  1. I was truly impressed on the Pride. They worked it and solved it.
  2. meh, while I agree there have been issues (Vista mainly), the number of sailings without issue is what to concentrate on.
  3. I get the hesitation, been there and done that. All that said, wonderful class of ship. Azipods can be somewhat……finicky
  4. LOL this class of ships are home runs, going on the Horizon this weekend. Been on all three,
  5. As most know, cruising is extremely busy and many ships sailing at capacity. With that, excursions often are completely sold out and others are selling at a large premium. Simply the reality of a system that is booming. The options are: book with the line, or book outside the line. Not sure what any of this has to do with speciality dining increases.
  6. Do not want to go into the weeds here. The point of my posts is that however Carnival determines how they want to upsell cabins that are either open or have opened due to cancellation or other means, the process is that (in our case, assume it is the same for PVP) it is automated that we get opportunity to offer upgrades to clients. Obviously they have have a way to determine whether it would be an upgrade or not. I know factually that it is offered to many. When taken, the opportunity to upgrade goes away.
  7. Actially they do not have to. They get notified of the client, and the offer.
  8. Been on 60, have not lost the little rush when we board, hope we never do.
  9. The program actually works, cabins open up all the time during the process, especially near final pay. For some, it it an easy decision, when other factors come into play (connecting rooms, desire to be near other cabins etc, the complication factor makes the decision less desirable (in some cases). Options are always a good thing.
  10. All true. Really was not trying to damper the excitement. They have been saying an update has been coming….for years. Enjoy the journey to get there, might be the best benefit of it all.
  11. You got a good deal, as they said in the 3rd Raiders of the Lost Ark, you chose wisely. That said, people really think the 3 free at sea are free….
  12. Hate to be the doom and gloom, you are correct as long as they do not change the program in the next three years
  13. Failure is a strong word. Have stayed in Havana rooms on both classes of ships including all Vista class ships and on the Mardi Gras. I would agree with other posters that on Vista class they are flat out home runs. On the MG they are less impressive, the pool pales in comparison, but it is still a private pool and the rooms are starboard side vs the alignment on Vista class. All that said, still a superior room and the HC has some additional “remoteness” which adds to the privacy. Im MHO far from a failure. would I sail in the HC on the MG, Celebration or Jubilee again, yes.
  14. Are they really free? They just do a really good deal of including them on the fare.
  15. Pretty sure my view of comparable would be on a cruise ship…..but that is me
  16. 6 months….24 billion….much borrowing and then refinancing all this debt, all the 600 hundred OBC which made cruising once it started done at a loss…. No excuses there ALL facts. But we all make our own decisions.
  17. The industry is the same…..being forced to close for 19 months will do that.
