  1. My understanding is Sea Blazers and Sea Rovers will maintain those names/badges for the foreseeable future. I’m unsure if the bar tab bonuses will carry over, they did say that they would. The Deep Blue Extras perks are to be determined for sailings after Dec 31, 2023. Currently you get DBE by being a Sea Blazer/Rover or qualify for the loyalty match program.
  2. They said it takes week after your qualifying cruise for them to automatically add the Sea Rover. If you haven’t seen the perks yet reach out to your TA or Sailor Services. My TA is working on getting my Sea Rover status set up.
  3. We picked Lower Antilles because we have stayed on Barbados for a week. These are both great itineraries. I’m pretty happy with the extra sea day as well. We have lots of busy travel plans until, so this will be a nice relaxing trip.
  4. Thanks, the few articles I saw left out the vote being a recommendation.
  5. Didn’t the city of Amsterdam just vote to ban cruise ships? Can’t find the date they intend to implement the closing of the port. Sorry this is super frustrating for you all.
  6. Our 3:30pm usually gets pushed to 5:30pm. So happy we can a leisurely exit on VV.
  7. We are booked March 30th on Brilliant. I have zero reservations that the ship will be delayed. We’ll be flying to PR at least 2 days ahead, mostly because flights from the west coast require a transfer. We are also leaving an extra day or two to travel home. As cantgetin mentioned, disembarking can be an issue and I’m not willing to stress on vacation. The really nice thing about the itinerary is the Saturday to Saturday days.
  8. They could announce something earlier as well. I did hear the TA was still going forward. What Brilliant does after the TA is the question. I honestly would rather they take the time to build new itineraries rather then cancel or modify them after booking. Anything other than the official word from Virgin is just speculation, you have to take it for what it is. Conneted to cell service and shut off WiFi. APP drops lots of functionality when on a voyage and not connected to the ships WiFi. Can’t even tap trough to settings. On ship WiFi and cell service, I’m still seeing the switch voyage option on available. Looks like an intended design function. My hope would be that on board sailor services are able to make reservations for you if were in that situation.
  9. That make sense, we’re currently at sea, so stuck on the ships connection. I had a chat about Brilliant and they are totally aware of the rumors and stress. Currently, they plan to make an announcement about itineraries at the end of August. They said that the TA is still going as planned. They teased about some new itineraries, but we’ll have to wait until they make the official announcement.
  10. You only get locked out while on board another cruise. Currently aboard Greek Gems and cannot switch voyages. I was able to switch voyages before we boarded.
  11. Just saw that someone was able to load their Brilliant Lady sailing on the app. I can’t confirm, the switch voyages feature does not seem to work while on board. I plan on swinging by the get lost desk today and asking.
  12. My personal opinion is MRS makes sense if you are traveling with a group and want to host get togethers. That way you’re making use of the mini bar and your rockstar agent. MRS agents can bring you food, so if you’re having fun at pool and what some pizzas, your agent can handle that. I thought it was a decent value under $1,500 a night, but those prices are long gone.
  13. There is a subreddit for Virgin, YouTube is also a good suggestion as well. I was pretty happy to have a TA last week. A family member called Virgin to add some sailor loot for our up coming cruise. I see an email come in that I owe $200 on my cruise the leaves the 9th. All I had to do was send my TA a quick email and she was able track down what happened and we were able to get the account corrected. There was no way I had time that day to call in.
  14. Can’t wait to see it. I liked Valiant’s layout of the Social Club. They had some big tables in the walkway between the roundabout and the grounds club. We love board games so that spot was excellent.
  15. We are seriously considering booking a B2B on those two. Just need to figure out the time off problem. Already booked the Lesser Antilles.
  16. The cocktail and nonalcoholic cocktail pairing at Test kitchen was waved when we sailed as MRS. It never hit our folio. I would ask your agent if they will change you for the pairing. If they are going to charge you, just order the individual wine or cocktail that pairs with the plate. The cocktail pairing are a full sized cocktails, I’m glad we shared the nonalcoholic. No preloading of your polio. The daily bar tab works just like a drink package on other lines. If you order something over $25, the server will confirm that a charge will hit your folio. Your agent will be able to help manage your charges. We kept getting a charge for espresso in the restaurants, we told the server not to worry about it and messaged our agent to remove the charge. We didn’t run into a VAT charge, but we may have been well under the $25 limit while in port. We had a scheduling problem and missed the bridge tour. There is not a change for those since they are invites.
  17. These are the current prices for Resilient Lady.
  18. This is the second time I’ve heard someone say that they had facial recognition tech at Terminal V. This is certainly a surprise. I wonder if they have a simi-portable system that boarder control is testing out.
  19. That’s my impression as well. I think the official copy has the raised seal. I promised a customs agent that I would get a passport. My ex and I flew back from Mexico in December 2006, got a good lecture about how I was cutting it too close to the deadline.
  20. I just hope it doesn’t slow down embarkation and disembarkation. I’ve always traveled with a passport, but remember RCCL had a separate check in for passport holders.
  21. They have added some of the Shore Things on their website if you want to start browsing those. We all get the frustration, the 120 day mark is coming up pretty quickly. https://www.virginvoyages.com/shore-excursions
  22. I keep guessing towards the end of July. They’ll want to open Shore Things booking for rockstars around then. My December 2nd cruise has Shore Things bookings open July 20th for rockstars.
  23. The booking shows in the app, the app errors out when I select that booking. If your only sailing is on Brilliant, you’re probably just getting an error. Hopefully Virgin takes possession next month and makes the app load Brilliant’s bookings. Next month is just my guess.
  24. Appreciate the insight, it makes sense from the cruise lines perspective, kind of to bummer for us. I was able to snag a Cheeky Corner for $1300 over the cost of an XL on Brilliant when they released itineraries. Was going for a Seriously Suite, but they all booked up by the next morning. Virgin is not have an issue selling the Rockstar cabins.
