  1. If the people in the adjoining cabin(s) are noisy then you can hear them. Have had one noisy adjoining cabin and was moved (a mom with 2 young girls). Several regular cabins with occupants that were apparently deaf (TV at max volume) so you never know. Noise from a connecting cabin possibly a bit more noticeable but only slightly.
  2. The question was about the "corkage" fee for bringing extra bottles on board beyond the allowed two. It is a charge. Not really a corkage fee. The first 2 come on board free.
  3. Had great steaks there. Sadly Cruise Critic has become more and more a place for people to complain that things have gone downhill in service and food. The owner of Club 21 told me years ago that about .0005% of those who were happy wrote about their visit, but 20% of those that had a problem did so. And yes, things have changed since 2020.
  4. Definitely going to take a while with the billions in debt they now have. Return to normal? Do you think things will return to the way they were precovid? Time always marches forward except using the Professor's Way Back Machine in Back to the Future. We still enjoy cruising, don't complain about the changes except to ourselves and remind ourselves we were lucky to have the experiences we did. Not only cruising, but travel. Think about how many places you would not consider today! A bit sad.
  5. Charging is not an issue as the cords are plenty long. Turning a scooter around inside a standard cabin? I tried it and failed, but backing out was pretty easy. What was not easy is getting around the cabin. Truly awful. Would never suggest a standard cabin with a scooter.
  6. Far easier to sort on board. With anytime dining you really don't need reservations any longer
  7. The ports forum discusses Brisbane and options to the CBD.
  8. Your excursion booking is referenced to your info on the cruise ship. On a recent excursion those who were over age were denied access. Be glad you are not a bit older. Several European countries will not rent a car to those over 75!
  9. No. As said it is open play unless a tournament is scheduled On our last cruise there was rarely anyone there.
  10. Best to bring 2 and get two more on turnaround day. Also a heads up that you can buy duty free on board. Will be delivered last night of first cruise.
  11. Did cruise to Northern Norway. Solarium was always warm.
  12. Not sure exactly what you are asking. If you were trying to book a mini suite on deck 8 and they are not available; they are either booked or in a TA room block that could be in place until about 30 days before the cruise date. Impossible to know which. When is your cruise?
  13. Wouldn't two prong European sockets be 220V? Thus you would need a scooter that could handle 220V or an adapter plug and a voltage reducer. Seems unlikely that would be allowed as voltage reducers are a definite fire hazard.
  14. Not waterproof. Nylon is very crackle. DW refused to wear after trying it on in the shop.
  15. We asked on our upcoming 21 day cruise. No extra dining Benefits was what we were told
  16. Am confused by the OP question and definitely by the answers. I am assuming your kids (12 and 17?) are booked in an adjacent cabin to a Sky Suite. Boarding would be a non issue. Just arrive and board together. Cannot imagine anyone would not let you board together. Dining is the issue as unless you pay for them they cannot eat in Luminae. Thus if it was my family would be moving to different cabins that are in the same class. Lots of Verandas with inside across the hall or adjacent. 2 Aqua cabins would let you all eat in Blu. That would be my personal choice. Understand that all cabins from Veranda to Aqua are almost identical in size and Concierge IMO offers little incentive to book
  17. Clicked on Service Icon at the bottom of the first page.
  18. Why would you book on the FBC website? #1 using the airlines find your best fare and TERMS #2 call FBC and check their fare. Be sure to understand the terms as likely more restrictions.
  19. About 1000 less aboard. Rarely crowded. Love the M class ships.
  20. We have never been able to book specialty restaurants until about 30-45 days out. As for the MDRs. We usually simply wait until on board. Reserved a few nights. Most nights just showed up with short wait. Judging a ship by its first cruise is probably a bit unfair. Over 4 months and things will get lots smoother and more staff get on board.
  21. Could not follow your example. Would call as said. Need to make sure you questions are very clear.
  22. Welcome to Cruise Critic. Sorry but absolutely impossible to answer your question as it will vary on every cruise. If there are lots of unsold cabins then lower offers will be accepted. During holiday times ships tend to run full so no or few MoveUps accepted. I note that recently suites on most cruises have been reported as sold out - try a mock booking on a TA site - thus only vacancies would be a last minute cancelation. A mock booking can give you a guess at if suites are sold out Yes, you would have access to the Retreat. Also know those in the Captain's Club get bonus $ for their status.
  23. When you travel outside the US definitely check the requirements for each country you will visit. Rules are sometimes different for cruise passengers. On the Panama Canal cruise the requirements set by Colombia are clear. Everyone on the shop is required to have a passport with 6 months on the passport before renewal.
