  1. I can verify that I got the current price (after the 40%) for the cheaper cabin, a free upgrade, and then the 10% came off that price. In fact, the 10% wasn't applied until after the cruise. But mathematically it doesn't matter. Price x .6 x .9 is the same as Price x .9 x .6. Or 44% off overall.
  2. You can get a coffee pot - if there isn't one in your room, just ask your steward.
  3. It is 10% off the current fare, whatever it happens to be when you book. So it can be hundreds or thousands depending on the cruise/cabin category you choose to book. Don't know why an extra 10% (plus category upgrade) wouldn't always be considered a better deal. Has nothing to do with the fluctuating prices.
  4. There is no restriction to combine with other obc. Been discussed many times. The "restrictions" only have to do with people like TAs who are getting comped in some way by NCL for the cruise.
  5. My late Dec cruise has dropped significantly, over 1k - but also dropped triple points. I'm already Sapphire so think I'll take the money! I'm thinking after final payment credits will be pretty rare through the rest of 2022 with the change to 40% and the loss of the triple point promo.
  6. Just booked last week - still offering the 10% (plus upgrade), although they certainly didn't advertise it!
  7. Your PCC is telling you the truth. NCL implemented fairly strict guidelines for updates after final payment almost a year ago. Unless it has changed recently, you can't get any sort of adjustment unless ALL the perks on your sailing match. So if you took airfare for example you can't get an adjustment because the fare you see now doesn't reflect what you got when you booked. If you do happen to meet the criteria - which also means your cruise is longer than 5 days and it is more than 14 days out and the promos match - they will give you 100% fcc of the fare difference, to be used after your cruise. But that has nothing to do with re-pricing before final payment.
  8. NCL premium air is not the same as using the BOGO promotion. They will handle your airfare but you won't get a discount. You could use a travel agency and accomplish the same goal.
  9. Your best bet (assuming you are on the same reservation) is to plan to leave from the same location if you want to take advantage of the bogo airfare. There is no way to guarantee you'd be on the same flights otherwise. If there are no direct flights from Tampa, then book your MIL to Philly but keep in mind that just because there are direct flights doesn't mean that's what you will get. I use Google for basic flight info. If you have a credit card with travel benefits (Chase for example) that can be easy.
  10. 3% fee. But as a purchase, you get whatever points/rebate your card offers for travel purchases. If you have the NCL card, it's at least a wash - but also a good way to collect points toward an upgrade.
  11. Just a fyi - the train to Berlin is a charter by the cruise lines, so you get back to the ship. And I think the euro ticket only applies to local trains so business as usual on the high-speed ones. Train took about 2.5 hrs each way last week. But yes, Berlin in a day not really possible. And our tour guide talked really fast!
  12. As opposed to the same "exceptions" on the Azamara list LOL. I haven't counted but will be on the Star in August so no testing - works for me.
  13. I believe the NCL Bermuda cruises sail from the US so not really an exception.
  14. NCL already removed the testing requirement, effective August 1 - with noted exceptions being the US, Canada and Greece.
  15. A couple of thoughts, I was just on the Dawn, Stockholm to Copenhagen. 1. They were checking arrival times in Stockholm and asking people to wait until close to their specified time- this was about 10 am. 2. According to the Freestyle Daily, you could exchange for Euros and Swedish Krona at guest services. But I have no idea what exchange rate they were using.
  16. I'm with you on that one - I've told them soooo many times that it would be nice if they offered alternatives for those of us with allergies. I can't do the chocolate covered strawberries either.
  17. They should be listed under "extraordinary journeys' You can also go to cruisrmapper and check by ship when it changes location.
  18. Cruise ships arriving in Copenhagen dock at the Freeport Cruise Terminal, located in an industrial harbor and the cruise ship terminal Langelinie. (google search) I took the post-cruise excursion. Had a 5:30 flight, we got to the airport by about 2:30. Tour included city tour, shopping in the city center, and a 1hr canal tour - including the little mermaid.
  19. NCL uses the term connecting when there is an interior door connecting 2 adjacent rooms. An adjacent room may or may not have a connecting door. Adjoining simply means next to.
  20. Just off the Dawn, Stockholm to Copenhagen. Embarkation was crowded when I went, which is always going to be the case, not sure how people expect otherwise- it takes time to process people, no matter how organized and efficient. And they were checking arrival times and asking people to wait. We also had about 900 onboard, never any crowds in restaurants. Our entertainment was excellent, although the vocalist for 2 shows left when we did. No circus act for us, although there were aerialists in the final show (Elements), so perhaps they arrived during the cruise in preparation for the next cruise.
  21. Once you book an excursion for a specific port, you will no longer see any excursions that have conflicting times. Hence people will see different availability once they start booking. Not a good design (and I have told them so many times) but not a glitch either.
  22. As far as I know they do not hold excursion spaces- they would have no reason to do so, since excursions have to be paid in advance. But they might add an additional bus if they can, so additional spaces might open up. They do hold back dining reservations however
  23. The salesman basically quoted their policy- which is out the window these days because flights are a nightmare now, nobody can promise anything. NCL is at the mercy of the airlines just like anyone else and they do what they can. Sometimes the only option is a late flight. Speaking as someone who recently ended up with an overnight layover because my original flights got cancelled - fortunately I had a planned to arrive a day early, so made it to my cruise on time. And now sitting in the airport with a 6 hr delay on my way home, hoping the airline is planning to get everyone rebooked (that's what they are saying). Called NCL (they do answer, just takes a long time) and they offered to rebook but waiting for now to see what the airline does.
