  1. I am aware of all of that. Simply repeating what I've been told by people who do not want to put their event tickets into their wallet.
  2. I work at an entertainment venue and quite a few iPhone users also don't use their wallet. Some have even removed the app completely. They mistakenly think that it will somehow put their financial data at risk. As we all stand there waiting for internet connectivity so they can access their tickets via some other app. lol
  3. I’m doing a B2B on Escape, the 8 day Bahama and 5 day Bermuda in March 2025. I’ve been wanting to sail on her since I 1st started sailing on NCL. I’ve heard so many great things. I’m also on the 12 day Breakaway in 2026.
  4. Is there a juice bar on the Sky or a place I can get a variety of freshly squeezed juice? I'm trying to decide if getting the upgraded beverage plan would be worth it for me. If I could get fresh juice other than OJ, it would be. But I don't see any mention of it anywhere. Or if anyone has a list of ships that serve a variety of fresh juice, that would be helpful too. Thanks
  5. It's possible the machine was low on beans.
  6. Only you can decide what location is best for you since it will be based on your preferences. But look at the deck plans for the ships you are considering for the solo categories and see where they are located.
  7. My suggestion is to get the balcony at this bargain price. Then you can see what a balcony is worth to you for future sailings.
  8. I was in a solo inside and won a balcony upgrade. I was placed in a solo balcony. I don't know if that was a coincidence or not. My ship doesn't have a studio though.
  9. Look at the location of the solo inside cabins vs the studio cabins and factor that into your decision. So far, I have found the new solo cabins to be in less than desirable locations (no location that I would've picked).
  10. I will be taking my 3rd MSC cruise out of Brooklyn on the Meraviglia in October. That's the cruiseline I would recommend to someone who likes NCL but wanted something different. I was on their first sailing out of Brookyn and yes it was chaotic. The second time was infinitely better, and I had the same arrival time. The same could be said for disembarkation. I thought the bar service was good. The bartenders at the Edge bar would get my caramel cappuccino with a shot of Bailey's ready as soon as they saw me in the mornings. They have espresso machines at most bars. I'm not even a coffee drinker but I loved my espresso with a piece of dark chocolate. I didn't have any issues with the food in the MDR. I ate most of my meals there, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food service was spotty though. Like if I wanted a juice that wasn't on the tray they walked around with, I might have to ask 3 or 4 servers about it before I finally got it. It sometimes took a while for one of my friends to get either cream or milk for her coffee. I can't remember which, but it wasn't the one they serve with the coffee. The only specialty restaurants that I ate at were the Mexican place and the Sushi place, which were both excellent and cheap in my opinion. I ate at both several times each on my 12 day cruise. the buffet pizza is as good as everyone says it is.
  11. I don’t like the Flow water because it’s alkaline water. I prefer tap/buffet water. If I get the upgraded drink package, I get Acqua Panna. I wish I could order that as a water package.
  12. Maybe it's new for 2024? I don't even recall anyone mentioning it in recent (post COVID) discussions.
  13. I saw an old one posted. I do believe there used to be a snack menu. There was no snack menu on any of my cruises with a Vibe since I started sailing NCL after the start-up. Getaway, Breakaway, and Prima
  14. There is no Vibe menu and the fruit is brought out at the timing and discretion of the bartenders and brought around to each individual. They aren't sitting out or anything. I have not had cookies served in Vibe but I haven't sailed on a ship with Vibe since 2022.
  15. scratch that. I have done the Canada cruise out of NYC
  16. Yes, that's the one! This will be my first NYC cruise that isn't to Bermuda or the Bahamas.
  17. I book most of my cruises that far out, whenever the itinerary is released. Being a solo cruiser, I need good rates. I have a 12 day out of NYC on the Breakaway scheduled for Feb 2026. But I also have 7 booked in the meantime! LOL
  18. It doesn't matter if you've paid in full or not. It won't show until they start listing entertainment for your sailing. How far out are you?
  19. Ok. I like the Vibe and will purchase it on any ship I’m on that has it. But, there is no pool, no music. It’s not a party space. It’s not open at night. I find the Spice H2O to be much livelier. I can say that as a solo cruiser, I have never had an issue finding a lounger by the pool. But that is a perk of Vibe, never having to fight over a lounger. But again, no pool or pool deck parties/shenanigans. I also feel bad when I make acquaintance with people who don’t have a Vibe pass. Sometimes a hard choice has to be made. Lol. But I like the camaraderie that I make with the Vibe guests. I think being an introvert, it’s easier for me to be more outgoing with people I see frequently. But I also have a similar experience when I frequent the bars on the ship (Maltings!!). Here’s a thought. Maybe you won’t like any of the people who hang out in Vibe. Would it be worth the money just to have a lounger and bar access?
  20. Thanks for the clarification. We stayed in a house that was on one of the islands off the coast and I was amazed at how many of them we saw. This was in 2016 I think.
  21. I use Verizon. For use at sea for voice, it's pay as you go $1.99/minute. There is a $50 travel pass for use on cruise ships for DATA only, not texts or calls. I try and save my call activity for when I am in port and can use my travel pass days that I have banked.
  22. I like the brownie cookies. Brownie on the top and chocolate chip cookie on the bottom. Do ya'll have Insomnia Cookies where you are? That would be an excellent franchise on a ship. Cookies and ice cream available until 3AM
  23. The people who have certificates but have also vowed never to sail with NCL again
  24. I’ve bid the minimum twice and won both times. Upgraded to a balcony from a studio and inside. I rarely bid for an upgrade though. I only do it when my original price is crazy low and the added cost of the upgrade bid is less than the current price of my current category.
