  1. Assuming your question is real. Any Walgreens or CVS along with about 50 proctoring services, any urgent or emergency room if you tell them you have symptoms.
  2. Pretty much laundries are being phased out. HAL used to have them on all ships. No new laundries. Having 2 more cabins makes more revenue. Bring your own clothesline or pay Celebrity
  3. There are a total of 4 docking spaces. One has always been used for freight and a second ferries. The "harbor" within a mile is massive but then you lose one of the docking slots unless they can sort it with Alaska Ferries.
  4. Last time Europe sold mouthwash, shampoo, sunblock etc or you both get a 1qt baggies with 3.4oz bottles (100ml). We wear our walking shoes and bring a pair of dressy sandals. Haven't worn dress shoes in years.
  5. On the Celebrity website. Under alcohol policy.
  6. Rich - I hope you now understand. If you do not have a beverage package there is a corkage fee. This CHANGED about a month ago. With almost everyone having AI it has little effect today. With cruise only fares it will effect those.
  7. You can check you both in. Just need the info for both/all.
  8. Suggest you read the new policy. It recently changed. The change is under FAQ before your cruise under alcohol policy. Corkage fee if no beverage package. Doesn't matter where you drink.
  9. That would have me on the outside deck leaning over the rail losing my gin kale smoothie
  10. Thank you for a good laugh. If I call Susan she either doesn't hear it ring or doesn't have it with her. On board - carry my phone around all day? Really? Why? Seems setting up a place and time to meet always worked. However you could clip an Apple tag on Iain's belt and locate him that way.
  11. Rich - there are all sorts of insurance and different companies handle things differently. Overseas mine asks for a notification if hospitalized. They then reviewed our $$ responsibility and had an outside firm get it touch with the hospital and my wife asking about necessary arrangements. We told then what we wanted and they put it in place. Easy and prompt service and this is a Medicare Advantage PPO. And yes there was a large deductible before their coverage kicked in.
  12. They had a significant breakout in Australia. Over 100 cases quoted in Aussie news. Not even reported here. Think the media is tried of reporting on covid.
  13. Agree that one should not plan on Celebrity offering covid tests at the port. A chemist or proctored test plan would be a good idea as the rules change often.
  14. One more time. You can bring 2 bottles of wine on board in your carryon stuff. If you do not have a beverage package there is a corkage fee to bring it on board. This is a change in policy.
  15. Some 20% of Captain's Club members prefer the M class ships over the others simply because they are smaller. They also have easier access as there are elevators fore, aft AND midship. Really handy. As for Infinity the spent a few million on cosmetic redos and lots of carpet.
  16. The photo of your NHS paper is exactly what you use. Do not understand what a precruise at checkin would be. Lots of discussion about vaccination rules going away. Remember that the rules are not only from the cruiselines, but countries and ports. Every port would need to need to allow in guests without testing. Your unvaccinated comment is different from testing. Thus for unvaccinated to sail both the cruiseline and all ports would need to allow it. Not sure that us what you meant
  17. Depends on future cruises as to the number of covid cases. Are they masked today - a few. Tomorrow- ask my Magic 8 Ball.
  18. Years ago there are a promotion that offered a $250 OBC to residents of Arizona. We booked 2 cabins with friends. Ladies in one cabin and men in the other. Simply switched once on board. Not hard to do the same with names on a reservation; especially with 2 or more cabins.
  19. I see you are new to Cruise Critic. The cost to upgrade is $15 per day with discounts available to Captain's Club members and various promotions. Those discounts vary greatly depending on your cruise package. You need to do a mock booking or call your TA. Our last cruise my package included the upgrade.
  20. Was told by my old boss - now VP for Alaska Airlines - to tape a sticky note with contact info for your destination including dates and phone number. We use clear packing tape. Put info on inside of the sticky. On the outside write "contact details" and "itinerary inside". Have had bags reach us 2 ports downline, at our hotel or if traveling by car to multiple cities had then awaiting our arrival - the hotel texted us they were there - 3 days later. Absolutely positively put a full itinerary on a sheet inside your case.
  21. Tapatalk is a voice software that was banned from the Google App Store about 2 years ago for security issues. Suggest you delete it.
  22. Waiting in line on boarding for a couple hours for the remote chance I would be upgraded? Nope. Lots better to book a cabin you are happy with and see if you get a MoveUp accepted. If not for me time to MoveOn.
  23. Disagree. Jennifer responds to her emails. The poster suggested sending directly to her. I have gotten a response every time within 72 hours. And yes, my message is clear, concise and just the facts.
  24. ANY government approved test can be proctored iHealth tests are fine, just pack carefully. You can also get them at Costco or any grocery store pharmacy. My Medicare Advantage insurance would pay for 8 tests at any of those places. The proctoring company has no idea where you are. Just get a strong WiFi signal so it doesn't drop. Iceland FYI has better phone coverage than the US and my rental car has WiFi Hotspot! Relax. It will be fine.
