  1. Enjoy. It's too bad St. Petersburg is no longer an option, but there are still great ports to visit.
  2. I would have rather had it done this way by other lines when the stock is in both our names. If it really matters to you, have the other person give you $50. Now you have the equivalent of what you want.
  3. 🤣 at trivia question generated by a staff member doing the trivia. I once had a staff member ask as a trivia question, how old was he. I told that to another staff member doing trivia, and he said that was not one of the questions in the list. (Note this was not on HAL.)
  4. 🤞 for you. I hope you and all future Prima passengers on that itinerary do get to Isafjordur, unlike all of us in 2023.
  5. Is a cruise right for you? Start by asking yourself these 7 questions (msn.com)
  6. Thanks, I am surprised my DW in her research missed them. If we ever do another Baltic cruise, I'll make sure I let her know about them. (For our last cruise we spent over 4 hours in the British Museum on our pre-cruise day, 2 1/2 hours in the Rijksmuseum on our first port, visited several museums in Bergen, a museum in Akureyri, and a museum was included in our art deco excursion in Alesund. She rarely misses museums.)
  7. Congratulations. Two great games that both came down to the final play. You have to say that despite all the criticism they received, the committee got it right when they picked and seeded the teams. I was once with a group of people (maybe 5), and they all introduced themselves by saying they were so and so from wherever in Michigan. And I immediately said and I'm Bob Seeger and this is the Silver Bullet Band. 🤣🤣🤣
  8. Well, you Michigan fans must be feeling quite happy at the moment. 😊😊
  9. Go to the area where baggage is picked up. I was surprised that our bus from Heathrow left before it was full, but then it made a stop and picked up some more passengers at IIRC, a hotel, quite possibly one used by Norwegian.
  10. I used those 2 ports as a comparison because those were the ones we really saw churches and other architecture. Yes, Stockholm was also truly an amazing port, one which I really wish we had a lot more time. Our other ports were Oslo, which was another amazing port, and Gdynia for Gdansk Poland, a less amazing port. It's truly a shame that no one is cruising to St. Petersburg now or any time in the foreseeable future.
  11. My DW would be more worried about not being able to see the Rose Bowl parade. And to the OP---wishing good luck for you for Michigan. I bet they would have rather Florida State been the opponent than Alabama.
  12. Yes, but just make sure the non-refundable credit has been applied to your account before making any purchase that you wish to use it for. It is not immediate.
  13. We did and we didn't. We enjoyed much of what we saw, but since it was a Monday many of the museums that my art teacher wife wanted to see were closed. Also, it was beautiful when we left our hotel, and we dressed as if it would stay that way. But as I am sure you know, the weather is ever changing in your country. We were eventually rained on.
  14. I did like the Church made out of Rock, but DW was not impressed. After Tallinn and St. Petersburg, I just found everything less impressive. I don't remember there being a fine arts museum. DW is an art teacher (now retired), and I don't know how she could have missed that.
  15. This probably does not apply since it was way before Covid, 2007 to be exact. I found super inexpensive round trip flights between Newark and Copenhagen, but our return had to be a 9 AM flight. Both Princess and our TA said no way, way too early. So, we decided to stay a day in Copenhagen and take a 9 AM flight the next morning. When we received the tags to fill out for baggage for flights, my DW pointed out that one of the tags was for Continental (the airline we were flying) flights at 9 AM. I looked, and not only was she right, but there was another tag for flights before 9 AM.
  16. And if you do a British Isles cruise, try August and make sure you have Edinburg on the itinerary for the Scottish Military Tattoo. We had an overnight, which meant we could do it and not worry about getting back or having to buy an excursion through the cruise line. You do still have to buy the tickets in advance. There are various ports used for Edinburg. Our ship docked in Rosyth.
  17. On our recent Prima cruise starting in the UK, our passports were NOT stamped in the Netherlands. They were NOT stamped in Norway. In Iceland, we had a sea day that was not on the original schedule because the ship would not tender in Isafjordur. On that day, passengers were called by decks to HAVE THEIR PAASPORTS STAMPED. There was an exception for those doing a back to back cruise since they had started in Iceland.
  18. Actually, when the ship is in a port, they are neither on sail or sale as they are behind locked doors on a ship that is not moving. 🤦‍♂️
  19. We've been to 3 of those ports. Tallinn---easy to walk it without paying for any excursion. We had a Rick Steves Scandanavia book, and just followed his walking tour. Stockholm---there was way more on our possible to do list than we could have possibly done in our time there. Our #1 attraction was the Vasa Museum. Helsinki--found less to do there than any of our other Baltic ports, and cannot really recommend anything.
  20. Sounds like an excellent itinerary except no Norway. Also, I have read of ports in Greenland often being missed due to weather.
  21. No Northern lights that time of the year. We did not have rough seas at all, but of course there is no guarantee of that.
  22. I don't think we are really disagreeing about anything, just coming at it from different directions.
  23. And the Prima London (Southampton) to Reykjavik cruise which the OP mentioned also includes 3 stops in Norway, another fantastic country to visit. We did this cruise last summer and thoroughly enjoyed it despite 2 missed ports. Hopefully, well before their planned cruise, the dock at Isafjordur will be finished. The stop in Belgium was cancelled due to an extremely low tide and won't happen again. There is also a stop in Amsterdam which is another very, very interesting port.
  24. Yes, I agree with you. But unless I am misinterpreting the first post by the OP, he or she is looking to write off expenses without showing enough income against them to pay taxes.
