  1. I would not hold my breath for the fantastic future story. 😒
  2. Have zero use for the medallion, and that last bit of information seals it, no more Princess cruises for me. There are plenty of other cruise lines, and they do not have medallions.
  3. hard to go under zero. What would that entail, the cruise line CEOs asking us questions instead?
  4. Then why is the stock price being discussed in this thread? Are there are a bunch of institutions posting in here? 🤣
  5. Non sequitur, my question was how did the stockholders make out, not how did passengers make out.
  6. I shall try to get my aging body into a lotus position and wait patiently. I hope you get better soon. 🤞 And remember, the best way to have dinner with Hank and Mrs. Hank is to pretend to be British or Australian. So work on you accent. 🤣
  7. Unless you find yourself in the "Twilight Zone". Cue up the introductory music. (BTW, when the show had a new reboot, the introductory music was then played by the Grateful Dead.)
  8. And airlines are still flying. They had their bankruptcies and are still flying, but how did their stockholders make out?
  9. I remember earlier in this thread, Hank gave you his cabin number. Do you intend to meet him, maybe even share a meal? Easy enough to give a phone call when one has a room number.
  10. When we went to Reykjavik on a land vacation, we used one of Iceland Airline's deals where they combined one of the hotels they owned with the flight. We found that very convenient to do.
  11. I'll bet your son really, really enjoyed the Vasa museum when the cruise was in Stockholm.
  12. Making the old maxim, better late than never, true. Glad to hear it worked out for you.
  13. Hoping for the best as we are now paid in full for our summer Prima cruise. One takeaway from what I have been reading on this thread is that we better wish for non-rainy weather from the UK to Iceland!
  14. Actually, I did think of one other good thing to say, it was small enough that it hit all 3 ports in Bermuda, not just the one largest one.
  15. My DW is, or was as she is now retired, an art teacher. At a meet and greet, one fellow passenger quizzed her on things to see in Florence. She gladly discussed it, as she loves to talk about art and share knowledge. Another time, we were on an excursion that was back to Heathrow that included walking around the Dover and going to Canterbury on the way. The guide pointed out in Dover a bank of radar that was used for the RAF in World War II. I told him that her late father was one of those RAF pilots. They had a lively conversation following that.
  16. I will say one good thing about our Crown cruise to Bermuda in 2006---best entertainment we have ever had on a ship. Nothing else good to say.
  17. I have to disagree with you. Either the industry survives, or it does not. They are all in the same boat (pun not intended), facing the same economic realities.
  18. I think I already posted in response to an earlier post by you that you sounded very cynical. I see you agree..
  19. DId you read the post where the OP checked the postmark and it seems it is more of a postal problem than anything Princess or the firm that is issuing the check had?
  20. And out of the hundreds of questions over various cc threads, who picked out the questions to be asked. Were possibly hard questions deliberately not picked?
  21. We did an NCL cruise out of NY to Bermuda before there were Breakaway class ships. Our ship was the NCL Crown in 2006. The ship was not really set up for freestyle, and was soon no longer part of the NCL fleet.
  22. And the packing and unpacking is also a lot easier when the "hotel" does the moving.
