I was just on the Zaandam, an older HAL ship and there was smoking in the casino. It may have been in a non walled off section because it permeated the casino.
We were on the Zaandam in April. We went to the dining room around noon on embarkation day and the Chef happened to walk by when I was talking to a staff person and he said the MDR is never open on port days. 🤷🏻♀️
We are about 17 days out from our cruise and have not received our cabin assignment. Our last cruise in April we got an upgrade offer 3 weeks out but it was just to a better ocean view and the cost wasn’t cheap. One week later at two weeks out we got a room assignment which the a nice unobstructed cabin mid ship. One week later got an upgrade offer which was the same as what we were assigned. They later retracted that offer and said another would be coming. Never received any other offer.
We have been near the elevator several times and have never heard it. In my experience it is not like being near a hotel elevator which I don’t like. Connecting room once and we heard the guy sneezing a couple of times. It seems like a high price to pay.
We were assigned a D category. Our upsell offer of $249 pp was for a C - F category. Glad we didn’t take that (terrible offer imho.)We are very happy with this midship ocean view!
Don’t add 100 or more though as it will lock you out of adding any more. Fortunately many of mine are expiring today and I can add those I really want now.
There was no mention of casino in our offer. We have only one sailing on HAL which was last May. We spent maybe 15 minutes in casino and we did play bingo once. So we really don’t know what is triggering our multiple free cruise offers.
We recently received an upsell off on our 7 day Mexican Riviera cruise. Our cabin was a free obstructed ocean view. Our offer was $249 pp for an upgraded ocean view. We are not interested in that offer.
I agree with the poster who said salmon, hamachi and tuna. I don’t like fishy fish either. I don’t even like cooked salmon. I don’t like the nori wrap either so I don’t get rolls. I stick with the sushi or sashimi.
More than one appetizer there will be a surcharge. So I have to decide whether I want an appetizer, a soup or a salad or pay a surcharge. I would prefer they just increase the price of the meal.
I agree. The format looks exactly like the casino offers except that ours says your offers. It looks like the cruises are identical. Also people have no idea why they are getting them so they think it’s related to the casinos.
