  1. Happy New Year to Dani and all her friends here on CC. Quiet night here for us. Went put earlier for happy hour but will be an early night as Jim is golfing in a charity tournament in the morning. Wishing health and happiness to all in 2024 πŸ₯‚πŸŽ‰.
  2. This is my issue, I am fine with fitting clothes but when you start with toiletries I want to bring, a checked bag is a must. Suitcase goes under the bed and dirty clothes go in there during the trip. Everything else fits nicely in the cabin. The only time we found an over the door hanger helpful was when there were more than 2 of us. As others have said no right or wrong way just what works best for each of us. If the person traveling is fine with their bags and can control them without infringing on others who cares. I am not staying in their cabin but mine.
  3. Our kids left this morning, 3 loads done, of course they are all in a pile on the bed in spare room. Enjoying the silence for today, nice to my hoyse back, will miss them tomorrow. For those watching Glitch on Netflix, which one? There is a 2109 and 2022 series with that name. Missed it if mentioned before.
  4. Saw that, laughed to myself. It's only a few weeks in and they must be on the full cruise if using the machines. Long time to go yet. Will be very interesting to see how people fair on the cruise.
  5. Saw a similar post yesterday, wonder if they are slowing things down knowing people cancel and rebook a lot. Theirs eventually did clear.
  6. We watched that a month or so ago, good but disturbing. Took us a bit to get into. Watched this one as well. We thought we done but haven't read the book to compare.
  7. Wishing all here a wonderful Christmas. Playing a bitt of catch up, grandkids have been here since Friday. Spent Christmas eve at my sister in laws with most DHs family. A bit quieter today as the kids are busy with all their new things.
  8. Happy Birthday Linda πŸ₯‚πŸŽ‰πŸŽ Very touching comments from your son, I am sure he appreciates all you and Linda have done for him. Isn't it great when they surprise you like that makes it all worth it. Hopefully you both can enjoy your holidays without too much pain. Take it easy this year.
  9. A picture that was on a local page after the storm went through here. This homeowner has it figured out, kinda. The area they are in floods with any heavy rain.
  10. These were the last of 10 I made, these took about 2 recorded Hallmark movies total so 4 hours for the 2, the first ones definitely took much longer. Stay safe, we had that weather yesterday. Never lost power but did have a tornado touch down about 10 miles south. Every device possible wrnt off with a warning. No needle required, they are squares of fabric pinned onto a Styrofoam ball. About 200 pins in each one!
  11. Finished my last 2 ornaments for this year today while it downpoured outside. These were the fanciest I did. For anyone interested check out Ornament Girl. She has many different patterns, most of which you need to buy, but this was a free one I got to try them out. May buy one for next year not hard to do once you get the hang of them.
  12. Oh my what a start, hoping it got better the 1st week but not sure from what you've said. Also hoping your 2nd week is a peaceful relaxing one. Following along
  13. Appreciate anything you are able to share but of course your enjoyment comes first. Safe travels, enjoy!
  14. Almost finished with ornaments I am making for the ladies I play mahjongg with. Had to order the red fabric, had hoped the tiles would be a bit smaller print sp you could see more. Oh well. Still have a few more non mahjongg ones to make but have more time for those.
  15. We can't both fly, our house in PA is in a very rural area so need a car, besides DH brings various tools back and forth in case needed along with various linens I take back and forth, no washing machine there so need to beung them all back to wash. Basically too much crap goes back and forth to fly. It is usually between a 10 and 11 hour drive. I download shows to my tablet to keep me occupied. We did that once, I think 86 for the big staue of liberty celebration, told my husband never again. Yes it was beautiful show but I am not a crowds person.
  16. My husband knows every place to stop between SC and PA, times his breaks accordingly. We tried a new route on one of our recent trips, completely threw him off on bathroom stops.
  17. The tree in the last picture was in the bathtub, couldn’t believe it, first thing you saw coming into the bath. We had something similar in our area in NJ but never went. This was my first year attending, figuring out how to get to all of them next year.
  18. I have recently joined a local woman's group and one of their big fundraisers is a parade of homes where local residents decorate for the holidays and others buy tickets to tour those homes. I "worked" at one of the homes last night, making sure people behaved and only went to certain areas. Since I was working didn't get to see most of the other homes but here are a few pics from where I was and one of the others. From what I've seen where I was has the best decorations. The dining area The main living area Master Outside pool I did make it to another home in the same neighborhood I was in, beautiful home nicely decorated but pictures don't do it justice other than these 2 Master closet In the master bath, he he he
