  1. Rockstars head right to the Manor to meet their agent and book shows/events. If you’re in Mega suite you’ll head to your room to meet your agent. They might be serving sparkling wine or champagne in the Manor. RR does pour Moët for the sail away, I’m not sure what they pour for the pool deck sail away. It’s worth checking out the pool deck sail away if you want to meet the Happenings Cast. RR was very chill with 1,100 so we ended up sticking with the crowd. It’s easy enough to visit both parties, no need to commit.
  2. They make it with buffalo Trace and figs, bit sweet but a nice twist.
  3. Many quality old fashions on the ship. I even enjoyed the popcorn old fashion at Razzle Dazzle. You can order it without the popcorn.
  4. This is an older menu from the manor. Should give you a good idea of the prices. I’m definitely going to be getting a bottle of bourbon for our room. https://eatsleepcruise.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/The-Manor-Drink-Menu.pdf
  5. Did it all embarkation day. Got ready for dinner around 5:30pm, enjoyed the sail away until around 7, reservations at The Wake for 7, Grog Walk at 9pm, and the Grog Walk ended at the PJ party bar. They tell everyone on the Grog Walk to change into your PJs before heading to the last bar, the Happenings Cast leading the Grog Walk does so. The Grog Walk is a nice way to meet people and to get to know some of the Happenings Cast. The drinks are not the highlight, they’re more sweet forward and not my preference. I like the idea of eating at Gunbae instead of the Grog Walk the first night. I may do that the next trip. Embarkation day is a busy day. Highly recommend a good night sleep the night before. We’re planning on flying in two days prior for our December trip.
  6. I wasn’t too crazy about Virgin when I first saw their marketing and concept design. I loved flying on Virgin Airlines when they served the US, and was a bit bummed that I didn’t really fit who they were after. After seeing some vlogs it was pretty clear we were definitely interested. I still think VV should tweak their marketing and include the 40’s plus crowd more. Looking over your post you’ll absolutely enjoy VV. Top notch board game selection on board as well.
  7. I don’t think you’ll get much noise from the pool deck on 10-12. We were on deck 15, 3 rooms away from the pool. We could hear music on the terrace but nothing inside. The only deck I would avoid is 14 or any cabins by the Red Room and Manor. Those two venues have music late into the night.
  8. I booked my first cruise with Virgin directly. Not too bad dealing with issues that came up. They can do a lot with emailing them your issues. It would be nice if they provided some sort of update or notification that the issue is resolved. I’ve switched to using a TA and I’m pretty happy so far. It’s some much easier to stack offers with a TA and have them chase down issues. We spent hours on the phone with RCCL last year and it just burned us out. I think it’s well worth the time in finding a TA or convincing your TA to go through Virgin’s First Mates training.
  9. Sorry I can’t help with the Deep Blue extras questions. I think you might be able to check in the app: click me on the bottom of the app, then you should see a tab with My Agenda- Love Lost- Add Ons, tap Add Ons and the should show any packages you have.
  10. As long as you have your arrival time in the app your are good to go. They’ll tag your luggage at the port, I made some tags because I have trust issues. You will get your bands during check in after they scan your passport. It definitely feels like you’re missing/forgetting something. Only big difference is finding the Deep Blue Extras or Splash of Romance check in.
  11. Not overly wowed by it at $350. It might be decent depending on the cocktail/mocktail selection for the brunch and dinner for $250. What’s interesting is the part about the up charge items, are those included? ”With an enhanced family-style, chef-curated menu, complimentary curated beverage packages (with mocktail options, too, of course), and desserts — just for you and your dinner party (think gorgeous birthday cakes or delicious, “I finally broke up with Brad” pies), our celebratory dinner plus-ups, like sea-food towers and tomahawk steaks, make the experience of dining together (even more) memorable.”
  12. That’s really odd, checked my two bookings and only my wife is showing in the contacts. Our December cruise is a group cruise, none of the others in our Circle are show in the contacts.
  13. Very nice addition CC. The Facebook groups are a pain. The Resilient Lady group has odd permissions for linking. Our July 9th Greek Island group has 8 people and the admin hasn’t approved anymore new requests. Can’t seem to link the group without it getting stuck In pending approval.
  14. A good place to look for what the terrace situation looks like for each deck. I think there might be some pics of the bridge from one of the terraces.
  15. While Virgin doesn’t host a meet up, it would be fairly easy for a sailing group to to self organize one. Wear some pride gear and you’ll meet people.
  16. Been on Royal, NCL, and Princess. We’ve upped our cruising frequency because of Virgin. If we didn’t have to factor in additional time off to travel from California to Florida, we would be sailing a bunch. Virgin has done an amazing job in creating a space for active, relaxing, and partying adults. @kwokpot, the other two workout areas are hard to find. We did a bit of wondering trying to find the room with the foam rollers and TRX’s. They have a great selection of machines, but the free weight area could get a bit crowded.
  17. The website has been very glitchy lately. When Virgin launched they shipped your bands ahead of your voyage, but stopped doing so. The “active your bands” might be that old feature showing up on your account. I wouldn’t worry about it.
  18. Definitely call and have what reservations you want on hand, that way the person you speak too can make the reservations. Once on board your agent should be able to modify anything that doesn’t line up. At 58 days to your sailing date I wouldn’t mess around with emailing your agent.
  19. @fndecker, no need to stress about the PJ party. It honestly takes a bit for it to fill up with people. Many others will be coming from the shows and will change before heading up, this includes the Happenings Cast. If you’re stressed about the show conflict with it, sit upstairs in the Manor. Super easy to leave without disturbing the show up there.
  20. The PJ party is definitely worth stopping by. The grog walk ends at the same place, so it has a pretty good turn out. No need to be there at exactly 11. It’s an open event, so come and go as you please. We were on the grog walk and ran back to our room to change into our PJs before heading to to last bar. Some folks will wear PJs to the shows and grog walk, you’ll start seeing people in PJs around 9.
  21. Definitely not sure if I ran into a bug in the app or if the recent app update was a change in the way VV is scheduling check in times. I did not try to complete my Dec get ready to sail until today, but I was definitely locked out of my July booking until a few days ago.
  22. My non rockstar booking, the app was greyed out on the checkin details until the 173days to sail. I did notify sailor services about a week ago and said I couldn’t add the get ready to sail details. Was able to complete step 6 and select a checkin time. My rockstar booking is 316 day, and I was able to do the get ready to sail and select a time.
  23. The bar tab can only be used for specialty coffees, fresh pressed juice, and alcohol. It’s also use it or lose it. If you go past the $350/$400 per paid bar tab, they’ll just add the charges to your final bill.
  24. Ouch, we did the VHS workout the morning after Scarlet Night.
  25. The $175 is the lowest I’ve heard, usually $300 for a Virgin Voyages private transfer. I don’t think they get a lot of asks with Uber/Lyft and taxi so abundant in Miami, assuming you’re sailing out of Miami. Private cars are around $125 if you look online, Uber XL is probably half the cost. The private transfer VV does use is an excellent service, very friendly folks. Sailor Services is not very speedy, they have been able to resolve my issues though.
