  1. We think of the premium desserts as 1000 additional calories each. Have one occasionally. Our waitstaff has always been able to provide Gelato when asked when we were seated.
  2. Their post said "just booked". That certainly suggested within 24 hours
  3. Refundable OBC would be credited to the credit card you used to pay for your cruise if booked with Princess. If with a TA, the credit goes through them. Have never heard of a check being mailed.
  4. For RC, depends on the cruise. On TAs and TPs very quiet unless you sought out a loud venue. Almost no kids. We Don't pay to do anything much. Agree the Medallion is a giant yawner
  5. Exactly the same at the local movie theater. For me earplugs always.
  6. Nobody as you go thru security will know you are travelling solo
  7. One of the reasons I always use a TA. Let them handle it.
  8. There is time to get a passport. Original birth certificate is required and it will not work if your cruise stops in Martinique as Celebrity needs to provide a manifest with names and passport data for all on board.
  9. The products almost everywhere have increased in price. Try groceries! The simple facts are: Cruising has changed since Covid. The good old days are exactly that and are gone. Second, Celebrity and the rest are selling out. Supply and demand sets the price. Similar experiences at other lines are priced at equally high levels. DW and I have reduced our cruising and now book cruises looking at the itinerary, not just at Celebrity. Other lines all had things we found to be great and others where Celebrity still in our opinion do it better. The food, FWIW, has declined on Princess, Holland and Norwegian; but Celebrity probably a bit better in comparison
  10. The choices were pretty much back to normal on a Norway cruise last summer. Pasta station was operating. On a fall TA a bit less offered, but plenty of selections. Both pretty close to pre covid.
  11. The extra $$ has been the same for I think years for booking on board. It is the rest of the deals that change often.
  12. Seems your luggage is the issue. Agree storing it at the hotel a great idea. After noon checking in will go really fast. You need to remember it is closed on Tuesdays. If that won't work simply drop your luggage at the pier and go to the museum. Check-in later.
  13. I didn't say US citizens have a right to fly the US from other countries. Was another poster. There are several rules that could prevent a person from flying.
  14. The need to prove, however, they are US citizens. The US accepts a Federal compliant photo ID. Note many driver's licenses are not compliant. Mine says clearly- NOT FOR FEDERAL ID. Not having appropriate ID might cause a hassle. Get sick and disembark you cannot fly without a passport. Long drive to the US
  15. Am always amazed that people go on a cruise to relax. A charging pad handles 2 phones. A couple tablets on USBs. Then your waterpik, shaver, beard trimmer and a couple other appliances. Really? Do they all need to be charged at the same time? Crazy. I use a USB cord that will charge 3 devices on the one cord. Nothing else "needed".
  16. Interesting. Lots of complaints about the suite prices, but people continue to pay the $$ and suites are usually the first to sell out. Supply and demand is winning. If people stopped booking suites at what I think are crazy high prices then the prices would drop. Also cruising has changed since 2019. Not likely to return.
  17. The reason I use a TA or transfer my booking to her.
  18. Really simple. If calm or moderate seas then few to no creaking noises. If rough then creaking and banging from rough seas. Noises fore and aft tend to be slightly louder if (and only if) it is very rough.
  19. Wifi has less bandwidth once you get about 200-300 miles from land. Reason is fewer users. Thus at busy times such as 9am or before cocktail hour the speeds will likely be slower. The system does not fail. Just remember streaming might be a problem. Also know location on the ship very important. The closer to the Hotspot the faster the speed, just like at home.
  20. I was not able to use the app until after I boarded using my Galaxy A52. Everything I needed to do simply made a list and called Princess.
  21. Few younger kids on Celebrity unless a Christmas cruise. Lots of older in Alaska. I would cruise with RCCL or Disney. Kid Club nice but there will be few playmates and as Said the 1 year old will be with you 24/7.
