will be with the crowds and in line for ages for no reason. I don't really see the advantage though, you might as well drop your bags with the porters and not enter the terminal, having dropped the bags you are free to explore the city, just return 2 hours before sail away and do the check-in, it will be very quick done late with short lines. I think this would be the best use of the time available.
  17. It's actually dead easy to undo a zip tie and re-fix it. You need nothing more than a simple toothpick.
  18. Not in my case it's not, I wasn't aware any answer general call but my PCC certainly does not. My PCC is home based and lives in Malta, he does not deal people outside his list of clients More general to the OP, once you get a good PCC they are worth their weight in gold, one point of contact for all problems. They get to know what you like and our cruise history. Honestly my PCC is the best, he even calls me a couple of days after my return to see how I enjoyed the cruise. If you have a bad PCC get them changed.
  19. It's not going to happen, they put a label in each garment then they all get washed and dried together in huge machines. If they did what you suggest they would have to pick through all the wet clothes to find your items and separate them before drying. Just can't be done in commercial machines.
  20. I'm a small business owner and take 3 cruises a year, you just need to do it right 😂
  21. It's you expectations that are unrealistic, nothing wrong with asking and hoping for a good result but saying you will reconsider your relationship based on them being unwilling to ease a deadline you have known about for a year is a bit over the top.
  22. You can only adjust the service charge on prepaid service charge with the form issued onboard as they have to be given the option to resolve the issue. I probably won't adjust my service charge now but you need the form for the option
  23. As the OP I can update what happened when I went to customer services after Belfast. As we lost 2 days drinks package from 10 days, I requested a 20% drinks package refund. I was told this was not possible but I could take the value off my service charge, as I always prepay she gave me a form to request this, sad but true, they were more than happy for me to remove all the service charge than refund 20% of the drinks package. Apparently they had been removing service charges for those who did not prepay all day long. I won't be using the form but wanted to post the onboard situation.
  24. I have tried to remain factual posting what was happening on the ground without agreeing or disagreeing, I leave it to others do decide the truth from fiction.
