I had a spa suite on Sunshine. All I got was a jar of scrub and a mitt. The second time I was on Sunshine, I waited to get my "unique welcome" and they said they were out of the spa gifts. Wha??! Shouldn't they have enough for every spa cabin?

Mardi Gras Review Good Bad and Ugly

Awesome!! I loved the muffuletta sandwich and the banana Foster crepes. I wish I would have eaten more meals there. Glad you enjoyed Mardi Gras! -
I get asked all the time about Carnival cruises, or cruising in general and like ShakeyBeef says, I like helping people. Having said that, incurring the wrath of Khan from some cruisers makes me think no as well.

Did you get a chance to try Emeril's? -
Shareholder Credit Proof Question

I have a TD Ameritrade account as well. Did you hover your cursor on My Account, then click on Statements, then click on the latest statement? -
Mardi Gras Review Good Bad and Ugly
ninjacat123 replied to Mary Louise's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Well I didn't want to leave it to chance (I have been on 6 Carnival cruises since the restart) and I also wanted to get my shareholder credit for both rooms, which I did. My cruises since the restart have always been in one cabin and this was the first cruise to have separate cabins. -

That's why DH and I (Platinum) are booked, one with a DD and one with the other DD, both who are not yet Platinum. That way we can board at the same time, then we will adjust who is in what room. I would think Carnival would let families board together but I didn't want to chance it since my DDs are 20 & 22 and are not children any longer. So they tell me😉 -
Horizon Southern Caribbean Review 8/20/22-8/28/22

It took a long time for the webs between my fingers and toes to go away.😁Medford/Grants Pass area is nice and sunny compared to Salem. If someone said you must live in Oregon, I would probably pick Bend because of the access to Bachelor and the weather is much more dry. Twenty years of gray skies can make a gal nuts!😎 -

And you said you would have chosen the boat ride to Oia instead of waiting for the cable cars, right? Cost about 30? -
I tried both on MG and the muffuletta was so good! My mom and I split it, it was that sizable. I had the Salumeria on a later day in our MG cruise and it was very good, I just couldn't it all of it. I also had the Bananas Foster crepes at Emeril's and it was delish! I wish I would have eaten more meals at Emeril's. Do try Big Chicken because their chicken sandwich is the bomb! Have a great cruise!

Horizon Southern Caribbean Review 8/20/22-8/28/22

Great review and thanks for taking the time to put it together! I grew up in Salem, Oregon. Are you near there? I hardly ever meet anyone from Oregon so this is a treat! -
I arrived a few minutes before the Spa tour was going to start and the spa staff asked if I wanted to be a model. I got a rejuvenating oxygen facial for about 2.5 hours. She didn't work on me the whole time, we chatted then when tours would come through, she would start the facial process again. It was fun and my face was so glowy! I went back on another day and tipped her.

DH and I are doing this cruise Oct 2023 so I'm really looking forward to reading about your trip. If you go to a restaurant when on excursion or before/after the cruise, please write down the restaurant's name in your review. Thanks and safe travels! -
Should I pay for a beach in Bimini or find a free one?
ninjacat123 replied to maxshuty's topic in Bahamas
You take the free tram at the pier and Resort World is a couple stops away. I booked tickets through Carnival as an excursion. You show the people running the tram your excursion tickets and you'll get a wrist band indicating you have paid for the excursion. I haven't been in the casino at RW but I read that it's not that exciting. And I looked for a souvenir and the little surf shop was limited in it's choices plus pretty pricey. Have a great cruise!! -

ninjacat123 replied to maxshuty's topic in Bahamas
Both times in Bimini, we did the "chairs and Umbrella with welcome drink" and didn't have access to the pools. I didn't notice the music very much from the pool area. Maybe we were far enough away. -

I would think so. Both my DH and I (late 50's) and my mom (mid 80's) enjoyed the access to water and the facilities. Service was friendly, though I was taking care of me and mom. When it was DH and me, DH was my pool boy😃 -
Unpopular Opinion: Formal Night Lobster Isn't That Good
ninjacat123 replied to workfromship's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
The best lobster I ever had was at my rehearsal dinner. We were at my in-law's backyard yard looking over Long Island Sound. A boil was set up and lobster, corn, potatoes were made to perfection! I was trying to fit into a big, white dress so I only had one. It was sooo good! -
My DH ordered a BLT from Room Service over our Labor Day cruise (still free) and when it arrived, he said "it has Turkey on it. I ordered a BLT" He ate it anyway.😉
