  1. If you can make sense out of suite pricing, let the rest of us know. Supposedly supply and demand
  2. We simply made 2 bookings as the last poster suggested. 2 and 4 will work then once on board speak to the maitre d.
  3. From the Cays a passenger could be flown off depending on the weather. Sounds like urgent care rather than trauma. Am glad that the health of those on. board always is the first priority.
  4. Was always clear to me. Obviously a ship with 4 MDR locations is completely different than a ship with only one. Try Princess where twice we made reservations only to find out they were all canceled as they had anytime dining. Are you serious that services on every ship should be the same? How as some have 1900 passengers and others more than twice that number.
  5. ACT does a great job. If you have time book one that stops at the animal sanctuary. There is little of interest in Whittier. Little might be complimentary.
  6. Obviously your cabin will be ready early. Cannot imagine you won't all get to board together.
  7. Have booked 4 guarantees. Got one upgrade from a veranda to Aqua. Two were in nice locations in the same class. One looked mostly on the window washing equipment.
  8. Have had both the tasting menu and regular. Preferred the tasting menu. Suggest a sea day if you can get a reservation. Usually found going to Eden on boarding made getting a reservation easier if we were flexible time wise. Last, Welcome to Cruise Critic
  9. All food comments are definitely personal. My wife pretty much did not like the casual dining venues. I was happy with the buffet. Pretty much think you will need to try and see what meets your preferences. And I know this foes not answer your question.
  10. Why get it shipped charge or not? Pick it up at the pier. Takes less time to do that then walk to your mailbox. And no stress when it gets close to your cruise and the Medallion is not there.
  11. And when time do you leave port on Day 7? If that is at 6pm or earlier, then chic night just as likely to be then.
  12. The rest of the questions are what day of the week? Will you dock downtown at pier 91?
  13. Flights. Rules for no stress are simple. Fly in a day ahead and fly out the afternoon at the end of your cruise. Check prices with FBC and the airlines. And do understand that FBC does not own or fly airplanes. If There are delays they will do their best. But we watched a couple miss their cruise out of LA. FBC got them to their ship 5 days and three ports later via two flights and a 9 hour bus ride. 98% of the time works fine. People do not post about that. Again. where's your cruise? Where are you? Little or no reason to use FBC on domestic US flights. Overseas can offer savings.
  14. In Chile and Uruguay simply use your credit card or USDollars.
  15. Check out the rules for scooters in Bermuda. Your scooter would need to be insured in Bermuda. Just rent one there
  16. Turn off the water INSIDE. We leave outside water and have automatic drip watering. Amtrak works well. Just double check the schedule as arrivals and departures can be at any time. We also deinsure our vehicles and suspend the plates - they are paid. Save us about $1500 for the 5-6 months we travel each year.
  17. I get my hot chocolate in the buffet for free. Pick up packets of usually Nestlé Hot Cocoa mix next to the tea packets. If not available- ask. No need to get at a bar. And,yes they often run out so I bring packets from home.
  18. You need to check in first. That said, why bother? Always prefer not to worry about our medallion arriving in time so simply pick it it at the pier. Added about 30 seconds each time and no stress.
  19. Always amazes me that a couple will spend several thousand dollars on a cruise vacation and then smuggle liquor on board.
  20. The whiskey is adding during preparation with a bit more added as served. The second bit they will omit. The first is a tiny bit and adds body, but did not add a whiskey taste IMO
  21. Shore excursions have moved up some 40% in cost from an independent operator in Norway I used in 2020 and again in 2023. Costs are crazy from everything for insurance to food. Look carefully and try to put together a group. Independent operators are more likely to discount if you fill a van.
  22. Did a Google search and found several companies offering excursions. Also discussion at the port forum and web page on transportation.
  23. To the OP. Some details please. When is your cruise etc.
  24. On board ship the weather while cruising is often Cloudy, temp in 50s and obviously you will have a 20+kt wind. Have never had what I would call warm. In some dozen voyages only really rough and nasty once.
