  1. Thanks Keith, we were not sure if we had to clear security there or not. Glad to hear the lounge in 3 is great.Almost packed....see you in Marseille. Pat
  2. So happy that you and Anne Marie had an uneventful crossing, the best way. We depart tomorrow night on British Air and then transfer over to terminal 3 for our flight to Marseille on Sunday. Question Keith: in London, did you clear immigration/customs there? How was the lounge in Terminal 3, if you flew from there? See you both on Monday on the ship. 😄 Pat and Ray
  3. LOL, actually we are only a short drive to Niagara Falls.Ray and I are so looking forward to being back on the Serenity. Pat
  4. Ours arrived at 5:34 pm in Toronto Time... Now all our ducks are in a rowand we are in Happy land!! Cheers to all Pat and Ray
  5. I agree with you Keith, always have an emergency back up with us ..."just in case".
  6. You can remove this item as I finally found the photo. Pat
  7. Thank you Keith, yes it has been a long time. However saying this, we never gave up our trust on Crystal, especially after A&K Travel Group acquired us! I just finished viewing the restaurants and their sample menus...All I can say is WOW!! We are thrilled with the new designs but more importantly, the menus look fantastic and I can hardly wait to taste them all. Say hello to Anne Marie from us as well. Pat
  8. I had a photo of the pool guys taken with about 6 or 7 ,complete with their first name, I can't remember who had it, but it would have been on Cruise Critic or could have been on Facebook Clark, Brian, and maybe even Reg? I had it saved, however i no longer can find it. Hope someone still has it and wouldn't mind posting it again. Pat
  9. Received ours this morning as well. Our luggage tags and rest of documents will be sent from our TA in the next day or so. The ducks appear to be all in a row and we are all smiles. Cheers Pat and Ray
  10. I'm in agreement with you Keith! In just over two weeks we will be able to see for ourselves the New Crystal. First off, we will go to the Crystal Cove Bar and send a Salute up to our buddies who introduced us to cruising back in 1991.As we went through the Panama Canal, the Harmony( I think) was going the other way and Col.Dick Steimle said to us, "this Crystal Cruise Line is where we are going on in the near future" and so we finally made it in December 1995 on the Symphony, Sydney to Auckland. This was the start of all of us becoming "Crystalised". July 31,2023 will be the start of cruising on the New Crystal Cruise Line. May the forth coming cruises be as wonderful as all the other ones were! Cheers Pat and. Ray
  11. I only hope that they have new mattresses in the Aquamarine Classic An old mattress with an indented sway would be terrible in any of the cabins in my opinion and a foam rubber over the mattress doesn't make it either. We fly out in three weeks to Marseille.. "La vie est belle" Pat and Ray
  12. Thank you Keith for the quick reply. When we booked the Sofitel it had been listed as one of the Crytsal's hotels., I booked the Sofitel Vieux Port ...but I am also with Intercontinental. My agent has booked us at Sofitel but she doesn't speak a lot of French... We have excellent agents so we will leave everything up to them. Cheers, Pat
  13. Question: Did I read here that Crystal is NOT going to use the Sofitel Hotel, Vieux Port in Marseille. but another one along with the Intercontinental? If not, when will Crystal be posting their pre-hotels info? The Inaugural Cruise will be sailing in a month. We are going to need Airport transportation to the hotel . Has anyone booked a private ar? Thanks, Pat
  14. We are booked on the Inaugural Serenity, July 31 to Aug 12(last minute booking) and2024 los Angeles to Quebec City , Aug.27 to Sept.24,2024. Unfortunately, we had to cancel the first three segments of the 2024 WC Pat and Ray
  15. We also had our first Crystal Cruise back in 1995 and we were "Crystallized" . Now, after 28 years of cruising with Crystal, the ship has become our destination, just as it is suzeluvscruz. Cheers, Pat and Ray
  16. Way to go Keith! Having known you for many years, we will vouch for you and your integrity for telling the truth. Cheers, Pat and Ray
  17. Thanks for your rapid reply...The times...they are a changing!!! I can hardly wait to see what shore excursions will be like...I am having positive thoughts for them. Oh well, we can always just do private tours in the South Pacific and down under.
  18. Question: Did I read ( awhile back ) that even if you are booked in a Classic Penthouse , you will have to pay for any extra dinners in The Italian or the Nobu Restaraunts...also you will only be able to book in "cabin meals" from a printed menu? or from the Main dining room? My inquiring mind would like to know if anyone else read about this or am I just anxious to board the Serenity? Cheers, Pat
  19. Thank you GOARMY, I read the page 2. and wasn't aware of this thread. Since we will be boarding the Voyager in three weeks, it will be interesting to see if Regent is following the new 30 minute policy....I imagine it will be up to whoever the GM will be, to see if they are truly following through. We consider the ship as our destination and that is why we love to cruise instead of going to resorts.
  20. I would like to know why Regent doesn't handle the "Pool Chair Hogs". On our Caribbean B2B's in March 2022, it was so terrible that a fight took place. We had booked the same Caribbean B2B's for 2023, but cancelled it upon returning home. Then we booked the March 11-April 5 2023 Rio to Miami, hoping for the best. I also read that Carnival Cruise Line Cracks Down on Deck Chair Hogs on October 2022 https://cruiseradio.net/carnival-cruise-line-cracks-down-chair-hogs/ Perhaps Regent can do something similar, it is not fair to ask the pool persons to do it, BUT, it is up to the General Manager to inform them that you cannot place a pocketbooks and $.89 rubber flip flops on the lounges in early am and then not show up till late afternoon. All they have to do is Have a Sign at the Pool that the book, etc will be collected and left at the pool bar., after 1 hour. Will Regent please be pro-active in this and be the 5 star cruise line it is. Please be aware that I consider this a positive corrective criticism not a negative one. Thank, you
  21. The casino has a lot of floor space, perhaps one kitchen for two intimate dining restaurants with a hall space to access the Galaxy theater. I was thinking perhaps a French Bistro Type with Crepes? Then, during the evening dinner time up in the Market Place for a Steak and Seafood restaurant Or Vise versa...then again the Culinary Arts teaching kitchen would bring in money.
  22. Keith I am unable to view this website. It comes up as: Application error:a client-sie???? Any suggestions? You have my email. Pat
  23. Surprise, I agree with you. The regular cabins are small but there was more than sufficient drawers and closet size to accommodate us for longer cruises. For us, the ship was the destination and to be honest, it still is, regardless of what line(only Regent) that we cruise with .
  24. Sorry but I consider the new owners of the Crystal Brand and Crystal Ships to be high end business men who like to deal in high end products...not the mass marketing ships' categories. Look at their backgrounds. I don't think they are in the Gambling Group of owners like the previous owners. I am not expecting the return of Crystal to be 100% the same as before, but they have a pretty good idea of what we are looking forward to. Looking forward to Monday to see what the future will be like, one way or another, Guess I am a "cup half full" person.....except when it comes to gas tanks!
