The double shake is really only necessary with the egg whites. I believe the original recipe didn't include egg whites so Viking is serving up an OG cocktail 😋

Will be interesting if they include the egg white and if they do a double shake, 1st wet, strain back and shake again dry (without ice). I feel it is a proper shake that makes the drink.

As I understand it, the Apple AirTags only report when the battery is low. I have Samsung Smart Tags and they report a battery status in percent left. Most say the AirTag "Low Battery" warning is fairly conservative and not a notice of impending doom. 😊

It comes up in the app on my phone. Each tag reports its own battery status. I do check that everything is working and that the battery is good to go when I'm getting ready to put them into the suitcases.

I have taken up removing my batteries when we have a large lull between trips. I will also spring for new batteries if the battery level is less than 50%. Well worth the peace of mind. Completely agree with keeping and carrying replacement batteries with you. 👌

The only downside to the cabins situated near the elevators/stairs like cabin 6063 is will be when you open your cabin door those gathered outside can see right in. This seems to bother some. 😜 Noise typically isn't a problem.

In the Asian market I suspect "easy to find" won't be the issue as much as the selection and the cost will be. My thoughts go straight to buying liquor in Norway. Not hard to find but quite costly once found.

One would hope that a true service dog would not be prone to such undisciplined/untrained behavior. I have no reservations with the presence of true working service dogs on board supporting their human. These "Support Animals" we are hearing about is an entirely different thing and IMHO, a recipe for nothing but trouble.

My better half believes they had all three colors (pink, yellow & blue) on our January cruise on the Venus. The package colors were the same but not the branding. I'm old, drink and done alot of drugs in my youth. I may be totally wrong! 😁

On past cruises Viking made excursions available to the Lukács Baths. We have been to these baths on our own and found them to be very nice and reasonably priced. Not as famous or iconic as the Gellért or Széchenyi spas but not as busy either. Many locals will be found here.

For what it's worth thesedays. May weather in and around Porto Portugal is typically mild with an average high in the high 60s / low 70s. Towards the end of the month you could see temps reaching the 80s but this is not typically.

As I suspect what has impacted Viking has also impacted all the other companies in the same market, or even those that claim to be more up market, I wonder where exactly one plans to go to escape these current shortcomings? What cruise lines exactly? I suspect it is safe to say... XYZ cruise line isn't what it was before the Pandemic and one can only hope they are making every effort to restore their previous standards and quality of service. While it always appears so, the grass is seldom actually greener on the other side of the fence.

With or without flip-flops, if we can tell you are wearing a thong... you might not be appropriately dressed. 🙃
