  1. I'm still getting emails and snail mails for players club. Now that we can book online all cruises under 20 days show free inside for me. This could change when the promotional period is up. Don't know when that is. I've booked Hearts and Ultimate Hearts in Jan and May straight from the email links. I'm leery to book those cruises from the website as it may randomly pick another promotion. For those that are booked on these make sure that your free play shows vip in the travel summary. Some people are finding out that they have been booked under another promotion and cannot get it rectified once onboard. I have 3 more that I can book that expire in Dec. Hopefully more will come.
  2. So sorry. I hope you both get balcony cabins and more free play from your post cruise offers. This trend leaves me with a dilemma. Should I book all my offers now while I still can for inside and no to very little FP or wait and see how I do on the ultimate cruise. After all, I just might get lucky and pick the 1500 FP card and win some JP's. Recent posts on FB are reporting points as high as 28,000 and nada offers. Not even FP. Ships are now filling up and this looks like a supply and demand issue.

  4. That is true. Casino hosts have no authority to comp. They get a list from corporate the day before the last day of the cruise. So if you play on the last day the points do not count. Several people are now stating that they are only getting free play and no comped cabins. I hope this isn't going to be a trend. I hope you are able to get some answers. However, you got that Prestige offer so I think that more nice offers are coming your way. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a mini suite, PP and 1500 FP. The offers after the cruise tend to be better than what you get on board. I am pleasantly surprised that I got the Ultimate Hearts offer. I'm a minnow and only have gotten offers for inside rooms with 250 FP. I reached 6000 points last cruise and was disappointed that I did not get a balcony. A year ago it would have happened.
  5. If you don't start receiving offers for mini suites and 1500 FP, I would call the casino. People are still reporting 20,000 and above getting mini suites and 11,000 Balconies.
  6. Somebody posted on the FB group that they just got off the Regal yesterday with 12,000 points and received a CB offer for free balcony and 600 FP. It's so frustrating that there is no uniformity or transparency with the casino.
  7. I researched Diamonds on the FB group and it's different from Prestige. They put you up in a hotel in Fort Lauderdale and there is a party where you meet the Princess execs. The hotel was the airport Hilton for the last group so not too fancy. The party was there also. You get a gift delivered to your cabin every night and a few other perks. Might be worth calling a PVP to find out all the perks. It's supposed to be only for the high rollers.
  8. I did get a Hearts and Ultimate Hearts VIP cruise. Booked the Hearts and looking to book the Ultimate Hearts. I never heard of diamonds. Is that a Prestige Cruise? It really stinks that 21k only netted you a balcony. That used to be a mini suite, PP and 1500 FP. I think that you will get better offers in the mail and email. Hopefully a mini suite with better perks.
  9. Mine didn't show up for 3 weeks. They extended the expiration date. I called the casino number.
  10. No such luck. I was unable to access the site last week and when I could most of the free cruises were gone. I now only have some VIP cruises to choose from which expires 9/15. I have not gotten any offers for a while and I used to get an offer every other week. There just dosent seem to be any rational or reasoning to anything the casino does.
  11. Snazzy! I did not know that there were different courses and the tea served matched to the course like a wine and food pairing! . Love the pictures. Am definitely going to try the next time I sail Royal.
  12. Clotted cream has been hit or miss at tea on the Ruby, Discovery and the Royal. I only get the scones when it's available and they have been good.
  13. I want to try this! So many different teas to choose from in the drawers. Would be tough to pick out which kind.
  14. A New England cruise is on my bucket list for that very reason. I have not had a Maine lobster tail in years.
  15. I like the afternoon tea. The clotted cream with the scones and the sandwiches are good. The tea is nothing to write home about. I don't find the sweets that appetizing. I only go one or two times a trip as it tends to ruin my dinner as I like to eat early. I choose the days where the menu in the MDR is not appealing to me.
  16. Every lobster tail I have had on Princess has been horrible. Many times it's over cooked and rubbery. The tails are small. However, I have had some great cuts of beef on formal night that were cooked to perfection.
  17. I was on the Discovery last year for Halloween and there was a party on the Lido deck with a band Many crew and passengers wore elaborate costumes. The ship was nicely decorated. It was fun.
  18. Weird. I posted that there are very few free cruises available now to me and just checked the Princess site to find that all cruises under 20 days are free insides and even some longer than 20 days. This is the way it used to be. Hopefully, casino will lighten up some with points and PP.
  19. The casino has cut back on PP. It looks like only some of those that earn mini suites can get PP and a lot of time they don't. More people sailing so they are no longer hungry to fill the ships and subsequently offers dry up. I don't gamble enough for a mini suite and can't see spending that amount of money in the casino. Free inside works for me as I sail solo. I never used the CBS offers and used to get better offers every couple of weeks. All cruises under 20 days were free. Now only a small percentage of the cruises apply and I dont get as many offers. Even FP is less than what it used to be.
  20. A poster on fb reported that she had 14,000 points on the Discovery on a 4 day and did not get an offer. She emailed oceanplayersclub.com and received her CBS offer 3 weeks later. I also looked at my VIP offers and there is a VIP 4 day cruise. I could not imagine cutting out CBS offers on VIP cruises. 4-Day West Coast Getaway with San Diego Roundtrip from Los Angeles, California Princess Players Club VIP - Free room, free play & VIP benefits 2 Ports: Los Angeles, CaliforniaSan Diego, CaliforniaEnsenada, MexicoLos Angeles, California Interior from* $ 0
  21. That really stinks. They do not combine points on a B2B and the offers don't come until the end of the 2nd leg. Some people on fb reported that the first leg wasn't even counted. Hosts seem pretty unaware of what is going on. They have no control over the offers. There seems to be so much inconsistency to the offers and absolutely no transparency. Did you get offers after the cruise? They are usually better than what you get on the ship but not always. Again, no consistency. Hopefully, you will receive some offers for a balcony and 600 FP.
  22. What ship were you on? It's so inconsistant on what the offer will be. Some ships are better than others. I have found the Royal terrible at comps and the Ruby not the best.
  23. I would think so, too. I wish Princess would be more transparent and forthcoming with information about how many points needed for each category. I have noticed that it's taking more points for me to get a free cabin and Plus is harder to get. 4,000 used to get a free inside but not anymore that I am seeing. I had over 6,000 last cruise and got an inside with 250 free play. I was hoping for a balcony. The cruise before that I had a little less than 5,000 and only got 600 free play and no cabin.
  24. It depends on how many points you get playing. For a free cabin on a 3 day, you would have to spend a lot of time in the casino.
