  1. That could be true, but I have to wonder if the Prima is a "small" ship.
  2. We had a wonderful 2 days post cruise in Montreal. IIRC, there was a tourist information place. In fact at there we saw a brochure for a mall that had a Barbie Doll exhibit, literally thousands of dolls. Dolls from every country and state and of celebrities. It was something we never would have known about if we had not gone there. The other major highlight of our stay that I can remember was a major museum (whose name I cannot recall) that had an exhibit of African art that inspired Picasso and the art by Picasso that was inspired by that art.
  3. I booked through a TA. Instead of that form what he sends is a PDF of the invoice. I think I shall e-mail him to see if he has that information.
  4. I looked and do not see on my itinerary the dock/tender feature.
  5. I knew you were going to say, time to call my supervisor. 🤣 Lucky that this is not like calling a cruise line and getting the response when asking for a supervisor that either they are all busy or none of them are there now.
  6. I'm not sure that would help as it is not more than one port, just a small port that can handle small ships without needing to use tenders, but cannot do the same for larger ships.
  7. Did you read an earlier post that said what if it was due to entering a witness protection program? I bet you do not get tp deal with that issue very often. 😒
  8. We have 2 smaller ports both in Iceland and Norway on our cruise this summer. When I asked an NCL phone representative what if any port was a tender port, the immediate answer was only Geiranger. But, I have been in contact with a tour guide in Isafjordur and asked where the tour would meet. Her reply was at the dock where the tenders come in. This seemed to me to contradict what NCL had said, so I googled is Isafjordur a tender port? And the answer was smaller ships did not need to use tenders, but larger ones did. Now though the Prima is not Epic sized, it is still over 3000 passengers. What exactly is a small ship for the definition of using or not needing tenders for this port? If anyone know, I would appreciate the answer.
  9. Somewhat on the topic of Iceland excursions, do tour guides in Iceland expect tips?
  10. There seems to be a misunderstanding. You cannot name or recommend TAs, but you are allowed to name and discuss tours that you have taken.
  11. We are booked on the Prima this summer whose itinerary includes a few small ports in both Norway and Iceland. I was on the phone with the excursion people, and after finding out that an excursion that DW was interested in (but we can probably do for less money anyway privately) was sold out, asked what if any of the ports was a tender port. The immediate answer was only Geiranger. I have been in contact with a local tour operator in Isafjordur, Iceland, and one of my questions was where do you meet the tour. I was told at the dock where the tenders come in. Now this seems to contradict what I was told on the phone by NCL. So, as always, google is your friend. I found that smaller ships do not need to tender, but larger ships do. Now the Prima is not Epic sized, but still 3000+ is not a smaller ship. My take from this is that it will need tenders.
  12. You are not alone; I was wondering the same thing.
  13. No, with that much cash you could find a lawyer who would get you off.
  14. 🤞, you asked, you received. 🤞, and one more in case the first one did not take.
  15. Really not much difference between 3 days and 72 hours. 🤣
  16. Wow, where is it still snowing? The temperature here is in the mid-80s, way above normal.
  17. We paid $4 million for a cabin on a cruise ship that will sail the world year-round. We want to travel in total comfort, without the 'bag drag' from place to place. (msn.com)
  18. Obviously, the waiter did not want to show he did not know and felt he or she had a 50/50 chance of getting it right. The proper thing to do is to say you don't know, but can ask in the kitchen and find out.
  19. You are not allowed to name Travel Agents, but you are allowed to name tour operators as long as you have used them.
  20. Many places overseas also do not accept American Express cards. And even some places in the USA do not.
  21. It would be difficult not to be cheaper than the cruise lines' excursions!
  22. IIRC, our TA said approximately 45 days out.
  23. We are looking to do a nature walk with them, and wonder if anyone can share any experience, positive or negative with them.
