  1. Once you buy a digital copy, then you get an option to have them printed for 4.99. (Based on Horizon 12/31/23 cruise)
  2. Effy is their premier jewelry brand. Most items run in the mid hundreds to thousands of dollars. For example, I stopped by their clearance promo on the last sea day at 60% off. A simple blue and white diamond pendant after the discount was still $650! No thanks! Some items are very elegant but I'd rather spend it on another cruise fare.
  3. Yep. Got fooled with that offer once and poured that stuff down the sink drain. Conundrum by Caymus is a good option for a white wine at 50% off. For red, I loke Tri County Cherry Pie. We're not wine snobs, so not looking for a 10/10, but that free wine is barely a 1 IMO.
  4. Here is a fairly recent link to which shows are on which ship, courtesy of Saint Greg. https://www.saintgregtravel.com/playlist-productions/
  5. First time MSC'er here, having always cruised Carnival and RCI so decided ot was time to try MSC and NCL in 2024. We are booked for the Fall but there's only one excursion posted (of 4 total ports) and it is a combined experience of an activity at two of the ports. It seems like a package ... a book both or neither scenario. Is this the way MSC always runs excursions? Combining ports with fixed combos? And how soon will others get posted? I can already see 2025 options on other bookings with Carnival. Just looking for info! Thanks!
  6. 149 for 8 days on sister ship Panorama, per person.
  7. No the OP is correct. See the photo? Its marked as a Sea Day excursion but it goes on the list as the home port day because Sea Days don't have an excursion list. Once you click on it then it goes to correct day at Sea.
  8. Horizon had Deep Sky last week. Also Wonka and Aquaman and a few other documentary options. I love IMAX at sea. It is something unique!
  9. I booked two cruises last summer for 2024 using a Casino promo that came w $500 OBC. It was only good for 2 bookings because after I booked the second one the promo disappeared from My Offers even though it hadn't reached the promo expiration date but that date has passed by now anyway. Now, I'd like to move cabins from regular Balcony to Havana Aft balcony or a suite. Here's my Question -- Can I change cabins and still keep it under that promo? I don't want to lose the $500 OBC! I thought I could but when I called and asked to switch cabins (not ship or sail date) the rep said No. I tried to point out I was offering to pay MORE for a cabin - LOL - but she cut me off. It is a casino promo. Anyone have other experience with this? Bad Rep Advice or Accurate? Thanks!
  10. We will be docked until well into the evening. Planning to do an excursion marked as a five hour tour that begins at 9. Anyone who has been to PV and can comment on efficiency of schedule? I'd also like to do the Rhythms of the Night but it starts at 315 as posted time. Technically one should be back by 2 to start the next one at 315. But is that "do-able""? We've done dual tours in other ports but Idk how well the excursions function in PV. Would it be too tight? Does 9 a.m. start really mean 9 a.m. and 5 hours really mean 5 hours ... Or is it like the Southern saying "fixin' to get ready" at 9 am and ending is the "whenever we're done" time? 😀 Alternatively how is the public beach in the Hotel Zone near the cruise port for evening entertainment?
  11. So sorry to hear of his passing. Thank you for reaching out to us here on CC to let his online friends know.
  12. B2B on the Sunrise last December over NYE and the following cruise. We gathered in the dining room and disembarked as a group -- maybe 12 or 15 ppl -- went straight thru customs, turned around and reboarded in 20 minutes flat. They took us straight to the Atrium Bar where we were plied with bottomless mimosas until we were ready to take a nap, went to the room and found a little surprise gift waiting for us. A very nice experience for first time B2Bers.
  13. Donkey -- on Horizon in 2021 and 2022. Unfortunately I cant tell the story because WHAT HAPPENS AT QUEST, STAYS AY QUEST! Can't recall which of the sailings but its burned in my memory forever!
  14. Uncle Johnny does it on Glory ... did it in July!
  15. YES!! I had the lobster mac n cheese too!!
  16. Sailed Celebration but not the MG. If there is a Rudi's on MG, I seriously recommend it. We usually have one night at the steakhouse where we tend to get the same meal every time -- and consider it as good as our local restaurants like Jeff Rubys -- but Rudi's on Celebration set a new standard. It was FABULOUS. And probably the favorite of my "new" things on an Excel ship.
  17. No luck on the cards. I occasionally buy a few and I believe I may have won 5 or 10 bucks but obviously nothing memorable. The second chance drawing is on the last night usually at 11 pm and cards are drawn (matbe 3?) for a chance to spin the wheel. I did get lucky once and was a lucky draw. I think I won 75 or maybe 125 on the spin which went on the Sign and Sail balance. All in good fun.
  18. On the Dream, pre-Covid, I believe it was 40 for a Day Pass.
  19. 8331 is probably the better choice. Its between 2 floors with cabins only so you are insulated from noise. Its also easy to go up and down to various activities from decks 7 or 8. Deck 2 is below the restaurants and galley so may have some overhead noise. We've sailed on Deck 8 on Horizon and enjoyed the balcony. The Cove balcony on 2 will put you closer to the water though and I think those balconies typically cost a bit less.
  20. We have cruised with our children wen they were at various ages. Any ship will be magical to them! Carnival had great kids clubs and activities all the way up to the teenage years. Send them! Our kids loved making new friends. Go with Miami for less stress. Its so close to the airport and hotels. Horizon has the sky ride and Imax and ropes course. MG does not have a theatre indoors. We've sailed both classes and have two booked back on Horizon. I didn't care that much for Excel layout. That said, the Sunrise is smaller, although you didn't include it, still has a lot of things for kids and is probably easier to get around. We've sailed it 3x. The older In laws might like it better for getting around but Horizon is IMO the best one overall.
  21. Have you looked on cruisedeckplans? There are actual photos/videos of cabins nearby so you could see if there's a pattern to the layout.
  22. Reviving this post! We are booked in a Deck 9 aft in a few months (for the shade!) and I'm getting concerned about possible sleep issues from vibrations. Looked to keep Havana access by upgrading to Grand Suite midship but they are sold out that week. Did you notice much vibration in this cabin while traveling? I know there will be some when docking or leaving but my worry is related to being able to sleep! Thanks!
  23. Are these changes the reason Carnival doesnt have any more partial transits listed after 2024? We were looking at 2025 but its all full transits or port in Colon. I didn't find any more Partial Transits of the 7 or 8 day variety but couldn't figure out why they would drop those.
  24. Looking to make a reservation but the seating is listed in 15 min increments. Is that a glitch? I thought the hibachi grill only offered 2 or 3 seatings each night. Making sure before I choose a time that isn't really correct.
  25. Carnival has always listed the cruises as either partial or full transit. All the new listings have changed (2024 forward) to showing Colon and Limon with excursions. Is that different? Are there no more partial transits where the ship will go into Gatun Lake? (Also posted on that board). Thanks!
