  1. Same thing in Fort Lauderdale. Bars are open but sales tax was added to drink prices.
  2. Also love posts where rumors are started. CC has deteriorated into a gripe fest. Two things are true - the old time posters do not like change (me included). And things are not likely to return to the way they were.
  3. The Ports section has lots of suggestions for Ravenna and Venice. Also check out your Roll Call as sharing a ride is what we did.
  4. Do they show on the app or your booking? How did you pay for the excursions? If they were cancelled and you paid with a credit card you should have received a credit. If paid with OBC that amount should be added back to your OBC. An excursion that doesn't show up on the excursion list is either fully booked or cancelled. No way to tell. I would think they are both fully booked. Many excursions on our cruise are sold out. Both that we booked no longer show up because they are sold out.
  5. I respectfully disagree. No reason to print the luggage tags. They will tag them at the pier. FWIW I write my cabin number on a once of masking tape and stick it to my bag. Always arrived fast.
  6. Disembarking in Boston is fast and easy for US citizens. Non US takes longer. Bags would need to be checked by 9am or there about. The rule for flying should be if you need to ask you don't have enough time. Got to be another flight that you KNOW you can make.. . . And your flight might be changed again . . and again.
  7. Very common in Europe. Should be easy. If the bartender doesn't know how to make it then tell them how - when it is not busy.
  8. I logged in and saw a new Captain's Club number with 1 cruise. DW got an error message. Both on the website. On the app my information is correct. Obviously Princess and HAL are working with Celebrity as Princess shows all zeros and HAL doesn't even show our upcoming cruise. Will sort it on board if necessary.
  9. Cafe al Bacio has Forte. Bigelow or no name tea in buffet and MDR.
  10. We had a private tour in the Falklands a few years ago. Several of us that were Elite coordinated with the Captain's Club rrp to obtain priority tickets for the group. It took a bit of patience, tact and a discussion that began just after boarding. FWIW our group was about 25 and 2/3 were Elite.
  11. Bo - there are lots of regular people at those restaurants. I try to visit one a year to experience a magnificent meal. What is sad is the clientele is much the same, but the attire with to sloppy just before covid along with civility. Covid has simply accelerated the decline. I would in middle management many years ago before moving to teaching. More satisfying.
  12. Open the closet. Leave things hanging. Toss everything else in a suitcase on the bed. Last time we changed cabins the procedure took less time that the 15 minutes to read this thread. Have never had to leave the cruise terminal. Usually stayed on board. Just checked out with our old sea pass, walked to customs and immigration (if required) and then either went into town or immediately checked back in with our new seapass
  13. Menus change daily and are very similar across the fleet. SmMany posts here or easiest to Google Celebrity dinner menus. You can get a fixed time to dine after you board or simply pick a time each night. In the MDR if you have a fixed time we simply let our waiter know we will not be there on a given night. If dine my way - they won't know if you eat elsewhere. Guessing "it" is dinner - usually 5:30. Tends to be busy till about 7pm We like the food in the MDR. Not as good as pre Covid on a recent cruise but both service and food were better than Princess recently.
  14. And unless on an M class ship we do not sail concierge. Are Elite+ so extra Captain's Club points are not useful. The other perks are mostly covered by our status or not important to us. Different everyone.
  15. All sorts of strange pricing on the website. If you can figure out the marketing strategy for Celebrity let everyone else know.
  16. Every cabin on every X ship has a mini "fridge". It will not keep anything cold. The charge is if you consume the items in the fridge. We usually ask our attendant to remove them. You will get an invitation to the lunch giving the exact location. Apex and others have multiple dining rooms.
  17. It is not included on APEX. Sorry. Only on the older ships.
  18. Am sorry you are upset about the post. Seems sad to spend so much energy on whether one can wear shorts to the MDR for dinner. Cruising and thing things that made cruising special are rapidly going away. If all the long time cruisers that post (and lurk) here go away the Celebrity can save all that free laundry and have younger people who are happy with doing whatever they like.
  19. Where is your cruise and how many days? There is a great kids club. Details on the website. Alaska and Caribbean 7 day cruises will have kids. Longer cruises and Mediterranean journeys very few. Had 4 on our last TA. 6 on an Antarctic cruise out of Buenos Aires.
  20. You can't because of set sides and cabins held in TA room blocks until maybe a month before sailing. At that time you can go to several websites and count the unbooked cabins.
  21. Would suggest there are always set asides. There are all sorts of issues that would make a cabin not usable from plumbing and electrical to ?? These cabins are in the area of 10. There are also a small percentage of both last minute cancelations and no shows. On a recent Princess cruise there were 6 cabins set aside for covid out of 1500. Ship was at 96% of maximum bed numbers.
  22. Easy work around. Order a coffee and separately order a shot of whatever. Again coffee with alcohol is only a couple of $ extra.
  23. If you use MoveUp you need to be happy with whatever cabin is assigned. You get moved to whatever cabin is available in the new category. If often is from a cancelation and thus could be anything. If you are in an inside or OV cabin it can be great. Same to a suite. If you are picky about cabin location or happy with the cabin you booked then it is not for you. Since most MoveUps are within three days of your sailing hard to change cabins in that situation
  24. You can print them in color, black, blue or any other color. As Jim said easier to simply get them tagged at the pier. Last cruise was actually faster as their was a line waiting to have porters load bags. Also suggest a piece of masking tspe with your cabin number on your bags. Lots of tags tear off and buying special holders . . . .
