  1. The current FAQ (https://www.celebritycruises.com/faqs/before-you-board) says this under What is Celebrity Cruises’ Alcohol Policy?: Guests are not permitted to bring alcoholic beverages onboard; with the exception of embarkation day when each guests are permitted to bring onboard with them up to two (2) bottles of wine (which are subject to a corkage fee) per guest. A corkage fee does not apply to guests with the Classic Beverage Package or Premium Beverage Package.
  2. I had silence and black screen. Had to reload from the link. It worked then froze again.
  3. I am so sorry for your loss. My condolences. I always enjoyed his posts.
  4. Unfortunately, they have 2 sets of FAQ's and they haven't yet updated one of them. Here https://www.celebritycruises.com/faqs/all-faqs#always-included they say If a guest books their cruise with Always Included package pricing and would like to upgrade their Classic Beverage Package to the Premium Beverage Package, they may do so via our Cruise Planner platform once their booking is within final payment. The upgrade charge will be $12 per person per day which includes the beverage gratuity. Guests may not purchase a beverage upgrade before final payment when they book Always Included. Alternatively, guests may also upgrade their beverage package from Classic to Premium once onboard the ship. And here https://www.celebritycruises.com/faqs/always-included they say what you quoted. So it's $12 in one place, $18 in another. I think it's clear what they want, they just aren't great at keeping the web site consistent.
  5. I don't think everyone in the cabin has to upgrade their drink package. Certainly DW upgraded to premium while I stuck with the soda package on a previous cruise. Upgrading from AI to Elevate or Indulge requires everyone in the cabin to upgrade, but simply upgrading the drinks package can be done separately in my experience.
  6. The FAQ says it's 2 bottles per guest. (https://www.celebritycruises.com/faqs/all-faqs#before-you-board) And there's no corkage fee if you have the classic or premium beverage package. Both of those are not what I remember. Maybe they've changed recently? What is Celebrity Cruises’ Alcohol Policy? Celebrity Cruises® guests are expected to be responsible for their actions at all times, including during transfers to and from ships, inside terminals, while onboard, at our ports of call, during shore excursions and at our private destinations. Consuming alcohol to excess impairs one's judgment and reduces one's ability to recognize and avoid potentially dangerous situations. Guests who choose to consume alcohol must do so responsibly. The ship's staff may refuse to serve alcoholic beverages to any guest who does not consume alcohol responsibly, including those who have purchased an all-inclusive beverage package. Ship's personnel may request verification of a guest's age to verify they are of age to consume alcohol pursuant to this policy. Any guest that violates this alcohol policy will be considered for disciplinary action pursuant to the "Consequences Section" of this Guest Conduct Policy, and may lose their privileges to use areas or facilities of the ship. Guests are not permitted to bring alcoholic beverages onboard; with the exception of embarkation day when each guests are permitted to bring onboard with them up to two (2) bottles of wine (which are subject to a corkage fee) per guests. A corkage fee does not apply to guests with the Classic Beverage Package or Premium Beverage Package. Security may inspect containers (including water bottles, soda bottles, mouthwash, canteens, etc.) at any time and will dispose of alcohol concealed in such containers. Alcoholic beverages that are purchased from onboard shops or in ports of call (which must be presented to security upon re-boarding), will be secured by ship's personnel. Alcohol secured by ship's personnel will be returned to guests just prior to the conclusion of their cruise vacation. Guests who are under the permitted drinking age will not have alcohol returned to them.
  7. My wife and I discussed the same scenario related to our upcoming December cruise. We decided it would be better to have a cruise on hold for health concerns rather than putting health on hold for cruise concerns. So I got my booster about 3 weeks ago (she is not yet eligible for the second booster). One week later she caught COVID. I have not tested positive or had any symptoms. I credit the booster for this. She is feeling much better now but we are quite happy that we were not both sick with COVID. If I am eligible for another booster before the cruise, I will happily get it.
  8. That is an excellent question. The FAQ pointed to in post #29 above suggests you are correct: Q: Is the NO PERK rate code applicable to Future Cruise bookings make onboard and combinable with the Future Cruise onboard credit (OBC) ? A: Yes, your clients or you may make a Future Cruise booking onboard the ship and request the NO PERK rate code in addition to the OBC.
  9. I received an email announcing Celebrity's new cruise-only rates: Not available online ... so there's apparently no way to know if your cruise will offer these rates? And it won't be easy to compare prices without the phone call.
  10. Looking at Celebrity's current promotions, Simply Sail seems to have disappeared. Not only does it not appear with promotions, it seems to have been scrubbed from the Always Included FAQ, which used to have this: Q: What is Simply Sail? When is it available? A: Simply Sail will offer a cruise-only rate for select sailings within 90 days of departure. Simply Sail will replace Exciting Deals with a new creative look and feel but maintain the same offering parameters. This was the only option (not necessarily a good option) for those not wanting Always Included or those who's Captain's Club benefits already covered their drinks, etc. Is it gone or am I just looking in all the wrong places?
