  1. Sounds good, thanks for explaining, and enjoy your cruise!
  2. Yes I know that. What time was your boarding time? We choose 11-11:30 and we were assigned boarding zone C02. On our cruise they hadn't even started boarding when we were checking in. As I said, It's not priority boarding it's priority check in. If, for example, a non platinum or diamond happened to be able to choose an early boarding time they would have been given a higher number just for the fact that they choose an early check-in time.
  3. Once you achieve a certain tier level within BCC you get a drink package as part of the bennies, which doesn't require you to be gambling to get a drink in the casino. Same with Carnival; certain casino offers require you to play in order to receive a drink while there are other offers that give you a beverage package anywhere on the ship. Royal's the same way too. NCL may be more liberal with their initial free drinks under their casino program but remember they are the ONLY cruiseline that charges a stupid 'Administration Fee' to book a comped cruise under their casino program unless you're in the highest tier. Carnival charges a non refundable fee but you get the same amount back with OBC so basically no fee. We stopped cruising with NCL's casino program due to that ridiculous fee.
  4. I enjoy wearing a nice pair of jeans and a cotton pullover sweater without a collar shirt underneath.
  5. Unless things changed since our last time on the Mardi Gras back in April at Port Canaveral there's Priority Check-In for Platinums and Diamonds but not priority boarding. In other words there were separate check-in lines but after that you were given the most current boarding group regardless of your VIFP status. Did that change?
  6. I find this a strange suggestion; spending money on a cabana just to get free alcohol?
  7. Bermuda requires all visitors to apply and pay for a visitor's pass. Here is the weblink to the form: https://www.gov.bm/cruise-travel-authorisation
  8. This sign again confirms that a COLLARED shirt isn't a requirement.
  9. Are you sure about this? On our February 2022 Reflection cruise the paperwork pictured below indicates the cabins are accessible and available from the moment of boarding on embarkation day;furthermore, there's no qualifier stating the cabin is only available for dropping off hand luggage, which implies you can occupy the cabin.
  10. I'm rereading the Daily Planner for Sunday, February 25, 2022 on the Reflection and for Evening Chic this is what's printed: Men's Fashion: Pants or designer jeans with a a long sleeve shirt, button-down shirt, or sweater. The reason I bring this up is many an Evening chic night I may wear slacks and just a pullover sweater WITHOUT a collared shirt underneath. Previous discussions on this topic seemed to imply a COLLARED SHIRT is the minimum type of upper body wear for men. This statement seems to contradict that. In other words Jeans and a pullover sweater meets the Evening Chic requirements, no type of collared shirt is required.
  11. I see you're mainly a Princess,Carnival, and NCL cruiser. FYI Celebrity doesn't have self service laundry rooms, so you'll have to pack accordingly. You cannot bring aboard bottled water. You're experienced cruisers so a Celebrity cruise isn't all that different. You didn't mention which ship or what type of dining you chose, so if you can let us know there can be more ship specific helpful hints given to you.
  12. You're supposed to be gambling when you're ordering drinks in the casino.
  13. What exactly do you want to know about this? Is it noisy and a little slow opening and closing the window? Yes, but only when you open and close the window. What else do you need to know about this? It's not going to keep you up at night with people randomly opening and closing the windows at all hours night and day, if that's what you're afraid of. It's REALLY nothing to be concerned about.
  14. The cabin is the same size as the other balcony cabins but the decor is slightly different and the toiletries are slightly different. Tt also comes with different robes than the standard ones when requested and slippers are provided. Yes the biggest difference with this cabin is you have unlimited access to the THERMAL SUITE which costs extra for everyone else. The special elevator takes you right into the area where the thermal suite is located, and with your room key card you'll swipe it to open the door which actually lets you into the thermal suite. The elevator makes it easier to access the thermal suite especially if you're already changed into a bathing suit and don't feel like traipsing through the whole ship taking the regular elevators down to the spa and past the spa reception desk.
  15. Definitely fancier than the ones in the buffet, although my husband LOVED the ones in the buffet!
  16. Hopefully Bermuda won't drag it's feet on updating it's website for the 10/26 Beyond cruise. I've applied and paid for the BTA about a week ago and obviously at that point it was pending an upload of test results. Without the need for it on our cruise I hope applying for the BTA earlier with the previous requirements won't cause too much confusion on Bermuda's end in approving and sending out the authorization.
  17. I was in the Manhattan Dining Room and the eggplant Parmesan, Rack of Lamb, and Royal cake were very good. I asked for a lobster tail with with lamb and unfortunately it was terrible; so mushy and mealy that I didn't finish it.
  18. While it's an interesting trip there's not many ruins to see, so it's not going to be like Pompeii or Ephesus. The accompanying museum is actually more interesting than the site ruins themselves.
  19. Is there a reason you would want to have a spa appointment literally the minute you board the ship? What's the benefit in it vs any other time on the cruise?
  20. 2018. It was the Edge's inaugural Eastern Caribbean cruise. We wanted to sail this brand new ship but already had a family Christmas trip in South of Spain planned so we had to cut the Edge cruise early in order to have enough time to get home and pack up for our flight to Spain.
  21. Have you actually sent an email to the proper department? The two times we wanted to disembark a Celebrity cruise at an earlier port we did the request and received the authorization all via email. GFOTravelServices@rccl.com Part of our email: Hello: Attached is my recent booking. I wish to disembark early on December 20th while porting in St. Maarten. This would be for Robert Jay Berkowitz and Anthony K. Wong. Please advise concerning approval. Part of the response: Good Day, Please be advised that we have received your request to Disembark at an alternate port. After reviewing said request we are happy to advise that currently there are no regulatory restrictions that will prohibit an approval. There is a $65 Non Refundable handling to finalize your approval and arrangement. Please contact us at your earliest convenience and provide us with a valid credit card payment. We can be reached 7 days a week, 24 hours a day at: Domestic: 1-800-256-6649 (prompt #1) or International: 305-539-4107.
